Do we have a thread for the next game yet?
Found this clip of the english voice acting the other day. I hadn't seen much of the game so I was mostly just looking at the graphics.

Wow, I haven't seen this yet! I can't wait for it to come out, especially Versus XIII~
I've seen some ads for voice actors to do fandubs of this game, but I wasn't sure what type of characters I should try out for... Now that I've seen this, I have a better idea of the kind of voices I should use, thanks!

Well, I knew the game was graphically intense.. but I haven't kept up on it much since I knew it was a ways off.
But after learning it'll be released in a matter of 4-6 months.. and after watching that trailer.. I am pretty fully stoked.. and confident that it'll be FFXIII that will break my PS3(and I will have a funeral for my 60GB model PS3 before getting the extended warranty on it claimed).
And I'm looking forward to Agito as well.. but I doubt I'll be able to get into it until I beat atleast XIII, and if I like it enough, probably Versus.. then Agito. XD

LOL, XBOX360 version is 2 discs. (I would know because my friend hacked it. He said it was 2 discs that were both 8 gigs. 16 gigs man!)
Oh, dont worry, IT WILL HAVE TO RUN ON YOUR PS3! You can still point out specs during gameplay. (although it's hard when your running it on 1080p mode)
Although the CG cutscenes practicly look real. But if a DS and PSP can handle CG cutscenes then so can a PS3!
(I JUST GOT A PS3 AND IT IS BOMB)

oh ya, I know it will work on the ps3 with no problem, it's just still a little sad that another sony only title has gone to microsoft as well, it just feels like a lot of companies don't trust sony, even tho the system is really good... I still can't wait for the game, because the controls are supposed to be that of Kingdom Hearts.

well, if it's similar, than I guess I was only partially wrong... But I think that will make the game good... Because the controls for 12 just sucked, but at least the controls for Kingdom Hearts are great, so I can at least get along with these controls.

In that way, it's different. Anyone knows where I can get the PS3 demo? All I know is that you can get the demo off FF VII AD COMPLETE BlueRay.

First of all, I have two external 1TB harddrives. If the blu-ray drive in my PS3 dies, I can make a full-HDD backup.
Second, why would I want to keep it, when, due to the OOP nature of this model, I'd simply get a check from Best Buy(due to their extended warranty) for the original $500 I paid for it, then buy a slim(with twice the HDD space of the 60GB) and have $200 for.. more games. lol
Third, my current PS3 has a 250GB HDD I installed around the time CompUSA was going out of business.. so of course I'll keep THAT harddrive. lol

Ok the two disces thing was for the ps3. sony was saying the game may be that big (for those who dont know a blu-ray disc is about 100 gb)
they are cutting about half the game out for the 360 which pissed me off but then again i really dont want to play a 12 to 15 disc game.

Can't wait for it to come out =D I'm thinking of cosplaying snow from it, though I think I'd be some sort of chibi-snow which some people may find cute but others be saying "****...snow musta been using stilts or something". I already think my favorite character would be fang, so I just gotta hope people cosplay her so I can get a picture of some awesome cosplays =D. Versus I'm definitely considering doing Noctis, though I don't have enough detail to get a costume made for me in good enough detail. XIII versus excites me the most because of the staff they have doing it, it seems like everyone that did parts for FF/KH games that did well in that aspect, is doing that same job for versus. watch the whole thing, including ending, it's a little different with some stuff I haven't seen in most of the trialers (though this was about 3 months ago I found this and favorited it).

You had to pre-order and pick up the special edition console through GameStop in order to get the Faceplate. It was pretty limited, they only had enough for the first few people that pre-ordered it.

toys r us had a pretty good deal, buy the game and get a 13$ gift card free and 20$ off another game (other game had to be 40$ or more)
but the 13$ gift card will come in handy my friends daughters birthday is next month

G/F picked up her copy after work from Fred-Meyer yesterday but I haven't had time to play it yet & probably won't until the weekend, if not later. She doesn't have to work so she is gonna start playing it today :(

I dislike the combat system. Would be nice if the AI did something USEFUL. They keep doing dumb BS and I keep yelling at them xD

Things like that. Love the story, love the world, love the char dev system. Combat....coulda been better...Maybe be able to customize priorities of roles for chars? (Like the Gambit system from XII) or better yet, not focus on super fast-pace battles and let me control em all T_T

Poor guy, AI always does exactly what I want. You must have received the short end of the stick. My only beef is unlike in persona 4, the AI doesn't recognize the significance of if the leader dies. They usually gather together around the leader in a defensive form, when the reason I'm hurting so bad is because the enemy is attacking multiple party members. Make the AI recognize the significance of the leader and we got a solid system. I do miss controlling all people though. As for everything about this game, it's fantastic, I got nothing notably bad to say about it. This is easily going to rank among my favorite FF's, though I'm not seeing it as my favorite.

Final Verdict: Great story, great characters, great character development system (The Crystarium is well designed), the world is amazing! Combat...sucks giant balls. It's super easy and runs itself. And it doesn't even run itself efficiently. The AI are retarded, all you do is hit Auto-Combat and shift paradigms once in a while. You can literally throw 2 on medics and 1 on commando/ravager, walk away, and you will still win. I've actually done this. I was fighting some armor lizard thing, so I went and made a sandwich occasionally hitting "X" and came back and the fight had been won. So, I did it on a boss fight too. Still got 5 stars. Simple game is simple. That aside, it feels like Xenosaga II with better voice acting. But Xenosaga continues to be my favorite game series ever. Good game, crappy combat.
@Narunik: Difference is they compressed everything so it's lower quality, also it runs slower and they took out some bonus content.

I assume you mean removed content as in the extra content sony can fit onto a bluray disc as opposed to xbox's multiple discs

Although I do prefer PS3 over my 360 when I buy games...I am sure that this is still an epic & awsome experience for both consoles. Enjoy!
