Hey everyone! Ready for 2010 of Haurhism? I know I am! XD
This year we're planning to do a REAL photoshoot. The last two years has been show-up empty handed and in the end we end up dancing for hours. 2009 was a lot of fun! Especially for all those who joined us last minute. We got lots of viewers and requests and I can't wait for this year.
As such, we really need to get a shoot organized! An actual meet-up spot. An actual photographer. The works. Since we know the hotel this year, it'll be easier to plan where and when.
Also, aside from TMoHS, we want to do a real TGoHS. We talked about it but not very many people did it if any. We had a KYonko and Haruki for a while, but this year we want to do a Photoshoot with it.

I'm keeping a list on the first post. X3 Of course, last year, that didn't get us anywhere. But yeah, it'll be two different shoots and two different days for goofing off and having fun.

I guess it depends if you want to do the male uniform or not. You already have others to prepare for so....if you want to add another one then Yuuki could be fun. If not, I'll suffer for an Itsuko.

I'm contemplating whether or not I'll do Mikuru the Bunnygirl again. If I do, I'll definately need to get that outfit refitted for me, and maybe get some breast form adhesive, as well a sother stuff to hide my masculinity.

A lot of people don't do Itsuki since Kyon is more...main character and all. But I love Ituski. <3 We finally got one for our group so I'm happy.

Last year we didn't do vocaloid or know it much so I probably missed you.
I got my cosplay before I got my own place. Now I never money for cosplay. XD I've only gotten one in the last six months...where as last year it was like...3 every month kind of thing. This has been my only job so far. Hurray for no EXP!

Really? I loved the dubbed version of Haruhi. I think it's one of the only anime I like where the dub is better than the japanese. Not that the japanese is bad, I just think they did an amazing job with the english cast.

Yeah. FMA and Haruhi are about the only dubs I enjoy in english. Bleach isn't too bad, Naruto's not horrid and the Tsubasa dub isn't awful either. Wolf's Rain is always going to be one of my favorites though because not only are the VAs awesome, but the dubbing itself is flawless.

Everyone hated it for some reason. I actually thought they did a decent job. The writting sucked, but the VAs weren't half bad in my opinion.

But it's also the voice direction. Yuri Lewenthal (sp?) actually speaks japanese and so does Kakashi's VA. So naturally they're going to say it correctly opposed to Miley who doesn't know it at all.

Yeah, I guess that would be annoying. People can never say my last name right so I just learn to ignore it.
I just don't always trust the Japanese because...well...I don't speak it. I don't pretend to either. And fansubs or whatever aren't always correct. Plus, I'm just too lazy to read subtitles all the time. I use to a lot when I first got into anime, but now I just learn to like the dub. Again, most of them aren't terrible. I don't like Naruto enough to really complain about it's dub. I like it, but I also don't ever watch it. The few times I do, I just shrug and move on when they do/say stupid things.

We had some awesome Haruhi cosplayers do those versions last year. We danced with them and hung out for a while but they're not going this year. ;-;

Also, do we want two shoots? One for gender bending and one for regular? I know my whole group is doing gender bending and I heard other people wanted to, do I wasn't sure.
The only shoot I have planned is vocaloid day 1.

Not sure. I know a lot of people are leaving day 3, including us. It's a four hour drive to get home so we try to leave by noon if we can. So either earlier that day or another day would have to do.

The mall sounds fine to me. I think it'd suit the characters more than randomly doing it somewhere in the hotel I suppose. And we might not have to dance (as much)! Not that I mind.

I'd prefer Saturday and Sunday too if you guys are free. I know most of the shoots are going on those days but Monday is usually the exhausting day. It's all up to you though. I only am going to the Vocaloid shoot so I'm free any other time.

My group and I are working on our dance boot camp though. We have to teach three people the dance (two from scratch).
We know both long and short version for those wanting to do it.

Wow, I'm glad you're so excited about my return. Originally I wasn't even planning on it, but since I've been terminated back in June, I've had to either bring back Mikuru or Ranma, & I thought she'd be easier to return. As for the repairs, I've got another friend who (I think) plans on just making a new outfit. Also, a very close friend of mine is contemplating being Haruhi.

Actually, the first time was that she was thinking about it. She's done it now, and I am the entire reason why she did it. It's a funny (but somewhat innappropriate) reason why, so I won't post it on the forums. I'll tell you in person when you see what's different.

And he suggested I be Bunny Kyonko cause my hair is long and brown...

That makes sense. I had that problem the first year. Our hotel was like...blocks and blocks away so I could only do one a day.
If you wanted though, our room is open if you needed a place to store cosplay or change or whatever. Since we're down a person we'll have extra space. We got a room fit for 4 adults and a child with two beds so we'll have plenty of space if you did want to leave your stuff with us or whatever.

Oh that would be fun! Yeah. We usually end up with the same poses at the con. This year our group is trying for different ones anyway. We're trying to focus more on the gender bending pics too. I think we're going to be doing them more, other than the regulars since we've done them every year for the past three years. But we'll see.

Haruhi was our first official cosplay group cosplay so we get way into that one XD So we have everyone. We have an Emiri, Ryoko, Tsuruya, even the computer club president. Our group was going to be 11 people plus for the con, but now it's down to the four like I mentioned. So we have all the things for the others if people want them. XD
Also! They're saying the 2nd floor might not work for the photoshoot, so I'm thinking we should meet there around 2pm like planned and then find somewhere else. If we are allowed to stay, let's do it. But they're saying we might need to be moved.

yea i talked to your kyon lol he has my number hope you got the info or w/e but yea next year i was hoping that maybe we can have a private photoshoot cuz it's a LOT easier and maybe we can do it zero day? cuz i'll be actually free zero day in the morning and free on the last day after registration closes (1:30pm) so yea! we really do have to be organized cuz even CON was not organized at ALL with the staff's breaks cuz i only got like 2 breaks during the first day and i worked a 9 hour shift! it was RIDICULOUS! so yea! hope u guys had fun! and hope we can hang out during the year :3

It wasn't your fault. We were asking and talking about changing it like...months before the con and only a handful responded. It sucks it became a mess but I still had fun. The last couple years the shoot has been nothing more than 'gather in the lobby and dance' so the fact we actually took any pictures this year makes it worth while.
Next year we will just be more organized but it's hard when only like...three people are talking about it and trying to decide it.
And we weren't the only ones with problems. A lot of people missed a lot of shoots because the locations changed the day before and such. I know I ended up missing a couple shoots because of it but not enough to ruin my con. XD
