The top should be pretty easy. And I've seen patterns that look alot like the jacket that she wears. If you go to joanns with a reference, and just look at all the pattern books, you should find something that works. I think you could find shorts patterns too. or find some at a goodwill or something like that.
Those shoes look just like Allen Walker's shoes xD. I cosplayed him and I made the shoes. If you want, I can explain how to make them, but it may take alot of typing xD so you could PM me if you want.

A little off topic i think, but I was thinking of doing a vocaloid cosplay skit? I've never been in a skit before and thought it might be fun.
Ideas were kind of,
Rin finds Kaito kissing Len and attacks with fake road roller or something. Miku doesn't get what is going on and why rin is suddenly trying to kill Kaito. Chaos ensues when the destruction of ice cream comes into play.

Voca - Idol. Sing off between vocaloids, trying to prove they're the best for their master. We could think of silly things for the vocaloids to do on stage. For example, Miku could be doing Levan Polka and her leek flies out of her hand and hits one of the other contestants. I (Taito) wouldn't mind taking a hit for the team XD.

you should be able to find just reading glasses like that at Fred Meyers, or Borders. You could pop the lenses out if its too hard to see in them. Also, Icings usually has fake glasses with lenses that dont do anything.

I had a tummy tucker on for halloween, and tight shorts. Meiko cosplay would show my 2 bad spots. Upper arms and tummy. I do not want to feel uncomfortable when I cosplay. I can get to what I need to be in time if I focus. And a highschool friend I have not seen for 10 years is coming to kumoriCon so me wanting to be the 120-125 I was when I was in higschool can help me keep on track with it. ^^: But I won't know for sure until late June. Just yell at me to keep my eyes on my goal. and not eat bad stuff. and keep moving. ^^;; Blarg... that was wordy..... me no comfortable as of now as Meiko. Can be, but not now. and a note, I have been 5'4 since I was 14, so 125 is a healthy goal for me. 5 lbs a month. and getting wordy again.. >< Sake!!!!!!! Yeah, As long as I lose enough weigh in time to give proper measurements I am going to go with the second one. I put the images together in paint and printed a bunch and have them in places to help me exercise more and eat better. ^^

Doe, I might be able to make you a pair. The easiest and I think the best looking way to get the mic piece, is to actually buy a headset with an attached mic, and then I could make the head phones part over it. I want to get my Meiko outfit.... but I do not know how to measure the "I think I will be" measurements? Waist would go down less then hips right? Because my waist is already pretty small, I just have a small pudge above it and a big pudge below it. (although not as big now since I am loosing weight. ^^) Also, chest size, that goes down too right? don't need to worry about thighs since it's a skirt and my lower legs are not chubby. (I like my thighs, so I will be doing things to gain muscle to replace the fat so I still have my good size thighs.)Probably measure just a few inches below of what you are now. I'm not sure really. I mean it's always better to have the costume a little bigger so maybe just make it at about what you are now(just a little smaller) because sound like you don't need to lose much before your at your wanted size.

Hey guys, I have a bit of Dilema about my shoes for synchronicity Luka. I'm not going to buy boots because I want them to be the right color to match and I also don't want to spend a lot of money on shoes.
My problem though is what type of shoes to use as a base. heels would be more accurate but I'm already really tall as it is. But I also have a pair of flats I was planning on using. SO for those that have seen/met me or that have a good opinion on this what type of shoe should I use?

I found a really cool belt for a strap for Kaito, Katie's Meiko wig came, and I think on thursday we are going to make all the hair accessory things. And we might be able to take preview pictures on Thurday too :DI hope we can take preview pics! If I have my wig all decorated and we practice the makeup, we should be good.

I think the toughest part was the sleeves. I thought I can make them in a day or two....a week later I was still working on them, mainly because I decided to make the panels light up (cosplayers curse) but in the end it was worth it and I have alot of fun being Haku.

ThanX! *blushes* well, I'm kinda over committed for props and cosplay stuff right now but I can look for the parts I used and tell you what I used & how I put it together if you want.
The sleeves were hard for me cuz I'm not that good at sewing so I'm sure most people could make nicer ones for you.
The panels on the sleeves are really just smoked plexiglass with a music score painted on them and then 2 light strips mounted behind them. Pretty easy really.
The headphones came from a 2nd hand shop and the lights are those little light orbs they sell to go on key chains or dog collars.
A fun project all in all.

How do you guys know how to pose in photos that mirror a Vocaloid's personality? I can't find information on the Vocaloids and who they are anywhere, just that they're singing software and have pretty costumes.
I want to know because I may plan a costume in the future for Vocaloid, but for now I honestly can't get into it because I don't know how they would act and I need to know character personalities to cosplay them effectively. D=

But for some reason when I look up the original Vocaloids (Miku, Kaito, Gakupo, etc.) it only talks about the technical aspects of them, rather than their personalities. If I were to cosplay as one of the originals, how would I know?
