Okay. Decided, because of life stuff, the first of these will be Dec 9th.
Theme will be... Winter! ... suprised?

Any idea as to what anime to show for the first meeting. Or would you rather the first meeting be more to orginaize everything so we are all ready for 2010?

I think I'll try to come! I'm in Beaverton as well, so it shouldn't be too hard to get there. And I could possibly try and help with some stuff!

And I think for a first meeting, we should just talk and plan for some stuff. And this will also give us a chance to meet before the Vocaloid meet up ;)

I was just mainly talking about the fact that she's gonna be my ride to the Vocaloid meet up.

Anywho, I totally spaced and forgot that i can't do Wednesdays...Though, because this is once a month, I might be able to get away with it...I'll have to see.

Ranking kinda, but more playfull then official.

^^ nee, it's getting closer! ^^ need to figure out what to do....
And NEED to clean the house. >< mom.. I mean landlord will not let me use upstairs if I don't clean the house first. ^^; and having it in the basment is not fun, too small, no kitchen, and SMALL tv... upstarts has BIG tv. ^^

I was thinking maybe just the start of it being a meeting like thing to figure out what all we want the club to be doing, if we want it more nights or not. and stuff like that. then maybe watch old school.. but not too old school, Slayers, just one from The Book of Spells. And everyone can see the greatness that is Naga..Aaahahahahahaha... *bounce, bounce.*

To have a Club be a regestered one, is there any tax involved? I rather have no free animes and no tax and keep the clud unregestered. I hate taxes.

Maybe that can be our first anime then. Like 2 or 3 hours of it each visit. That can be somethin' we vote on during the meeting.

Oh, and also reading up, some of the shows I'll want to show, I'll have to get a permition form from any of the under 18 year olds. Like maybe at some point Elfen Lied, or speed grapher. I'll figure that all out though letter and we can take about it at the meeting. I kinda would like to keep the group 16 plus. But I am not sure about that yet either.

blarg. I also need to contacts ADV to make sure I get the okay to do a viewing of it... Damn redtape involved with clubs and stuff.  Oh, speaking of... I need a head count to tell home many will be viewing.

So, who is for sure going to be at the first meeting on Nov 9th? Who will maybe? Who will bring people who are not on the forums?

As for anime, at this point we don't need any, not to this one anyways. We have CLUB set up stuff to deal with. Votes to take. Food to eat. Slayers with the bouncy Naga to drool over or hate.  ^^;;; But yeah, since we are a club, if we want the perks of one and the safty of one, we'll need to do things like letters to the companies that have the anime rights to get the okay to show them. I was reading in one place that small clubs, which I kinda want to keep them so we can stayin a comfy house, normally have no problem getting the okays for showings.

It's not for me. It's for club safety. If you don't live with them as in emancipated, then its fine as the law sees you as an adult. But if not then your guardian or parent will need to sign something.

i'm not legally emancipated, i can't be as i don't have a job, but i live on my own, and support myself.

hmm... im not so sure about the pantyshot idea.
if you can do the line art, i have a friend who is like pro at coloring via photoshop, and i could have him render it for me, after which, i could do some pretty sweet gfx work with it.

This was just a sketch, my coloring is a hell lot better when I take my time. and for lines, as you can see, I can not draw. That is the best I can do.

Maybe I'm just humble, but my best friend who I TAUGHT to draw
is like... 1,000% better than me, and her niece is a 1,000% better
than her... so... I'm minus 100,000% to someone I know, which makes
me feel very not good at drawing, I don't mind it, I just do my drawings
for myself, so they dont have to be amazing to anyone but me, and I
like my style personally...

did any of you guys see the picture of the two k-con mascots kissing,
the one that was at the art auction and was being drawn AT the CS?
that was my best friends niece. She is hard core awesome with copix.

If that is just a quick line draw then your other drawings that you take time on would make me think they only get better?  If you don't think they are much better then just keep at it and, like you say, will get there some day.  Still nice for something you drew fast.  I couldn't draw that outline you did (not the colored in one) in any less then 1 hour and it still would look poor, I'm not vary good at drawing.  You should be happy you can draw well.

I really do not see how it will be too bad a thing. 98% of people under 18 have anime clubs in schools or can easily start them up. And I never wanted this club to get too big to start with. I might be able to someday talk my parents into it, but right now they are too worried, and it's their home so I need to respect that. I only pay rent for the basement. It will even help out in some ways 'cuase we won't have to worry about the legality when showing R rated anime right away.

Good news. I did talk my parents into all age. still need people to get parents signatures when watching R rated for legal purposes. But, the rule of NO people that like hurting others stays. Hacking peoples' gaia accounts to hurt them, even if you feel they are stupid, is breaking that rule. Thinking it is funny for said action to be done is breaking that rule. Not caring how your actions hurt others is braking that rule. These three know who they are. We can talk in private if you feel you can abide to the rules during clubs, PLEASE do not bring it into this thread and start drama though.

And Now.... I have wiped the members list. if you still would like to join CLUB please let me know. I feel bad about all this and understand if you do not want to be a part of something I run any longer. But would love if you still do and will try my hardest to make CLUB a fun thing for everyone involved.

I am getting excited about this. Even if I end up with only one member. I know 2 people not on this forum I might be able to get into this too. I really hope some people who wanted to do this before will still want to. I been moody, and a few of my "don't touch or I will snap" buttons have been pushed, but only by 4 people, and 2 I feel won't even want in this anylonger so I am not worried about them. The other two have been good people mostly, just a little flaws in the me and them personality mixture. And one of the two I really wish would talk with me, I feel like a dush ... is that how it's spelt... I snapped, with good reason, but still... I feel crappy about it since, until that point, said person had not done anything to me dirrectly to justify me being a beetch and getting so mad. I really hope said person still is as excited about CLUB, and I would like them in this still be in it, That is if that person ever contacts me so we can talk.

But this will be a fun club. I don't have a lot of fun money but a good amount of the little I have will go to this. I really am excited to see this become a fun little small club of fun and stuff.... Damn, lunch is almost over already. ^^;; I'll be checking in here as soon as I get home. and checking my PMs and email.

Please everyone, don't let my one emotional mess up judge the entire of me. I am sure I can have Club become a great and fun Club for everyone.

Duno, but still will try to come.  Now with it dark at like 5:30 this and my distaste for tri-met (have not used max yet but 2 years of tri-met really pissed me off to "public transportation")  it will be a weighing of the pro's and con's to getting myself out that far.

We might be able to become a bigger club someday, and even have our own club house (not house house, but like buisness space, storage, and viewing thing like my dad has for his small buisness.) which would be fun. ^^ I been looking into that, but we will need to have enough funds for rent first for it to happen, or maybe save up until we can afford to buy a place. But it can be like a 5 year goal. ^^

I got some stuff at the dollar tree for CLUB today. ^^ I am also thinking of maybe a different mascot, one more ... Sponser will like friendly. ^^;

I got to go take son to martial arts now, be back in about an hour and a halfish.

I am getting excited for this. Need to start cleaning up the house though. ^^; shouldn't be too hard since I only have to do the first floor since no one needs upstairs and no one need to go to my home/basement.

xcthulhux - I thought you wanted nothing to do with CLUB because it has too many rules? If I am wrong about this then I, and a few others, have miss understood your earlier comments.
Also, I learned from SUCH, people who post almost never show and people who RSVP almost always show. so RSVPing is more reliable for me.
Also, thanks... I realise that you and HardstyleZombie are friends, but I rather him answer qeustions I ask him since he is the one interested in club. and again, going to the library, either public Beaverton one or a school one, gives you free access long enough to RSVP.

and now time to get ready for worky!! ^^ I been in such a good mood lately. It's thanks to the awesome people in this forum and on skype.

Okay. then that's the plan. But not this month. the second would fall too close to xmas. But starting Jan. So, first meeting is the 9th of Dec, then one on jan 13th, jan 27th, Fed 10th, Fed 24th, and so on.

Btw, I've never made petits fours before, so mine probably won't be pretty like you would find in most bakeries... but hey, I'll try! And besides, it's the taste that matters, right? >.>

Well sadly I looked at my bike and fixed a chain link from sticking, but I don't trust it in this cold whether and wont be able to make it to club unless someone at home is able to take me.  I haven't ridden my bike all week sense it plummeted below the high 40's, and sadly didn't plan the possibility that I wouldn't be able to ride there.  I bet you couldn't put the meeting up on webcam so others could partake, eh?  Any who, I hope everything gets solved orderly, and the shows are good.

CLUB now officially stands for
Cha Leaves Ultimate Bunka
(Tea Leaves Ultimate Culture)

- Cha (the mascot) leaves Japan (Ultimate Culture) to go to America
- Tea leaves and Tea are CLUB's theme items
- Cha (the mascot) leaves Bunka (the male mascot)
- Ultimate Bunka (what Bunka calls himself.)

We have two mascots, but the main one is the girl.
Her name is Cha. She has layered black hair with a small bun and golden eyes. She wears a black Wa Lolita dress with golden tea leaves pattern on it and a green obi. She also has a red tea leaf comb in her bun.
The other is a male red haired obi, who only wears a tea leaf covering the right spot. He always has a club with him.

We thought it'd be fun, so our mascots have their own little story. Cha leaves Japan (the ultimate culture), to get away from Bunka. That is just the start of the idea. It will grow a little every meeting.

The Ranks are
White Tea - Very low rank ( 24% or less active )
Green Tea - lowest rank ( 25% to 49% active )
Oolong Tea - middle rank ( 50% to 74% active )
Black Tea - highest rank ( 75% to 100% active )

Where you are on the rank will be based on many factors.
1: Meeting participation
2: Event participation
3: Fundraising participation
4: Charity participation
5: Donations made to CLUB ( May it be manga or anime for the Library, money, things to use at Fundraisers, Charities, or Events.) How it helps your lvl will be judged by all Black Tea members at the time.

Fee - Each Meeting has a 25 cent fee! hehe. a quarter. It adds up. Event Fee, if you are not helping run it, will be decided upon the event.

Article One: Help bring a good name to people who enjoy Anime and the Asian culture through charity work done by CLUB

why?! I'm so close to being 18. T.T It would get me out of the house too... oh well. I'll just join in May after I'm 18... I really wanted to join... oh well. -flips through illegal downloads of anime to find something to watch-

There is no rule saying you have to be 18. you can come to the meeting if you want to! we'ld love more members of all ages.

The three buses getting there were generous in getting me to the meeting 15 min early, even after getting off a stop too early. The meeting was brief but alright. We watched the first part of part 1 of Alice on SyFy for the rest of the time.

So Sorry About being MIA! My life has been so off the wall, be trying to find ways to make more money as I have only been getting like 12 hours a week at work and have more bills then I have income right now.

The next meeting is still going on, Feb 10th. So sorry about today, I forgot it was wed. I do not know how much longer this will go, at the rate of lack of interest. Please, save CLUB if you are still interested in this. Just post, and I can figure out rides and other things. Carpooling and helping with max/bus fees. Calling and/or meeting with parents for under 18 members who parents might like this. Thank you.

-Talk about how to grow CLUB, Making a flying and getting ideas where we can post it. Like fred myers *spelling?* Starbucks, library.
-If only people from last meeting show, we will watch part 2 of Alice, if new people show we will decide on an anime.
- I am getting my tax return soon so Want to start plans for an event or charity thing soon.

Free food will be there people, come come. ^^

Also, any artist here that want to join, please do. ^^ We need to get our mascot drawn ^^;

Please spread word about CLUB. Tell friends at school, college buddies, work friends. everyone.

well.. no meeting today... no RSVPs except one but we agreed it isn't worth a meeting is just 2 people total are there. Please, we really need more people. My house is safe, and warm. I wil have food at the 25th meeting. The TV is big for the anime after the meeting. Once this gets off it's feet this club is going to be really fun.
