So, Anybody cosplaying bleach or planning to? I Wanna do some more bleach cosplays this year(even though I did 2 last year XD)
Perhaps we can make a list? I'm willing to. I'm thinking this year for sure I wanna do Rukia(shinigami) again... but I was thinking of doing Sode no Shirayuki, from the new filler, I do have a Sode no Shirayuki sword. it might take some work but hoping to get that done... but theres plenty of time. But those are my thinkings... and maybe a School form Rukia? I can probably do that. But probably will do something else... who knows... may wear shinigami and school girl on one day.
Well enough about me what are you guys planning to do?

Really? I saw a lot of Bleach, but it was mostly people just wearing the captain robes without putting in any real effort.

That was probably due to the fact, you could buy the Captains robes, in the Exhibitors Hall.

Bleach was pretty popular actually.. but some other stuff was more popular then it. There were like 5 Yachiru's last year, I gave 1 or 2 some candy that I had XD. I also gave some to Pac-man.

Been thinking more on my cosplays, probably Rukia one day(school and shinigami) and then sode no Shirayuki another one, but...I still need to think of my last...Maybe something from Fade to Black?(Love that movie!) Trying to save the money for wigs and such.

Oh that's cool they enjoy it so much ( it isn't cool when parents just drag their children along) they'll have lot's of experience later on.

My friend and I are in a bit of a situation and we hope we can solve our problem by posting this here! ^_^
The two of us live out in Medford (oregon), and have no cosplay/anime loving friends. Sure we have a few that like anime, and would MAYBE do some small cosplay stuff with us for fun, but there is no one into it like us. We are new to cosplay, just getting into this past year, but our love for it grew stronger and stronger. We have only seen two animes so far, and have also never been to any type of con before. We...know...nothing hahaha Although we have seen Death Note (and love it), our favorite is Bleach. We're like...totally obsessed with that show! haha I love Ulquiorra (and Grimmjow!!), and just ordered my cosplay outfit of him today and cant wait to use it at Kumoricon! My friend will be ordering Gin's outfit! XD
Here is what we would like to know... Since we have never been to a con before and would also love to have other Bleach ((or just anime in general)) friends, we'd love to know who all lives in Medford and would maybe like to becomes friends haha let the cosplayer's unite!!!!!!

I've watched alot of anime, but bleach is my fave as well, and has been for like...about 1 and a half a year. I don't live in Medford, Oregon, I actually live in Vancouver Washington, Just above Portland. I have...4 friend that like bleach(and 2 of them like death note as well) and plan to cosplay from it, if we see you at K-con its always awesome to hang out, or just talk for a bit and get email addresses to talk and all. Did that last year and still keep in contact with 2 new people I met at K-con. My first Con was last year(K-con 09), and I have to say it was a great experience, Con's are worth it to go.

My friend has a question though... you know how they have like skit contests and all those different things.... you dont HAVE to do any of those...do you? We can just come to k-con and hang out with people and go watch the contests and all that right? lol

No, you don't have to go to the skits or contest or participate at all, you can probably just hang out in the lobby the whole time, and you would still get a con expierence and still 'technically' have gone to a con, but its cool to go to panels, 'specially if its something your interested in. You can watch the Skits and such if you want though. Hope I explained your question okay.

well for the most part that's all there is to most of the captains, at least costume wise... maybe not hair and such.
I plan on being sosuke aizen just got my taxes done so I'll be getting my 1,500 dewlars soon and can get some kumoricon stuff done. I also wanna get a choker made like kenpachi's but that's not for cosplay I just think simple black leather band with some gold trim would be badace!

Ah, I like fanfiction myself read it all the time. Not a very good writer but hoping to get better.
I'm trying to remember...if there was a contest...I remember there was a Fanfiction panel...let me look in the book from last year...which isn't mine but my brothers... theres a lot of panels on how to write it, and there's some on sharing it, can't see any contest on it though.
Make sure you aren't planning to do too much, con's can be very tiring, and you may have things that may conflict but your not gonna know til later.

There are a few things I'd like to change to it... one of those things being to make the front of the jacket a bit higher.... its a little long.... but other than that... its pretty good and I'm happy with it ^_^

Substitute Soul Reaper Ichigo Kurosaki reporting in.
Can't wait for con to finally happen! Its almost here! Anyway, me and my friend are being Ichigo's shikai and bankai respectively, and another friend is joining us as Captain Komamura.
Also we need a photoshoot! Personally I say Saturday would be best in the early afternoon, but Sunday is also good.

Speaking of which, what kinds of candy should I bring? I've gotten two votes for Jolly Ranchers and someone wants me to bring Caramel Apple pops, but I kinda want more variety than that. I'm thinking I'll just stop by Candy Tyme on my way up to Portland and buy a few pounds of assorted bulk candy, but having a few things to look for would make everyone happy.

Kingdom Hearts is in Pioneer Square at 11AM on Saturday, so how about the park blocks? They've got trees and things to pose on, though the architecture is all European.

Saturday would be cool. I would go in my planned bleach cosplay but... I have other stuff planned for costumes and due to me not having a room at the hotel, I have to wear one costume per day and switching is still hard on me because I have a HUGE prop for my other character, which won't be Rukia sadly on saturday. But I will most surely show up to help out and take some pictures and stuff in my current cosplay of that day! If you see a Maka at the photoshoot make sure to day hi! That or find me on the 3rd day as Rukia! I'd be glad to talk to any bleach fans!

Hi everyone this will be our (hunny and I) first con ever and we are planing on being 8th Division Captain Shunsui and 4th Division Captain Unohana. We have been wanting to go to the cons every year but have not been able to set up time off to attend. Any advise on events we should attend? Anyways nice to meet all of you and can hardly wait to attend the con ^.^
Edit: I forgot to ask if anyone would like us to show up for the picture but if not its cool.

If you don't show up I'll have to go find you and bring you to it anyway. This isn't anything private, anyone and everyone is allowed to be at the shoot! And an Unohana and Shunsui will just make it loads better. Heck, at this rate we may have most if not all of the captains there!

@Portland_gal Welcome to the Kumoricon community! You'll definitely want to try and make it to the Bleach photoshoot, which is Saturday morning at 11:00 AM. Other events you guys should try to attend are the Cosplay Contest, the Kumori Ball, and Cosplay Chess. I'd need to look up when the Cosplay Contest is again, but the Kumori Ball is Sunday evening/night and Cosplay Chess is Monday in the early afternoon.

From what I gathered, counting you two there is at least going to be 6 of the 13 Captains if you count the ones who betrayed(4 if you don't), 1 lieutenant, a substitute soul reaper, a human, and three arrancar. Woah, we're almost even on good vs evil ^.^

The wavy cape part likes to be stubborn and hug my legs, especially when they're close together like in that photo and there isn't any wind. Come con time it should flow a bit better though.

I'll be Katen Kyokotsu from the Zanpakuto Arc on all of the days because I am too lazy to carry much else down beyond the two costumes for my friend and I. I am still finishing the swords since I was really unhappy with my sword at Sakuracon, so hopefully I can get them both done in time.
Our Kyoraku ditched us to go to Japan, so we are hoping that we can find and kidnap befriend one at the con. ^_^

bad news over here, my hunny and I were hoping to have our zonbato (garanteed misspell ><) made and ready before the con but we don't have enough material to finish them so I got to start over on them but hopfully will have them done for next year ^.^ We will still come in dress but have a different prop instead.
By the way where at at the south park area will we meet like across from which building? I read in the photo shoot forum that some of the photo shoots will be moving that way and figured I better ask.

Probably just the general first open area you come to when you go to the park from the Hilton. We can move elsewhere if we feel it's prudent, but we also don't have to.

Aww...sad day about your zanpakuto, but at least you'll be able to join us for the photoshoot! Yeah, there's no real place we're specifically meeting, just in the general park. Its easy to find and we'll stick out (just look for everyone in robes with oversized swords xD) so you don't need to worry about getting lost or not finding us.

I wanted to ask about the photo shoot, about how long would it be? My hubby's job wouldn't let him trade days off for saturday and he gots to head to work at 12:50 p.m.
Also would anyone mind if I took a picture of the group too?

Well you don't have to stay for the entire thing if you don't want to, but it can last as long as we want it to.

From my experience they usually last between a half hour and an hour, but people are coming and going during the entire thing. Also I'm sure the group will let you take a picture of everyone, its a common thing at photoshoots and most cosplayers enjoy getting their picture taken (why else would they go to a photoshoot xD). Just make sure you ask first, and everything should be golden ^.^

okay awsome ^.^ I will ask and I just found out that he is working all except sunday so any suggestions for a first timer to the con for soloing around? Oh and if anyone would like copies I can make some not a lot but some copies of the photos. :)

I'm a little short, 5'5 5'4 so if you spot me before I do you just grab me ^.^ I forgot I will most likly be heading towards there around 3:30ish depending on how the bus and max are running. ^.^

lol You know what I saw ya and totally spaced it XD but I survived the day 0 on getting the badge now to go through this again Saturday with hunny. ;.; I might just make him do it and snooze in the lobby while waiting or something. Did you spot me kinda hidding behind a large group that was behind a large group that had someone dressed in the bushy browed kid from Naurto and someone dressed in a very nice outfit with a chain/jingly belt? I was in full cos-play and learned a lesson, don't ever do that in 80 plus temps lol.

Hi everyone, wanted to let you all know I am going to post the link to facebook and myspace which will have the photos I have taken of the Bleach photo shoot and of other cosplayers that didn't mind having their photo taken so everyone can have copies. It was a blast and tons of fun, can hardly wait for next year already.
