Hey everybody
SO.
Since Ducky's party was canceled, we are here to patch things up. (for those of you who haven't made other plans)
Here is the deal. We are going to have a dance in place of the party, but we need help.
The location we have planned is:
Murray Hills Christian Church
15050 SW Weir Rd, Beaverton, OR - (503) 524-5230
They said they would be more than happy to host it, on one condition.
Adult supervision.
So any adults, who look, and can act responsible, we need you now. PM your name and phone number to me, if you can do this.
This party is this saturday, aka october 31, aka halloween. We will start setting up at about 5, and hopefully be starting up about 6-6:30. Yes its short notice, but we weren't given a lot of notice on this.

Thanks to my sister (the one who got us the venue), we have another chaperon, and are definitely in.

just for the record, xbox360 has the best DLC.

We have Motorstorm, Resistance, Killzone, LBP. Those are great multiplayer. MAG will have 256 player multiplayer (The beta has 128 currently). That'll be awesome XD
360 -does- have good dlc. I will admit, but good DLC doesn't make up for no good exclusives and a controller I couldn't play with to save my life (That thing is soooo uncomfortable >_>)

yeah, the thing is, the 3 that were on the dancefloor the most (me, will, and jeremiah) go to raves, and we see some of the worst dancers you could ever see. The thing is, even if you are a bad dancer, the fact that you are dancing is what makes it awesome! We don't care how good or bad you are, or what style you abide to, all we care about is that you move to the music. So if you are just embarrassed to dance, next time, don't worry about it, because nobody cares. Dancing is about freedom, and expression, so just go for it. It really is a blast once you get into it.
As for age, I am 17, so im not much older than you (though most people think i am much older). Don't feel left out, or like you have to leave, just because people are a bit older than you. We aren't going to leave you out of the festivities for any reason. Just enjoy yourself and have fun. Talk, dance, hang out, etc. Don't let awkwardness be the reason you don't have any fun.
EDIT: im sure you did have fun, but you probably would have had a lot more fun if you had just let loose a little bit xD

Everyone was happy that we had more people, and i assure you, you weren't unwanted. We were a little bit distracted, as everyone else had already met, and of course, we had never been introduced to you, which made it a bit awkward, but if it had been under different circumstances, im sure it would have been different.

I prefer that nobody gets left out of festivities, and nobody feels left out, because that creates awkward tension, and less desire to come to the next meetup/party/whatever.

im sure you realize that there wasn't a lot of time to plan. The idea of a dance was brought in because we didn't have enough time to plan other things. If i plan another party, we will be doing more than just dancing. there will be a time, when we will have a dance portion of it, but i will try to keep it a bit more diverse.

yeah, its a little bit wierd about you being the one she was talking about, but i understand it now xD.
overall, it was pretty fun. I'm upset that people felt left out, but we didn't have a lot of time to plan, so it was hard to make it to everyones liking. im hoping that we can do more with the next one.

this was the case for me too.
with the change of location, i was ready to not have enough people there to have a decent dance, but it seemed quite the opposite.
I felt kind of bad though because i kept having to tell people not to do things, and it felt like people were starting to get upset at me about it, but i was just doing what i had to do.
other than that, i had a great time, and was really surprised with last minute people.
i must have gotten about a thousand text messages that night asking me what the address etc was.

they are only so much bigger because they are on the corner.
if MHCC was on the corner, it would be about 10 times as popular as that other church because the people at MHCC are super nice.
