Title: Kumoricon Hours
Post by: mitsuki on June 01, 2009, 10:28:48 pm
What are the hours of the Kumoricon? What about for staff members?

Hours where any events are running (these have been the same for the last few years):

Saturday: 8:00am to 2:00am
Sunday: 8:00am to 2:00am
Monday: 8:00am to 5:00pm

At some point Kumoricon may become a 24-hour con but nothing has been changed from these hours yet.

Staff hours depend entirely on your position. Some positions have shifts (either during attendee hours, or during setup or teardown the day before or after), and others have you responsible for a certain area which may mean you could be called at any time to need to do something. A very few positions may even have you doing something during night hours when no attendee events are running. Such a position may or may not also have specific shifts. Some staff positions require responsibility for something outside the convention.

I'm sure they will, they always have had both dances. Or at least they have at the ones I went to.

The yojimbo wake up early to manage the lines and we go to bed pate (around 2am)

Some work the night shift, some the day shift and some swing shift. We always try to make sure all yojimbo get plenty of time to rest and have fun as well, tho it is based on their numbers at the convention as well as coverage

Isn't there also a curfew for minors? I know there is but I don't know the hours.

Curfew for minors (all people age 17 and under) starts at 12midnight, except for the dances for which the curfew is 1am. For all other events it is midnight.

I thought it might be a good idea to include those times with the others. I'm sure people will ask you several times.
