I got all those, but have been trying to sort through Macross 7. I dunno, but I can't stop now! Nooooooooooo! lol Only 20 some episodes and one movie to go!. Or was there more. Man, that was one big file. The only thing I have to really complain about is the number of songs, too few. I suppose this would not seem as maddening as it does to me now, if I had watched the series at the rate of one episode per week, instead of however many i can cram into the time I have available.
Durarara!! is amazing.have the first ep, have not DL yet, just finished my bride is a mermaid tho, fun times
Durarara!! is amazing.
Go watch it everyone. It's got gangs and headless motorcycle cat women.
Simoun, a sometimes funny, sometimes heart-breaking yuri series. I love the concept it introduces of being able to choose your gender, and how the plot isn't completely about the romance in the story. It's also pretty cool if you like a dash of mecha in your romance/drama.ugh, but all the dudes sound like chicks, it is annoying. Make the yuri stop...

Hmm, yeah, they could have done with giving male characters male voice actors, but it's pretty interesting to watch an anime with an all-female voice cast. I happen to like yuri, so I can't agree with you there, but I'm sure you have your reasons for disliking it. You don't have to share them if you don't want to. = 3Simoun, a sometimes funny, sometimes heart-breaking yuri series. I'm currently watching Kimi Ni Todoke -AND- the 3rd and final season of Nodame Cantabile. The first episode just came out a lil' while ago (I definitely recommend watching this series, it's my fav). :>OMG! You are the first person I have heard ever even mention that series! From what I have seen of the first season, I love it! My G/F & I have looked for it to buy several times with no luck. I might have to search online for it & hope I get lucky...
I think next on my list is to rewatch Outlaw Star. I have it all on DVD and when I did see it, it was on Cartoon Network so a lot was cut out, including a whole episode.
MMMM...Outlaw Star uncut...<3I think next on my list is to rewatch Outlaw Star. I have it all on DVD and when I did see it, it was on Cartoon Network so a lot was cut out, including a whole episode.
I just recently saw the uncut version of Outlaw Star after not seeing the series since back when it was on Cartoon Network, and I absolutely loved it. The whole added episode was awesome, and the show is overall more enjoyable unedited. =]
Kobatooooo :>
I wish there were more anime like this D:
Durarara!! is amazing. Go watch it everyone. It's got gangs and headless motorcycle cat women.Durarara is sweeeeet. =]
I started watching Kurokami. I'm liking it so far, dunno about loving it yet but... http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=6211 see if you like it. I have 18 episodes to go will let you know then.
I just finished Rec. It was pretty good. It even has place number 159 on AnimeNfo's list of top 200 anime.
I am starting on >:( I hate Japanese only names, they are so much harder for me to remember,, kind of like remembering new passwords! Anyway, its the one with Tenchi Muyo's 1/2 brother. Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari, good thing I remembered where I saw it! Anyway, it's up to snuff with the rest of Tenchi universe stuff.
Also, am in the middle of Gad Guard. I can't say I'm loving it, but I do love the OP song, Boomerang Boogie! But then I have always loved Boogie Woogie music. Which reminds me of a random fact.

So how was Kurokami in your opinion?
I know this is sort of off topic but i've been thinking about watching Descendants of darkness. I was wondering if it is any good?
I know this is sort of off topic but i've been thinking about watching Descendants of darkness. I was wondering if it is any good?Fairly. The plotline is a bit sucky at points, but it is overall a fairly good show to watch.
The latest anime I finished was Maria + Holic. Thought it was quite funny, but some scenes dragged out for far too long, which I guess was the point since it was making fun of Yuri fanatics. Next up, I plan on taking down Bokurano, Excel Saga, or Hellsing. Probably Hellsing though since it's kind of one of the big names.
All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku OVA/TV/Dash. Y'know, it took me way too long to watch these.
I've also been enjoying Mobile Suit Gundam: Unicorn, though it's doubtful I'll buy the next volume until I can get the entire series as a boxed set. I'm already tired of paying $40+ for a Blue-Ray with only one episode and no bonus features.
Than there's Mahromatic. Took me too long to start watching this one as well, but I've been enjoying it.
Oh dear gods... I finished Hellsing a while back as evidenced by my avatar, and so I began on Excel Saga watching the sub as suggested, however, no episodes past 9 are subbed on YouTube, so I noticed an episode 10 dub and figured, "it can't be that bad!" Oh hell was I wrong. That was by far the worst dub I've heard, and that includes fansubs. I couldn't even listen to it for more than half of the first part. Dear gods, I reiterate was has been said, watch the sub of Excel Saga not the dub, no matter much Vic Mignogna there is in episode 10.
On another note, Hellsing is very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it, although I enjoy any vampire stories that promote them to be contrary to everything that is Twilight.
Arakawa Under the BridgeThis.
aslkdjflkasdjflaks
So goooooood.
DURARARAafter seeing this one on this thread I started watching it and loving it
If you like your anime to follow the manga, watch FUll Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Or so I have read.
Nabari had a well thought out ending.
I just watched the first two episodes of Valkyria Chronicles. I want more! It reminds me of Sora no Woto, and Sacred Blacksmith, but perhaps a bit better. The characters are more realistic to me.
I found myself watching the clouds in the show a couple of times. I think the creators wanted that. They looked good, and aided in the emotional set-up.
Episode 12 of Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari is out now! Wonder how long until 13.
@ BLue Leader, after Kanon you have gotta watch Clannad, and Clannad After Story.I really should watch it, I've heard good things about it.
@ BLue Leader, after Kanon you have gotta watch Clannad, and Clannad After Story.I really should watch it, I've heard good things about it.
Though by what you're saying, I assume Clannad is sort of similar in a way to Kanon?
I would say, more or less the same genre, but they are not the same story. They are just both very very good, and deeply emotionally touching. 5 stars from me on my Netflix rating.
There are no foxes in Clannad. Just starfish. lol
I see. I'll have to check it out than.@ BLue Leader, after Kanon you have gotta watch Clannad, and Clannad After Story.I really should watch it, I've heard good things about it.

@ Wuntvor; Valkyria isn't making me cry...yet... Maybe I read too much military sci-fi, or my being a veteran, dunno. REally if anything it's reminding me of Union generals during the civil war. Now all we need is general Hooker to bring his women along, eh? lol
There is a reason Clannad-After Story is ranked #1 on AnimeNewsNetwork.com
I also started watching The Tatami Galaxy and MAN, WHY HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THIS? It's super, super interesting. I'm not really sure what's going on in it at the moment though.
@Jaybug I found a site with good quality episodes on megaupload if you would like me to pm it to you. They are up to 8 at the moment I think.
I think Brave Story is to be the featured film at this weekend's Anime Friday. Isn't that right Wuntvor?
I can't remember if I mentioned these but I've been watching "Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water" and "Sakura Wars TV". Some great stuff there (despite Nadia getting really odd in the second season).
Yeah, they're older, but I've been watching a lot of older series lately. I've got some catching up to do as I used to pretty much only focus on new series. :P
Indeed I did. Especially when the Gratan was hit by Gargoyle's airship I was expecting Grandis, Hanson and Sanson to shout "we're blasting off again!" But, unfortunately, they didn't. Too bad, too, I would've laughed hard at that. :PI can't remember if I mentioned these but I've been watching "Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water" and "Sakura Wars TV". Don't bother watching the Nadia movie. It is beyond horrible. While watching Nadia, did you have any Pokemon Team Rocket flashbacks? Just curious.
Other than that, i need to somehow catch up with K-On! season 2. I like the first 14 episode of the series a lot so far. I thought it was going to be too dumb.

YES! I love K-on! a lot! I thought it was going to be dorky, but it's super kawaii and makes me want to be in a band again :)
High School of the Dead seems to be one to watch so far. Only seen the one episode. Some people will just hate it, as it is chock a block full of "boing" and "pantsu", gratuitously so, yes. Break out the sex and violins, er violence.

I'd settle for playing my bass more often. But my mother-in-law is going to be staying with us for an undisclosed period of time. :-\

I couldn't quite get to Macross Frontier, not after watching all those episode of LISTEN TO MY SONG! lol It seemed redundant. So go with K-On! Even if it isn't Slayers.
Gurren Lagann~!
Gurren Lagann~!
I haven't watched any of that. How is it besides Maria is freaky?
Gee, my avatar now looks like kimiski, don't you think? She just lacks the oni horns Lum has. And she probably doesn't speak in a Japanese Hungarian accent, dahling.
I've been watching Strike Witches. I like the story, but the upskirt shots tell me to never let my wife see this.

Or any FBI agent. (^_~)
It's really sad when the fanservice gets in the way of a good story (like Mahoromatic or Negima!)... but with that one, it got so blatant and constant that the full title should have been "Strike Witches: A Gynecologist's Perspective".

You could always watch Sky Girls (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=5269) instead. ;D
I'll have to look to see if Netflix has Seto Hanayome aka My Bride is a Mermaid. I would really like to know what is actually said in the last two episodes. Hey Mom did some of the worst subs I have yet seen. Can I get that with less than $22? That's my current bank account balance. :P
I kind of fell off K-On! after season two episode 16. It just got deja vu all over again for me.
Tofu, better go buy Portland Music then.
HOTD may be really fanservice oriented, but it's still a cool story. I am enjoying it immensely.
Now it's Arakawa Under the Bridge, lol, to recover from my Kuroshitsuji depression DXIt had such a good ending though xDDD
I started watching Blassreiter today. So far so good. Kind of making me wish I knew more German, so that I could see how accurate the anime creators were in the German spellings. So far they are spot on. I really like it when they go the extra distance that way.I love how the Americans are obsessed with the Japanese, the Japanese are obsessed with the Germans, the Germans are obsessed with the Norse Peninsula, and the Norse Peninsula is just awesome. XD
Of late i've watched gakuen heaven (a little yaoi, but hilarious!), R.O.D. (read or die), and ghost in the shell SAC 1 & 2. I just ordered ghost in the shell the original movie, cause i've never seen it (can u believe it?).
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt FTWTHIS^
I have recently started watching Kuragehime :D Its so cute *o*<3
^ Rozen Maiden is epic!
I've just recently been watching an enabridged Helsing series that's just full of win; it makes the unabridged Yu-Gi-Oh! series look like crap.
Ranma_-_Akumu Shunminko - This one slipped through my radar somehow. I just love the opening scene! Ranma, Akane, InuYasha, Kagome, Lum, and Ataru, all together and meeting for the first time. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. ;D
Gantz.
Lots of nudity, violence, and gut-spilling alien action.

Funny you should mention GANTZ. Are you going to go see it in the theaters (http://www.fathomevents.com/originals/event/gantz.aspx) next week?
I got around to start watching Inu Yasha. It's a lot better than I thought. I wish I had it subbed. I have to have the sound up too loud to hear the talking over the mood music, so I can't really watch it after work. boo hoo Watch it before work! Watch Genshiken 2 after work!
My anime club just started showing MM last Saturday; :D ;D :o !

I hope the members are all old enough! ;D Yeah, some of the anime available makes you go WTF a lot. Ladies vs Butlers and B Gata H Kei definitely did, and the current Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne also looks like it will have some of those moments in it. ;D

Technically (again), colleges don't have laws. They have policies.
(I know I'm being picky, but confusion of policies with laws seems to be getting quite common, and it disturbs me more than a little.)
Dennou Coil - it's good to see an anime that could be for kids in terms of characters, theme, and lacking fanservice, but doesn't make you feel dumber for watching it.
Anyway, I'm liking Hiwou's War aka Clockwork Fighters. It's just a bit too much of a stretch of my imagination, but for its target audience, I think it would do wonders. Make kids interested in physics, and science, but without trying kind of thing. I think that's due to showing the applied physics, rather than demonstrating the math of it all.
I also like the OP song/music. It's a rockin' little number. But then the music is interesting to me for all the little bits and pieces for the mood. Mandolins and other instruments I can't think the name of off the top of my head, and more than one musical catch phrase are used throughout the show.
This would be a good show for American kids, but I wonder if it can't be brought to TV here, because of the killing taking place in the late Tokugawa shogunate era. Or if they think that it is too nerdy, or what...

@randompvg - Have you been watching Fractale? The whole dopple thing made me think of Dennou Coil while I was watching it. It got pretty dark in the last episode. I am still trying to figure out where they are going with the story. :-\ Dennou Coil got sort of dark as well, now that I think about it. :)
I think the target audience for Clockwork Fighters is 10-12 years old. I guess. Never let a fact get in the way of a good story! Also, remember that here in Oregon the average age for a woman getting married was 12, and the men's average was 50. Do you think many people bothered to look after someone else's problem aka kids back then? They might have to feed them ya know!It wasn't the fact that they were kids. I would assume they felt the oldest two kids were old enough to care for the others, no, it was the fact that they gave them two horses, that appear to be thoroughbreds, probably Arabian. They aren't plow horses that is for sure. Want to guess the value of two horses in the mid 1800's? "Yeah, we will just give them to you, you need something to pull that thing with right? Oh and they murdered the entire village you say, gee that is too bad, well have a nice trip, we gotta head on to the next village down the road, we don't have time to go hunting mass murdering arsonists right now." ::) I'm sorry, I had a hard time swallowing that whole episode. Do they ever feed and water those horses? Were do they stable them? They give the elephant a name, but they never name the horses. I also am annoyed with the whole "let's not show how they got out of the predicament" bit. They do it quite a bit in this show. The story writer is a firm believer in deus ex machina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_ex_machina). Well I just finished episode 20. I'll watch the last six when I get up. Good night.
lol does anything have worse continuity than Gundam? The different Gundam series have pretty good continuity. You have to remember most of the series aren't set in the same universe.
@ lychee-twist - Have you ever watched Mahoraba: Heartful Days (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=2443), or Skip Beat (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=6103)? Basically, another season/maybe OVA was recently announced :)
I think I am going to love that Hana-Saku Iroha (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=7874). It's getting great reviews, and I really liked the first episode.I agree the first episode got me very interested in this series.
They don't really come together well until you read the VN, but I have to say, as far as coherency, the first season did far better than the second.
Toriko! GUTS, GUTS, GUTS!When I saw the OVA for Toriko I was looking forward to it so much. But once the actual series came out I was a little disapointed. The OVA is just ep. 2 but with way better animation. I saw the OVA two months before the series and when it came I was mad the animation was so much well...crappier.
Toriko is a dude thats a gourmet food hunter! He'll do anything to kill something and eat it for the taste!
His dream is to make his full course meal! It's like the latest Shonen Jump manga besides Psyren I think.
Anyway, anime just started and it's awesome!
Ok so I finished Fractle.... can anyone else who has watched it tell me... WTF??!! D<
Possible spoiler warning>>> The WHOLE point of that story was what? <<< End
The movie Colorful. Unless you are English where it's Colourful.
Brilliant movie. But it won't be for everyone. It's just about josei for a target audience. That's Japanese for chick flick. HA! lol

Perhaps you're referring to a different Colorful than I am thinking, but I was pretty sure that Colorful was a series, and certainly not a chick flick...

I haven't been able to really get into anything lately... I'll watch like an episode or two then stop and not really get back into it. The last one I watched in it's entirety was Fractle a couple months ago.
I liked Hidan no Aria,
School Rumble.Tenma my love! XD
I saw it at my library and picked it up and I love it and all it's randomness.
Cross Game. I would've never suspected I would like a baseball anime, but this one's got me hooked pretty good. It's right up there with any shoujo or josei anime for realistic interactions and emotions, and it's kinda sweet without being sappy. (^_^)
HOWEVER, Eden of the East? SO. COOL. I'm SO glad I'm watching it (and I was the one who suggested it xD). Can't wait to finish this (probably WAY too short) series!
Re-watching 'Sailor Moon' and remembering why I love it~
Also watching 'Tiger & Bunny'~ <3
Just watched Canaan, all in one sitting (only 13 episodes). Wow, really enjoyed it. Beautiful animation, an excellent balance of humor and intensity in the story, and some really great character/relationship development, complete with a couple tear-jerking adieus. Had my eyes glossing over at multiple instances. A beautiful, well-paced anime. Highly recommended.Oooh, a good anime I haven't seen yet?!
I'm almost done with Trinity Blood, have just finished HSOTD, and have been rewatching Total Drama Island (I know, not an anime, but it was still funny). ...what else was I doing?
Definitely desert punk first tho thats just my opinion
I just finished watching, "Angel Beat" .... I don't get the ending. Dx They should have made it 26 episodes, not 13.... so much more plot could have been installed in there.

I think that can be said about 90% of the series that have 13 or so episodes...

True. But the last few 13 episode animes I've seen actually stood as a complete story, Angel Beats was just.... wtf ending plot wise. xD

2) High School DxD - Lead character is a pervert and the anime seems aimed at guys.Hey I'm a guy and I didn't like this one either.
5) Maria Holic - Really unlikable lead male character (who dressed as a girl). For me, personally, one of the most unlikable lead characters that I have seen in any anime. He was just such a cruel, mean-spirited character.
^ ...is that one High School of the Dead? If so, it's not that it's aimed at guys, but fans of zombie movies, shows, and video games. Aside from the somewhat-stereotypical fanservice being used, such tactics were used because the guy who created the series is more known for hentai.

Personally, I thought this series was great, partially because he's a jerk. It should be pointed out, as well, that he's not the main character; that would be Kanako.
Watching Shiki it's rather interesting.
I've also been watching Galaxy Express 999... finally. That's one cool little series, too. Well, I guess it's not so "little" considering it's over one-hundred episodes long...
