Man, I am SO pissed. My brother and I are HUGE L4D fans, so we've been looking forward to L4D2 for ages, but he decides he's going to be on vacation while it comes out... And I'm not allowed to pick up the game or play it until he gets back. >I

Jaqua, I know how you feel. My sister and I play shooters together, and I'm not really allowed to play unless she's around. Unless we've already beaten it countless times, then it's okay. XD

One of my preffered setups is
FN SCAR-L (the one with the 5 shot burst)
Katana (almost any melee weapon works really)
Health Kit
Adrenaline Shot
Boomer Bile

Boomer bile is AMAZING. I love that stuff more than I love pipe bombs, and I really love pipe bombs.
My favorite melee weapon for effectiveness is the katana, but my favorite melee weapon overall is probably the frying pan. It cracks me UP. Or the cricket bat... I feel very Shaun of the Dead, which I'm sure was intended. I'd also like the baseball bat a bunch more if they'd made a TF2 reference and made it the Sandman. I'd use it all the time. I wouldn't use a gun at all. I mean, they said that if you preordered L4D2 you'd get Bill's hat for TF2, since Valve makes both games and all... Sigh.
And speaking of guns, in L4D I always go with the M-16, but I'm leaning toward the AK47 in L4D2. I haven't found a favorite gun yet though. :/
IT SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ME THAT THE WITCHES WALK AROUND NOW.

I like the defibrillator...too bad I can't shock the infected.... :P I just wanna shock things--not revive them!

It seems to me the defib is only really useful if you're carrying it when you die... And I'm a horrible first aid kit hoarder (but then my brother and I are really selfish with our first aid kits xD), since I hate dying and I like healing myself as soon as things are going south, so the idea of not being able to carry both a defib unit AND a med kit is not very reassuring to me. xD I think we've used the paddles... maybe once?
Okay, is it just me, or does Normal seem more like Advanced when it comes to difficulty? My bro and I were playing The Parish campaign and I SWEAR, it took FIVE TRIES to beat it and he's still the only one who made it out alive, and even then only barely (something like five health left, no pills, no adrenaline, no first aid, everyone else already dead and hordes of infected spamming the helicopter). And we play on Advanced most of the time in L4D. This game is RIDICULOUS. The hordes DON'T STOP SPAWNING. I would hate this game if I didn't love it so much.

I noticed that, too. It's seemed pretty dificult at some parts. I'm not going to play it on Advanced until I've gotten the hang of it on Normal, first. XD

Yeah... I seriously don't know how anyone can get the Expert achievements. And with realism mode enabled? Hahahaha. Yeah right, Valve.

I think they have done that with other games with sequals, making the old hard the new normal. Maybe they haven't but I cant quite think of the game recently that did that, anyways it has been done before and its awesome (if you don't want a game to get harder after beating it, why are you playing a game!).

it did change cuz on l4d i play nothing but expert but with l4d2 i stick with advance unless im playing with my l4d group then i will play some expert

MAN YOU GUYS STOP MAKING ME FEEL BAD. I have terrible aim on Xbox controllers so my motto is "lots of bullets = you don't have to aim as well". :| Plus I get overexcited playing shooters and tend to panic and go insane when hordes of undead are running at me. I don't have the temperament for these kinds of games... And yet I love them so much. SO MUCH

Chainsaws are the only protection from zombies for me. It's sad but true. I just spin around with it running and I kill them all. xD

Anyway, yes. L4D and L4D2 were primarily designed as multi-player games and the single-player mode was added for people to get to know the maps and levels.
Ya, but when you get stupid people who join games and leave when they start right away, all you are left with are bots!!

well seeing as how the Riot Baton kills the tank 4x faster then the Spas 12, I'd say Killing the Tank by yourself is very possible.
