Well, every year I try to create an anime themed pumpkin. I am trying to decide what I want for this year. Any ideas? I have already done Inuyasha (http://wuntvor.home.comcast.net/~wuntvor/Inuyasha_Pumpkin.jpg), Hellsing (http://wuntvor.home.comcast.net/~wuntvor/alucard_pumpkin_pic.jpg), FMA (http://wuntvor.home.comcast.net/~wuntvor/AlphonsePumpkin06.jpg), and Shugo Chara (http://wuntvor.home.comcast.net/~wuntvor/ShugoCharaPumpkin.jpg). I also carved an "L" into a pumpkin. You can guess what that was for. Most of the people coming to my house for candy, didn't have a clue.
The stencils for all four of these can be found on these forums. Just search under pumpkin stencils. Also my daughters Sonic the Hedgehog pumpkins are buried in here someplace.
If you want ideas check out the Anime News Networks Annual Pumpkin Contest entries from last year (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/contest/2008-11-06/giant-annual-ann-pumpkin-carving/2). :o I am still trying to decide what one I want to try this year. Waiting for ideas. Something simple with only two or three tones, that is easily recognizable. Thanks.

My cousin suggested 'Trigun' or 'Cowboy Bebop'.
If you were to do 'Trigun', she said either Wolfwood with his cross, or Vash and Wolfwood.
And if you were to do 'Cowboy Bebop', she suggest Ed and Ein. :3

I should carve a Baccano! pumpkin this year so I can be THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST
Or Umineko.....an Umineko pumpkin would be more Halloween related. I must go think about this now.
I suggest something from a Horror anime though, as it would be sweet and related to Halloween. Higurashi pumpkin? :D

The Shugo Chara pumpkin doesn't load for me...
I would like to see a Final Fantasy Pumpkin, maybe Cloud, or Yuna. Kuja would be fun to see as well.
Maybe a Pokemon, team rocket? Or a Gurren Laagan?

I fixed the Shugo Chara link. I was linking to the picture on Anime News Network, and I guess they don't like that. :P
I was kinda trying to stay in a Halloween spirit. InuYasha is a Wolf Demon, Alucard is a Vampire, Alphonse is armor with a soul attached, and the Shugo Charas are a little devil and a black cat. All Halloween type stuff. Following that thread of thought... My wife was thinking maybe Alice from Pandora Hearts in her Black Rabbit form. My only problem with her is how many people would recognize the character on a pumpkin? There are of course tons of soul reapers in Bleach, and the characters in Soul Eater as well. Any ideas ???

This is what I did last year. And boy was it a pain. xD I didn't realize that the stencil I had made was messed up when it came to the eyes. So.. his eyes had to be held in with toothpicks. LOL

Pretty awesome pumpkin Namazzi. I may consider Ryuk if I don't find something I like more.
The stencil for Alucard from Hellsing can be found here (http://wuntvor.home.comcast.net/~wuntvor/Alucard_Pumpkin_Design.pdf), if you didn't already find it. Good Luck! Be careful with the peel away on the gun barrel where his hat brim crosses it. That really weakens the whole piece. ;) Also the cross is a bit tricky because of the peel section right next to it. Make sure your cuts are straight in and not angled, or when you peel later the cross will be out of proportion. Also the fang is sort of tricky. Most of the rest is pretty straight forward and not to difficult.

I can't find a stencil for it, but doing a Mokona Mokodi pumpkin could be really cute! ^^
especially if you get a good shaped pumpkin!
