I use trillian.  so I online with both aim and msn.

@Miria
aren't there websites that let you log on thru a browser?  I dun know if they still work on your slow speed though sorry ^_^*

They work; it would just be easier to use one client- MSN likes to kick me off.

I had YIM for a while but I had some bad experiences with a person so I haven't gone back >_>

The first one I used was AIM. I had a really good friend on there when I was obsessed with Harry Potter. o.o >< Then that computer died and a year later I am like "...Well, damn." ...But, I use MSN now. 8D

sometimes I get this requests/msg on msn or aim from some random screenname and I'm left wondering, Who is this?

Yes, for example, www.meebo.com. It uses the libpurple library (the same library that Pidgin uses).

ICQ was my first, but then it got bought up by AIM and they turned it into another AIM, it makes me sad.

Does anyone remember POWWOW?  That was fun, I like the voice fonts
