Also, this Oftenly Renamed Panel sounds a lot different from the RP when you discuss it with its creator(s) which I have done on a few car rides.
So its kind of an invalid comparison.

This panel should be changed to "Panel with so much spam you'd think it was the forum meet up"ohh i see what you did there but only the people in the panel are spaming
The topic is the panel though, that's why the thread is here. Topic creep is what creates spam posts, we have the off topic forum specifically for discussions that flow to different topics and mod tools to split the convesations off into new threads so the old ones remain intact.2 things.
Mods just don't do that anymore if the threads aren't in one of the "important sections".

I know that the panel is about nothing in particular. However this forum was designed so that people could plan their panels and discuss what would go on AT them. There are other forums for discussing the same topics as are covered at panels. For instance, the Pocky Club Presents panel. If someone wanted to come on the forums and talk about the newest Pocky flavors, they should create a new thread in general discussion or maybe the chat forum depending on how silly they're going to be. They shouldn't post that stuff in the Pocky Club Presents thread because that thread, while related to Pocky, is about the event itself, the panel at the convention. We don't use the thread for Randomness of the Internet to talk about memes and videos that we've seen now, just ones we saw at the panel.
If i was a mod I would have split the topic by now, including this discussion. The current mods don't do that because the LAST generation of mods got booted because too many whiny spammers complained to the admins about them. This gen of mods are too soft, they weren't in the war. I seen things man.
