Alright, so for my SSE Project I am redesigning characters clothing and items into clothes you can wear to work or school without getting in trouble for cosplaying. xD That's the short gist of it, anyway. I call it 'Cosplay Incognito' because you're cosplaying... yet not at the same time. Sorta like casual fashion for the characters, I guess.
Anyway, I need fourteen cosplayers for my project. I will be continuing designing and selling these afterwards, I just only have fifteen designs done right now and need them all sewn by the first week of January. Good thing many of them have jeans so I can just buy them in bulk at goodwill and alter the hell out of them. I will have a photoshoot in the Portland area probably some time in October, depending on how fast I can get all these clothes sewn and accessories made. ^^;; Well, here are the characters I need:

I will be wearing my Garnet design because she's my favorite. ^^ Here are the first sketches of the designs:

These are the first drafts, and I usually end up changing my designs at least a bit, but that should give you the gist of it. The photos from the photoshoto will be for a website where I can sell and take commissions for this kind of clothing as well as VK, GL, and regular cosplay commissions. I am also debating wether or not to give the clothing to those that model the characters(It IS going to be your size, afterall) or if I will give something else away instead; maybe sell them for like... ten dollars a piece ^^. You'll probably get the clothes; I have no need for them. xD

A few more points: This is NOT first come, first serve. I'll have a deadline for submissions that I'll probably put up tomorrow after I've sorted everything else out. I am looking for the people that can portray the characters the best during the shoot; if you've done the character in the past, that's even better! Not required, however. ^^ I also want cosplayers for models because that's who these clothes are supposed to cater to; COSPLAYERS! xD Another thing; you don't have to be the gender of the character; girls can sign up for guys as long as they are willing to chest bind and visa versa... except guys would need to stuff. xD

I'm in Portland a lot but I hardly know when I will go down. Like, I know I will be down for Halloween weekend and I'm moving down there after Graduation this year but between those two dates I don't know when else I would be down. Me and my mother do spur of the moment trips a lot.

:O yays! I've updated the first post with people and an announcement for those that live far away. ^^
And I doubt it will be during Halloween; I'm busy and there's no WAY I'll have all fifteen done by then. xD It'll probably be in December, but I'll be choosing people soon so I can get measurements. At the moment I'm fine; just working on Garnet, which I'll be wearing.

Exactly my thoughts...
December would be difficult for me because where I live I'm surrounded by mountains and the passes can get closed. ; 3; I really wanted to do this, too... But alas...travel would be a huge thing. If I can figure something out before things are due then I'll apply but if not I guess oh well. D8 I'm sure you'll have more than enough people to pick from without me anyways...

A deadline for the applications is set, but the photoshoot isn't up yet. The reason I'm asking for people so early is because I need time to sew everything and would thus need peoples measurements. ^^ The shoot will most likely be in early December.
I have fifteen outfits to sew in that time, afterall. And accessories to make.
EDIT
The only reason the photoshoto doesn't have a date is I still need to get all the due dates from my advisor and find a consultant. I have someone in mind, and plan to ask her soon; but she's never on. xD

My pathway is ACE or Arts, Communication, and Entertainment. I deal with Theatre Arts which would include costuming but I deal with more of the acting aspect. So I'd have to find a way to turn this all into a play...

I wish I could do the Aerith death but that would be so hard. XD So it would be simple things like Maes Hughes' death in FMA or when Serena tells Darien she's Sailor Moon in the Elevator...

Also you need to design a Tidus to go with your Rikku and Yuna designs. Hell just steal my Tidus costume, its missing enough pieces that it pretty much is an incognito design ;D

xD guys, I have to get everything sewn, the website up, photos taken, forms filled out, find a consultant, write an essay, make a planner, make the accessories, shop for fabric and things, and coordinate everything by the first week of January.
I'll design incognito Kuja and Tidus, sure, but the ones I have now are the ones I need to focus on. ^^;; After the project is good and over I'll just start designing and selling things in my spare time. I am keeping a list of designs people want, though. ^^

I pretty much did ideas as they came up to me. I've already got a Kuja, Tidus, Yuna, Vivi, Edward Elric, Alphonse, Winry, Wolfram, Yuuri, Alice, and more designed in my head; they justh aven't made it to paper yet. xD

If you need ideas doe outfits, that come after you've done all of these ones, I think it'd be pretty awesome to see all the Dress Spheres from 'Final Fantasy X-2' for Yuna, Rikku, and Paine done, for incognito cosplay. It'd be pretty awesome! =D
But like I said, those are just suggestions for later things~

I'm sewing Garnet today, and will be getting the fabric and maybe a few patterns for the others after that, and working on accessories. ^^

This whole idea is super exciting! I just have to mention again how much I love the Incognito Cosplay idea. I can easily wear my Kairi shoes, bracelets, belt (with purse and strap or without it) all I want but it's just the same thing day in and out. lol
Then again xD I don't really wear the purse/strap very often D: I wear the purse for shopping but I want another one of her dangly straps for everyday wear xD; But finding the right size of clipy deals is hard xD *attacked Dollar Tree for small dog leashes last time*

lol School is nothing xD I work at a State office building and wear my Kairi stuff xD Then again, I don't deal with the public and we're pretty relaxed in my unit

Also not trying to give you more work, but the first six Final Fantasies need love too! At least IV-VI, cause it'd be awesome to see incognito designs from those. Especially Kain and Cecil from IV, maybe Edge too ^^

Yeah, if I put my mind to it, I could get a bunch done in a very short amount of time.
Rikku will especially be easy; All I have to do is dye the cargo pants I have(they aren't green enough yet; tailor them too), make the shirt with the leftover from the Garnet one, et cetera. ^^

If you want further proof of her skills, compare her Yuna to my Tidus, which I (somehow) managed to do in one day xD

It's not that good. xD Yeah, Yuna's dress was one day and the wings and feather thing was done in about four hours Friday night. ^^ Garnet's skirt was about half a day, and her shirt was about another day because I reenforced the hall out of the seams to make this one last. xD
Yeah, I'm making them all. I decided that I'll just give you guys the clothes. xD So I'll get measurements when I decide to choose people *I may do it sooner to get a jump on things when I get Garnet done* then we'll have the photoshoto when they are all done, then after I present in January/Feburary, you can all come and get them. Unless you live too far away, like chealsea will be, then I'll ship it. ^^

I know; it makes me happy. xD I was going to do clothing design anyway, but had to figure out how to narrow it down. For a while it was designing VK and Lolita clothing, now it's this. ^^

I'm getting ready to try my hand at designing a lolitta costume for an original character I've wanted to do, "Ace of Spades". But I realised that would be harder so I changed it to "Queen of Spades"........ for now xD

xD No, Garnet doesn't have first place ribbons. I actually didn't realize they looked like those until after designing them. ^^;;
She does have gathering at the bottom of the skirt now, though. x.o I hate that stuff. And I'm thinking of stitching some of the glass beads I'm using on my Queen Garnet cosplay into either the bottom hem of the vest, the choker, or both.

Scarlet, I only read the first post but just a warning for SSE, you CAN NOT charge people for these outfits if you give them to them to count towards SSE. I mean you could lie and all, but it'd be a better bet to just hold onto them until SSE is all good and done with.
(and you've passed/graduated, so they can't...revoke your passing)

Garnet and Rikku are done and have pictures taken of them; I have the patterns and fabric for Zidane, the accessories are almost done, and I have a lot of the fabric for the others. Especially blue and white; but most of what I still need to get I'll be getting after getting measurements from people. ^^
