Title: July 15th waterfront meetup~!
Post by: asaxchan on July 05, 2009, 12:05:11 am: What: An informal cosplay/not cosplay/whatever-as-long-as-you-wear-clothes meetup!
When: July 15th, from noon until .. whenever people want to leave
Who: All of you!
Where: The Portland waterfront, near the Salmon Street fountain.
Why: Why not?

This is a good opportunity for those of you who want to have photoshoots, as we will have multiple people there with really excellent cameras (myself included -- Nikon D-freakin-60, baby~). You don't have to RSVP or anything, but please just drop me a comment so I can get a general idea of how many people want to come (in case I decide to be adventurous and bake or something).

Mmmmidk yet! It depends on which of my cosplays I can get done by that time. I'm still waiting on a wig for Gokudera, and I haven't styled my Lockon wig yet .. and several of my cosplays are incomplete xD; So it's looking like I might be going as Lavi, either first-generation or street style. WHO KNOWS~? Maybe it'll be a surprise.

I am going to try very very hard to save Kuja for the con and not show anyone else it (only a few friends :P) But maybe Cloud. Though i was planing on wearing that to the Shinra picnic......so I am leaning more twords Larxene XD Plus I have some pictures in my mind that I want to do.

Wait......I just realized that I don't know if I have that day off or not....but I am usually off on Wednesdays. I think she thinks I can't work at all but it is only at night I can't work :P

But the blonde wig would be good for Hayner, and we already have the Roxas wig. Plus we pretty much have everything we need for Hayner. XD

I went to Sakuracon as Future Trunks and saw someone with a better one. The only thing I had better than him was a fully detailed Capsule Corp. patch.

I recommend not waiting.
K-con is the northwest conclave of cosplay.
While these meetups are the smaller events that you can come in cosplay and hang out at. Pictures are taken of people both in and not in cosplay. To me these are opportunities to test fire cosplays and learn ideas and suggestions from others.

Lesson 1: take only one cosplay. Whatever you take with you, you will lug through pouring rain and blazing sun all day long, and it takes you longer to get ready to move to another area.

Lesson 2: carry a cell phone with you! It helps when you're lost and you have a way to call one of the people and find them again.
