Is everyone going to bring some kind of food or beverage to this? I would be able to bring a blanket and some food item to this as well. I also have a sake set that could be used as a tea set I suppose? I just use it to drink chocolate milk so it might be nice to bust it out for something else.

Ok, so it's kinda tricky~
There are certain kinds of contact liquid that works for your eyes. The first time I was prescribed with some, it made my eyes red and kind of stung, but it went away after a few minutes because of constant blinking makes so the only liquid in your eyes is your own. I'd say most of the liquid is really safe, just sometimes uncomfortable. :D
The other is a container for contacts, like

Depending on your purchase, you might get these along with your order. Also, you MUST have one of these, no matter what, and make sure it's full of contact solution (liquid) and screwed on shut afterwards. I've had my contacts dry up on me, OH NO. xD AND THEY GET ALL CRUSTY AND UNWEARABLE.

Nah, it's to keep the contacts moist, and that's it. You can get eye drops in case your eyes get dry, but mine didn't, so I'm guessing it depends on the person~
And you can leave them in the container as long you want, but remember to clean the container and change the liquid. I really don't know how long colored contacts last~

I bought the fabric for my skirt and bonnet today! I'm so nervous, this is my first time sewing by myself. I think I'll start with the bonnet since that doesn't use the machine.
For the seating, I've never been to a cosplay meetup before (only lolita ones), but what I've seen/done is everyone sort of stays together, but talks in smaller groups while walking/eating. I'm really excited to meet everyone; I didn't get to make any new friends at Kumoricon because I only went for a day.

Update on Jacket: The collar's finished, we're working on the shoulders right now. We were gonna get progress pics but his mom took the camera with her. With the shoulders done [not there yet] there's still the matter of the sleeves, which we have to make longer, after we lengthen the sleeves, we'll have to find gold ribbon for the sleeves trimming, I was thinking of not putting in the design since I can't find a decent enough pic of the sleeves.

Yeah, I would check to see where the wig is shipping from and what kind of shipping it went out in. Most cosplay accessories on eBay ship from Hong Kong and with standard Hong Kong international shipping, which can take a VERY long time, especially if it gets caught up in customs.

Most of the wigs I've ordered in the past have been from Hong Kong. Maybe I'm just mega lucky but they really only took a week or two to get here. Like I said, I'm just hoping it'll get here in time. I never garunteed it. Just hoped.

It's not really crazy, I think only five people have dropped out in the past few days. We still have over the original number of people going.

Marilyn, Morgan, and I had an adventure of riding the MAX to Beaverton then Washington Square and walking around the mall XD This 12-year-old skater kid tried to make fun of us to show off to his girlfriend and we sort of laughed at them. AN ADVENTURE, I TELL YOU.
I loved meeting everyone, it was so awesome! Morgan will put up her pictures shortly, and I'll post them here when she does.

I had an idea for another meet, actually!
Does anyone here know about Wunderland nickel arcade in Beaverton? It's one of the greatest places ever, and it's super cheap and fun. They have a ton of the arcade games you see everywhere else, but they're only nickels to play. It's also down the street from Uwajimaya, which is about a 15 minute walk and 3 minute bus ride.
I was thinking that we could meet at Uwajimaya, maybe in Kinokuniya, and get lunch and wait for everyone, then head over to Wunderland.
For dress code, maybe casual cosplay? Like your character on their day off or something.
