So far, 2 hours have broken the boss battle time for me. By an hour and a half. As I'm typing this, I'm
STILL fighting.
Playin CCFFVII, final bosses Avatar Genesis/Materia and Genesis all together took that long. The reason it was the longest was because 1. I didn't have Libra equiped [dumb move] 2. Mom kept askin me to do things 3. I was talkin with friends.
But really, it wasn't all that tough. It was all in one go.
Edit: HAHA I DID IT. one try no pheonix downs :'D
-
an hour...-.- because Xemnas in Kingdom hearts killed my hands....
but I was determind.
xDDD
GO FALLON GO!
-
Haha, well... I should have equipped Libra and Assault Twister+ before I went in, but eh, I'll survive..
-
It shouldn't be taking you that long. Are you attacking the right things? I know in that fight if you target the wrong things at the wrong time you'll not accomplish anything.
-
Yeah, i'm targeting Materia, but Zack ends up attaching the coppies. I'm knocking it down, I'm sure I'm getting close to the end since now every 30 seconds or so I get side swipped with Purgatorial Wave.
-
not sure how long it was but ff 8 final boss like forever
-
The longest boss fight I've ever fought took 45 minutes. That was Crosell in Star Ocean 3. I ended up running around the perimeter of the battle field with Fayt and resurrecting Albel and Cliff. They eventually killed Crosell. ='D
-
well, I'm not counting the fight with Genesis, since it's a seperate fight. but I doubt that it'll take as long
-
Demyx 3 freaking hours on proud!
-
Really? Demy took me 10 minutes on proud
-
Konan I have to tell you something I am special
-
I know you are ange, I know.
-
Yeah i know every one knows *Smiles*
-
:'D but we luffs you anyhow.Oh yeah, the other longest battle was in KH 2 against Xemnas
-
Mansex was a peice of cake XD
-
not for me, I had to do some cereal buttom mashing
-
I am a good botton smasher for mansex
-
same here lol
-
He went down down down like a rock
-
Yes he did. [/cries] I just beat Crisis Core... >> poor Zack...
-
Awws ZACK!!!!
-
Yeah... I'm watching the ending right now... It's only a matter of time till I start crying >> T_______________________T
-
I cried and cried trust me
-
I'll probably start crying when i go to my room
-
i don't blaim you
-
Haha well, I AM in the living room, mom would laugh at me >> xD then again, I'd laugh at my self pretty hard too for cryin over a character's death, I still do it though.
Edit: ROFLMAO, Kadaj and Loz are in it xD
-
I cry all the time
-
That one annoying boss in FFVII that dangles your party members.
Also, Sephy's second form took a while for me as well. >.> But not 2 hours.
-
d'aww I laugh at my self for crying. But it's just to get rid of my sadness for characters I've grown attatched to. >> Zack, Axel, Sephiroth, Genesis... Weiss...
Waa, I haven't gotten that far in FFVII yet, I'm still trying to figure out how to call a chocobo.
-
<__< saddly I still have not beated the last boss on FF9
-
Oh my god, really?
-
Edit: ROFLMAO, Kadaj and Loz are in it xD
That's actually not Kadaj, Loz, or Yazoo in the ending scene with Genesis. They are members of Deepground, the early group that created the Tsviets (characters in Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus). If you play that game, you'll see how this ending sets up the history for certain characters there. But yeah, it's not Kadaj, Loz, or Yazoo - since they weren't even created (in the remnant sense) until after the events of Final Fantasy VII.
-
For me....Fighting Genesis on FF7 Crisis Core was like...oh god...i had to pause and turn off my PSP and then get back on like over 3 times...
And Sephiroth was flipping long also.....I always play the preqel of every game first...I dont know why...I played Crisis Core first..then FF7...
And now im a bout to play Birth By sleep first....KH

Yeah, I didn't realise that till I watched it again, it's Weiss and Nero. I saw Weiss's hair and thought of Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo. I smacked my self when i listened to their voices more closely.
@Naru: I went through that fight in one go, didn't die either.
Seffy took me two tries, one cause he pushed me off, and two, cause I fell asleep towards the end of the fight.
Do you mean the Japanese BBS?
-
I don't typically play games with bosses, but the longest hunt I've had in Monster Hunter (that I didn't fail out of) was 49 minutes and 53 seconds against a 4* Monoblos with a 2* Bow and 2* armor back when I first started playing.
-
Sephy took me two tries. ._.
-
If you count failures, my first Yian Kut-Ku took me a little under 10 hours to kill.
-
3 hours to beat justice on Afro samurai on hard of corse
-
kh bbs isnt even out in japan is it? all i know is that its coming out 2009...ooh ooh..the mgs peacewalker demo is sooo good...ill post a link if you havent gotten it..
-
I thought so, because I'm fairly up-to-date with the KH series and didn't know if you had the japanese release. I do believe that it just came out not to long ago.
-
2-3 hours straight, killing the same guy with the same move. I finally beat him, then I went online, and found that all I had to do to kill him was use cure twice. Asifrakinshlagmakin undead bosses.... Now I don't play Final Fantasy Mystic Quest anymore.
-
Yogg-Saron. Not really that difficult, unless you have a Boomkin shouting in your ear the whole time, telling you to do the exact opposite of what you're supposed to be doing.
f****** Boomkins

Less hard, more annoying there. Try 4 Horsemen in vanilla... WoW these days is ez-mode...
-
mine is a pathetic one.... It was Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1.... That was the worst battle I've ever did. It took me way to many tries, and then my friends tried and failed as well... We just couldn't beat him. Then finally, we all sat down and said we are going to beat him.... We passed the controller around way to many times, and yet in Kingdom Hearts 2, I beat him on my second try. But I despise Sephiroth in KH 1.
-
Reminds me of the news report of a guild in FFXI trying to take down a boss and weren't able to do it even after 18 hours! O_O
-

try again, this time with less elitism :D
Needing 40 people doesn't mean it's hard, it means it's badly designed. And another thing: Since I doubt you are in one of the less than 5% of guilds in the WORLD that have cleared all content, maybe you should do so before talking about how 'easy' it is. ;)
-
Isn't one of the reasons they made raids in wow easier because only like 2% of players get to see it all?
-
Ecco the Dolphan, just that game was a pain in the arse.... I swear, the third lvl itself could be considered a boss because of how much time it took out of my life before finally giving up on that retarded game.
-
the final battle with WESKER in Biohazard 5 (or Resident evil 5, as some of you know it)
on the co-op campaign, it took me and my friend tyler 5 hours to beat him
not to mention the fact that he just won't die
at many times, it seemed like the battle would never end, just keep advancing stages
however, i've never felt more accomplished in the area of video games
-
I know a 2 year old that can beat the first boss on DK 64.
He's my cousin!
-
Longest boss battle I've had to do.. was probably the finale of KH 358/2 Days.
I won't spoil anything for those who haven't beaten it.. but the last 2 days are basically forced together, so after the 4-form boss fight on Day 357, you have to fight the boss on Day 358.
Needless to say.. the 4-form boss fight is insane. And the final boss, who only has 1 form, was alot easier than the stupid 4-forms. >.<
-
Wow...
Lots of games are like that...
Except for the FF games....You really have to push it to the limit breaker on those..
On FFXII, I believe the last boss is a Pheonix and it has unlimited HP.....I think it has like a time limit...
and then it shows the HP and it has a crap load of HP I think...Im not sure but when you kill it, I think it revives because it is a pheonix..
I can't remember very well but my cousin won against this blindfolded because of the gambits!
-
Yeah.. FFXII wasn't very hard.. especially if you had the Masamune, the Zodiac Spear, and one other ultimate weapon(usually the gun or bow, unless the person had the ultimate 2-handed weapon, in which case.. the most powerful/difficult (and optional) boss has been defeated, and at that point, the final boss would be nothing.
-
Wait..
Dont guns suck in that game!
I made Balthier stick to the bow..
Isnt it cool how all your characters are customizable in a way you can just have them hold any weapon.
Not like the older games!
-
Dont guns suck in that game!
Well.. if you ignore the fact that they are guaranteed to hit the enemy every time, then yes.. they do suck. But they're also pretty perfect for Fran, since she more or less sucks at everything else. Combine with certain bullets, and you can take advantage of elemental weaknesses, or inflict status ailments.
-
ah.
-
Final Fantasy VIII, the big fat guy in the basement of the garden at the end of Disc 1 or 2 took me over 24 hours.
Of course that's total run time with the game being paused while I slept and went to school.
-
The Sims.
-
Every boss battle in chrono trigger
