As of now, I entirely plan on cosplaying Vergil, once I get decent boots and gloves. >.>
Anyway.. I was wondering if there was anybody else planning any DMC cosplays? I know I've seen a few before, but it's never really been talked about on here. Plus, it's always been Dante or Vergil.. it'd be nice to see an awesome Trish/Lady/Nero cosplay at k-con.
So.. any comments? Suggestions? Contributions? Umm.. anybody beat all 4 games recently? XD

Lol.. I'm sure you'll see me. I'm sure 2/3, if not more, of my k-con planning is walking around for photos and hanging out. lol
And you should feel free to talk to people you don't know. It's kumoricon.. everybody going has a shared interest in anime/manga/cosplay/video games, so you already know you've got lots in common with everybody else there. lol

Well, I'm definitely gonna be there all 3 days, most likely cosplaying Vergil all 3 days, since I only have 1 other costume available to me, but it would required shaving my head or getting a bald cap, and I dont really feel like doing either of those. lol
The tell-tail sign it's me.. if there even are any other Vergils there, my coat is a bit oversized, slightly, so the bottom will be about 1-2 inches off the ground. So, just look for the Vergil with the excessively long coat. lol
And yeah, Vergil is my favorite character too. XD

That reminds me, if I do run into you, I have to keep myself from attempting to kidnap your coat.
I've always wanted a Vergil coat, and each of Dante's coats, just to have them. :3

Actually, I totally wanna get together a rockband 2 group cosplaying from DMC3, like the bonus gallery pic with dante on guitar, jester on mic, vergil on bass, and lady on drums. XD

That''s good.. because if you ever compare shots of Dante and Vergil from DMC3, particularly during the cutscenes when Vergil's hair is let down(like during the fight in the rain on top of the tower), they actually look identical.. it's just their clothes are different, and Vergil wear's his hair differently.

Yeah.. a wig shouldn't be an issue.. plus you can style the wig, then you won't have to style your hair every day like I will >.<

@ Agent and Cloud: This is something that she's still finishing but she should be done with it real soon. She's done some test pictures with what shes got done with but she already took them off her page ._. I approved them though! XD I think shes very good =D I'll give you the pictures once shes done with everything!
And I did tell her to get some of those toy guns that make those rediculous lazer noises! XD Shes thinking about it hahaha~

That's totally cool. The way I see it, a group is a group, but they're people there with their friends to have a good time. If their friends are with them, that's totally good. I mean, if you're taking a group photo, then the friends just stand off to the side, since they aren't part of the cosplay group, and it doesn't bother anybody.. then the photo is done within 30 seconds, and you continue hanging out.
Like, I honestly don't see why people would dislike the idea of friends hanging out with a cosplay group they don't fit into.. they're still friends with somebody that does fit in it.
Sorry, rant. XD
But yeah, you can totally hang out with us.

Yeah I don't see why either. But that's happened to me many times and I feel kinda left out because I'm not in the same cosplay group as others. Its kinda sad because just because I'm not a character from the anime or game doesn't mean they have to shun me XD

Are you guys getting a room? I've got one for 3 nights, so I'll be there sometime friday evening. So, we could meet up the night before.. or on saturday, but it'll depend on when we're all actually in and have our lanyards and whatnot.

Sadly no we don't have a room so meeting up on Saturday would be best for us. We usually get there around 7-ish 8-ish though...
I do agree that the lines are pretty long, pre-reg or not (especially the non registered line XD). But last time we got in pretty fast. Hm...I think I should just look for you when we get there. I mean, I don't know any other Vergil's that are going to be there so I think it would be easy to find you =D

I'm not exactly sure when I'll be up and about at the con, though it'll probably be around 10am at the latest. Depends on how early I go to bed, and how well I can sleep on the hotel bed.
But yeah.. probably won't be too many other Vergils.. and if nothing else, look for the one with an awesome looking katana. XD

And finishing the costume is of the utmost importance! Vergil is one of two costumes I have available, and one I'm not planning on wearing at all, so I'll more than likely be Vergil all weekend.
But it will definitely be sweet.. I was never really part of a group last year, so it'll be fun being part of a group, or mini-group, this year. :D

The harness I am having a bit of trouble with. I need buckles and I don't exactly know how to make the harness. I Have an idea but I don't know if it will work, I'd have to cut it out... I JUST have enough and money is a bit tight right now with a bunch of parties I HAVE to help with.

I probably could pull of dmc3 lady as well but spent a lot with the whole pinstripe suit and leathers XD

Yeah.. well, by standards, the Dante from k-con last year wasn't any Dante.. it was more or less a generic Dante, since he didn't quite have any of the defining points from any of the games. XD
But that could be interesting. I'll have to boot up my DMC4 game to try getting a 360 view of lady.. the high-res rendering photos available online are good for a front due, but I'm not sure if the belt/harness is actually attached to the leg straps.

Alright.. So, I've got the library character thing pulled up on my TV, so I've got a basic idea.
And actually, after viewing some cutscenes.. are you talking about the waist harness that's got the ammo pouches and whatnot, or the shoulder harness that basically prevents her boobs from popping out? XD

Oooooohkay.. that's basically what threw me off, cuz when I read harness, it never really popped into my mind, the shoulder ones.. I just immediately thought waist harness for ammo and guns and stuff. XD
The shoulder harness should be alot easier. lol. Anyway.. after looking at it.. basically, I'd suggest trying to figure out exactly the measurements and look so it will look good, then actually sew it to the shirt, if you have that option, then.. again, only if it's possible, the front strap, I would sew to the inside of the shirt, just far enough that it overlaps(or would it be underlaps in this case? XD) with the harness on the outside, and sew it all the way through, so the leather on the outside and on the inside are sewn together. Should prove to be sturdy.. not sure how comfortable it'd be though. XD
But, being that the harness seems to go right up to the collar/edge where the shirt folds out, it shouldn't be hard to just put the strap right across there, so it'll go about an inch or two beyond that same folded point of the shirt, though, underneath.
I hope that makes sense.. just an idea, unfortunately I don't exactly have the pattern for the harness and whatnot.
Otherwise, I'd suggest just figuring out the pattern for the harness, making it entirely separate so you can try it on, make sure it fits just right, then make some slits in the shirt, somewhere in the area where the folded over collar/front is able to cover, then feed the straps through there.
But generally, I think my first idea would look alot better.

Yeah.. just throwing out some ideas. If you had more money, I'd suggest trying to find a leather pistol harness, and either use that entirely, modify it to be right, or use it as a pattern for your own harness that doesn't have too many adjustable straps or a pistol holster attached.

Which.. actually, just fyi, I'm looking at comparisons, and DMC4 Lady is actually very close to DMC3 Lady.. so if you managed to get a bit more money, or perhaps for k-con next year, you can actually do DMC3 Lady.
I mean.. the only major differences are DMC3 doesn't have the harness, and the belt/ammo holster/whatnot is basically the DMC4 one, with leather on the front as well, to make it look more like a skirt. Other than that.. her shorts underneath are like black or some dark color.
The difference in boots is barely noticable.. so really, you'd need to modify/make another belt thing.. and that's pretty much it. XD

Slap on a skimpy dress shirt and short shorts with the belt thing I'm good to go

True.. you could always just get some underarmor type spandex shorts at Dick's sporting goods, or some other similar place, get a skirt about as long as it should be, and you're set.
Well, technically the DMC3 shirt is a bit shorter.. but I'm sure the shirt you have would probably work with either. Atleast until you get the harness done.

No, DMC4 Lady is fine.. anybody that knows DMC will know Lady, so it should work fine anyway.
Though, if you wanted to try working on a DMC3 lady for sunday or monday, as long as it doesn't interfere with your DMC4 Lady too much, it could be fun to have you switch over a day or two into it.

I wish he hadn't died too. Hopefully they'll develop Nero into some newer version of Vergil.. so atleast you can use the Darkslayer style, to full extent, and not the weaker Dante version.

I really want to know what he would look like in DMC4 I mean ive seen photomanipulation of it but the new DMC4 is to suit Dante's personality more(I think).. Vergil being the (well seeming) more of the elegant I can't see him in a cowboy outfit. XD

XD, for the little amount she wears, its extremely complicated. Got my boots and clothes done however, the only things left are the leather harness and leg straps Other than that! Hoorah!

Aarrggghhh!! This is so tedious waiting for k-con. I have everything I need to finish my hair.. assuming I have enough toner.. but I have to wait for another day or two to actually finish it! >.<

Well, if we were nextdoor neighbors, I'd probably let you borrow my headphones. I've got like 2 on-ear style, and like 15 in-ear style headphones. XD

The last job I had, like a month after I got it, they were throwing out a bunch of bins of accessories for stuff.. and since it was an electronic store, there ended up being a bunch of earbuds in there, so I snagged like 10 of them. XD
But yeah.. I'm really excited now. I'll be finishing my hair in the next day or two.. got my boots.. just need to go grab some gloves, and those won't be hard to find.
Oh, and if I have time and money, I may need to get some yellow dye as well, so I can dye the cord on my katana sheath yellow, since it's actually white at the moment.. and the cord on Vergil's katana is a gold/yellow.

Hair is officially white.. though, the toner was in a little too long, so it's just slightly purple in some parts. But that should be washing out today or tomorrow.

Well, basically.. it's just 2 circles of leather, that go around your shoulders, a leather strap across the back, and the strap/buckle in the front that goes through the shirt.

So I was going to get my hair done white and they told me (and showed me with a test strip) how far THEY would take it. Well it wasn't white in the least. How did you get your hair so white? Mind you I asked a "professional" because I have never done any coloring myself. Any Help would be great, Thanks.
PS I'd rather not kill my scalp to much ><
