A girl was starting her senior year of high school this week. She lost control of the wheel and rolled into a nearby ditch and was killed when the roof caved in. Her name was Amanda Reyes. She was a good friend of mine and a very kind hearted person. She was a cheerleader and yet she was in love with all things anime. Not that there's anything wrong with that. She always laughed about the whole thing.
She died a few days before the convention she'd waited years to go to. Finally getting up the nerve to go to her first real con, she died.
In memory of her, I want to try and have this Kumoricon dedicateed to her. Let her not be forgotten... She will not miss this convention. She won't miss out on the fun with her friends.
We all lvoe you cheerleader-chan.

Oh wow... That's quite a said thing to hear.
I give sympathy to you and her family.
I'll make sure to honor her memory, while at this con.
In fact, this is my first real con, and I'm going to be a senior this year, as well.
May she never be forgotten, by her loved ones.

Our hearts are with her family and you.
Thank you for posting, as I go about my con business I will honor her as well.

That's tragic. :(

Eesh, that really is sad. Very sad indeed. :(
I wish her family and friends the best of luck through this difficult time.

Wow, Kori, I'm so sorry; I had no idea. How terrible. I hope you're okay, and that the family will heal quickly.

I heard about that. :c My friend was a cheerleader with her, and it hurts just to read about it again.
May peace be with her. She sounded like a kind, fun-loving person and I wish I had gotten a chance to meet her.

I'm sorry. I believe she was with us at the con in spirit.

I'm so sorry for the loss of a fellow con goer, she will always be with the people who remember her, no matter what, and I know she's in a much better place.
