So this year at Kumoricon I noticed that there wasn't a single Code Lyoko cosplayer, or anyone that I recognized. So I was wondering is anyone thinking about cosplaying someone from Code Lyoko this year.
And just because it's french doesn't mean it's not a Anime.

I was so close to doing an Ulrich cosplay, even had the stuff set up to order and everything but I lost most of my budget for it. Thus no Ulrich. Good luck with your Aelita cosplay.~ Code Lyoko is amazing!~

Y'know, I have never thought of a Code Lyoko cosplay before which is odd considering I've always loved that show soooo much. Jeremy is m'fav by far. =)
Though for this next con I am booked all three days and then some, baaaaaah. Sad day. ;_;

i was totally going to crossplay as yumi before i cut my hair, but now i would need a wig.
i probably won't do it this year, but maybe for 2011.
if i do a CL cosplay, it will either be yumi or ulrich

arguing only continues if one needs the other to see in thier point of views. The need is unimportant, cuz opinions are hard to change, and we are all intitled to our own opinion. You cannot make a person whose said tomato wrong all their life suddenly say it right. It's just wrong.
So the point to this 'anime is an art style' thing is pointless. In the end, its just an animation, like anything else, and there is no reason why it should be an argument.
What ever opinion you have, its not wrong if you dont think its wrong.
Besides, this is a cosplay thread, not a 'my opinion is more accurate than yours' thread.
Sorry, but I just wanted to get back on topic and hate it when people bring up the same arguments. We've all heard it before ::). So.

I'm excited to play her too. She'll be the hardest of my 5 to get ready though, because I have to loose enough of my tummy to feel comfortable in a short shirt. ^^; also I have never seen a premade so I need to find someone who can make it, the pants and skirt I might be able to find, and can use clothing dye if the color isn't right, but I will have to commission her shirt. And need a black wig. I have earrings like hers already, and her headband is easy to find even if I need to dye it too. Not sure about her shoes though. I think I'll commission them.
hehe, if I have the money, and they still end up having a masquerade, I could go as Sissi. Yes... drama outfit, but still, something she has worn. ^^;

i don't hate you, i just hate that you think you aren't good enough to wear said garments.
i think if you like something, wear it. it doesn't matter what other people think. whatever makes you happy, and makes you feel like you are doing what you want to do is what you should do.
if you want to lose weight, that is your choice, but IMO nobody NEEDS to lose weight to do a cosplay, they want too.

are you planning on cutting it, because her hair is much shorter than both of those, also, the color of her hair is a lot more washed out looking.
if you HAVE to use either of those, the first one is better.

I was thinking of doing a Odd cosplay, well... more like my Lyoko obsessed friend was/might be forcing me to this or next year, cause apparently "You act like him at school and all the time you MUST DO IT. NOW. DDDDDDD:<" So yeah.. If I do end up doing it, I'm totally shaving and bleaching my dog, so he can cosplay with me. 8DD 'CAUSE THAT WILL TOTALLY WORK. I will not be able to do it this year, since I have so many plans already, and I don't know if I'll have the free time to run around like an idiot and swipe food from people(even though I TOTALLY do that already.) as Odd. D8 SORRY!

@ xcthulhux: Yes I do plan on cutting and styling it, with help from my friend who's a commissioner. And I had found the perfect wig unfortunatly I don't buy things that arn't in the united states.
I just bought the first wig yeserday so it should be here by friday maybe Saturday. And about the photoshoot, It would be a great idea it's just..... This is only my second year with Kumoricon, so I don' know how to go about it, I'll also be attending the ouran and hopefully naruto photoshoots.

If you want to, you can save up and buy a pro photographer, or just get enough people and get on the official photoshoot list that all the con goers will have.

I just got a new wig for my Aelita cosplay...it's lighter then I wanted but better then the original I got. It ended up being a bright hot pink. I'll post pictures of them eventually. And as for the costume I just got started on working on, now all thats left is a little editing on the wig and to buy some ears and contects{maybe}.
