We have been talking on the get in shape topic and have decided to meet up Sunday November 2nd for a little work out routine. It will be 1 pm and the place is still up for discussion. I think somewhere with a park is the best idea so we could go for a run and use the surroundings to our advantage.
I will also try to give you a work out routine that you could do every day just with things in your house to help you get in shape for the cons. So if you have a costume that reveals a lot of skin (like I do) or you have a difficult pose you want to do that requires a lot of muscle to hold for a long time, or you just want to get in shape come join us for ALBEL'S BOOT CAMP XD

woo HOO! I'm excited for it. also a good thing to have at the park would be like a path or a walk way to run/walk on.
I was thinking if we do it for more then an hour, because I don't think anyone wants to just full on work out for too long I can bring some yummy granola bar's(in some different varieties) so we have a nice snack to keep us going.

I guess no more than an hour would be ok. Just keep in mind in order to lose weight you have to work out for 60 to 90 minutes MOST days. That and eat a healthy diet.

yeah a healthy diet is important. for some that's all they really need to change in order to change their health drastically. I know the maximum is 90 minutes. 60 min 3 times a week is what everyone should be doing. I'm just wondering if I should bring them considering some people might need some more energy, are diabetic or they get hungry. :)

I hate to say this but it looks like I have a lot of stuff to do on Sunday and with the lack of interest we may have to move this to another time. Maybe around spring when it gets warmer or even in winter break when more people have time off (of school that is).

and some wouldn't like wearing shorts and what not. yeah I would've really liked to do this but I guess it seems we do have little people.

defiantly during summer. that would be a good time. probably after the holidays. the end of the year is always so busy for most people. and cold too. :/

I may... though sidelines would be for me. I am 5'4 1/2" and 110-115 lbs... skinny enough, thank you. *blame it on lack of fat and protein from a mom who won't help me be a vegetarian; most if not all my fat and protein comes from lunch at school >.>*

I have more muscle then half the guys in my wing.....maybe more than half. >_> Then again that isn't saying much seeing how it is the engineering building XD

Yes, but this guys are RIDICULOUS. They're not even the insanely big kind. Like the attractive kind you find on strangly buff lanky/tall people. (Not like a footballer... que the Ed reference again. XD. 'cept he's not tall. Ed: WHO'RE YOU CALLIN' A PINT-SIZED MIDGET?! Ahem... moving on >.>)
Then again, he is a third degree black blet or something like that in Tae Kwon Do.
Anyway... what do you think you'll do at this boot camp thingy?

I think we were talking about some time in the spring or summer. It was going to be the 2nd (after kcon lite) but I am too busy x.x

Maybe sence it looks like the idea droped becuase people are to lazy to get up and move or just to busy o.x we could randomly work out sometime durring summer maybe 3 or less times a week o.e

its because I was too busy, I am not lazy at all. I go to the gym for an hour after I play soccer in the same day x.x

Yush we should scedual maybe a whole month of work out sessions maybe a month or 2 before kcon enless people procrastinated a little to much and didnt start there costumes -.-

yeah that would be nice....but the issue I see is work for me. Though I am going to try to get an internship so the hours might be more set in stone....though I may have to work two jobs =/

The internship wont pay, but k-mart does and they never keep a constant schedule it's more of when they need me. So I may work morning one day and night the next.

yeah. I'm not too worried, maybe I can tell them that a certain time every week (say saturday from noon to 2 I am busy or something)

In the summer it wouldn't be too much of a problem but I think it would be in the winter, due to Christmas and what not. Stores are always busy around the holidays.

man I was exhausted Sunday. I'm kind of glad we didn't do the work out thing. but I will be ready for it next time....hopefully it's not on a day I need to clean/pack/build.

Yeah I had two people at my house and I didn't want to put them through that plus we had to get back to school that day.

make it the same weekend as the sewing thing 22/23 some one choose a day for one and the other day for the other

For this boot camp what kind of exercise do we want to do? I figure we will jog for about 30 minutes then do weight training type stuff after we're done.

at the park, by weights I meant like squats and lunges and other stuff you can do without weights....it would just be muscle building exercises

squats are so evil. when we get better at the whole exercise in a group thing we could actually form a meeting place with equipment and what not.

Well a lot of people don't have access to that kind of equipment so it would be a better idea to learn how to do stuff without anything but your body.

well I mean with each meet up we get a chance to meet at that place and use equipment but when we don't meet up we just work with what we have.

well a lot of gyms charge to use anything and I bet the majority of people wont have the money to use any of that. So for my meet ups I am going to show people what they can go on their own.
Also if people do have memberships to gyms it doesn't mean that they have a membership to the SAME gym.
