Title: table top folks--any Call of Cthulu?
Post by: RemSaverem on August 09, 2009, 10:56:33 pm
I've befriended the director of a soon-to-be-released full-feature film based on a Lovecraft story. Wondering if Kumoricon presently or historically has any Lovecraft/ Cthulu Mythos RPG or if you've noticed any fans amongst participants?

Aside from the basic Cthulu Mythos undercurrent that runs through gaming hobbies in general, I haven't noticed anything that stands out.  I'm sure there are plenty of Lovecraft fans among our attendees, but I am not aware of any content that is targeted specifically at them (awesome as it is, I can't really count Munchkin Cthulu)... unless you are offering to run a CoC adventure?

Thanks for the thought, but no, I'm not. I run 2 rooms already (Creation Station)! Plus, I've never personally played.
However, the Lovecraft film to which I alluded, might be shown Friday night before the con, if we get everything done in time! Watch for a sign (<grin>) outside the viewing rooms on con-Friday...It's called "Pickman's Muse" and is a fanwork adapted from HPL's "Haunter of the Dark" and "Pickman's Model".
