So at con I was taking to find a Gary when I was Duke... to see who could get more fans... So which one is cooler...
Duke- owns his own game store, made his own game DDM, and plays with dice (also his own theme song and warning)
Both- have many cheerleaders! Wear a cool looking necklace!
Gary- grandson of Prof Oak, catches pokemon, owns his own island....

you should have duke devlon, but also have a boom box that has his theme song on it as well, and play it everytime you talk. The theme I'm talking about it right here:

But why are we comparing a 17 year old character to a 10?-12? year old one?
It does kind of effect the results in my opinion.

that's true, but I will stick with Duke until Gary get's his own awesome theme song (the one he has now is nothing compared to Duke's, and there is a pokemon abridged that's decent)

I was thinking of putting the song on repeat on my iPod and have it playing at the con as I walked around but I had enough people sing and quoting I did not need it! But I will do it next year!

Duke also drives a convertible and his is Teal! *whispers* Joey and Tristan got thrown out of it because they did not wear a seat belt too! He teaches a lesson always where your sit belt! :P

gary oak also teaches lessons.
i don't know how many of you have seen the alternate pokemon series with stories from past characters (can't remember the name) but gary oak is a prof. and owns his own island, where he ressurected the ancient pokemon aerodactyl.
so gary oak is more badass.
duke may own a game store, and may have created his own game, but gary owns his own island, and in theory, he created his own pokemon.
which is much more badass IMO.

I voted for Gary too, just because Pokemon is just plain WIN and Duke is only skilled at rolling dice, Gary is a ninja that comes out of nowhere and actually does stuff. : D

i definitely agree.
With supporting facts, gary oak definitely wins as a character.
the only reason duke is winning is because he is a pretty boy.
also, there was a few things you forgot to mention about gary in the OP
He is always there first
he also has his own theme song in the anime, and in the video game.
he is also a professor and "already has 10 badges"
not to mention an umbreon.
