A lot of series have really epic opening themes and videos. I want to know what you all think are some of the best ones.

I really love the opening theme for Burst Angel. Loosey by The Stripes.
Resonance from Soul Eater, anything from When They cry, and The Italian Yugioh GX opening are amazing as well.

I'd also like to second Cowboy Bebop, Don't know how I forgot it.
I'd like to mention Neon Genesis Evangelion because their theme actually had lyrics that had to do with the show. Something that is kind of rare for anime as far as I can tell.

let's see, in my group of friends, we all took a role, I was earth because I was considered the black guy of the group for some reason, my friend Jared was fire, my friend Brandon was water, my large fat friend Kyle was wind, and my psychotic friend Caleb was given heart, and just out of no where, one us would yell our element and everyone else would then yell there's, and then my friend who we nicknamed planet would say captain planets biggest line... It was really funny.

Darkwing Duck was awesome.
I never really liked the openings of the Disney Afternoon shows. They were just a montage of shots from the first season. I like shows that have a unique clip or animation used just for the opening. Or at least a new set of clips each season.
Azumanga Daioh did use existing footage in their opening but they didn't just make a montage with it, they editted it around their opening graphics.

the second opening to death note. Neon, violent, sexy, i pretty much died of awesomeness the first time i saw it,
Elfen Lied's OP. Forget the name (Lithia...?sumthinglikethat) of the song, but the calm, brutal-ish imagery perfectly matches the series,
and despite a few others racking up plays on my ipod frequently, i cant help but love Ready Steady Go, from FMA.

I think only University of Maryland alumni would be fans of the original TMNT theme nowadays. Since a turtle is their mascot, and they play it every time the game stops in basketball at least. I have a story there.

I am especially fond of the first Death Note opening. I immediately loved the sound, and the animation is so symbolic. Now, when I listen to that song through earbuds, I turn the sound up(-ish) and pay attention to the bass, because for some reason, I always notice that. ::)
I also love all the Kuroshitsuji openings, both songs, and every animation. I think they fit the mood of the anime. Is it sad that I can sing along with half of them as well? ;)
The closing of Ouran is so inspirational too. The opening was nice, but the closing really spoke to me. :D

For me, it'd have to be one of the three Slayers openings; it'd be hard to pick one out of the bunch.
