if i have a prop i will show it off, also it depends if some one wants to take a picture of me or with me, of me i tend to just do the mario smile and flash a peace sign
This was actually something I had some trouble with. The FMP character I portrayed is wearing a military uniform. For him a pose is standing at attention. :) I felt it was better to look like I was caught just moving around than standing at attention. I made an effort to not look at the camera. (also cut down on red eye) and to have the patch on my uniform show. I also would remove con badges, etc. if asked. I suppose the only thing with poses is, if you are doing a well known pose, eg: Sailor Moon, then make sure you do it right. Try to be in character. But most important, HAVE FUN | (https://www.kumoricon.org/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fupload.wikimedia.org%2Fwikipedia%2Fen%2Fthumb%2Ff%2Ffc%2FSailor_Moon_%281st_uniform%29.png%2F180px-Sailor_Moon_%281st_uniform%29.png&hash=3c202f61e8af31aa0095b5bd9b884f97413d1261) |

The hardest thing for me was knowing how I looked in my mind. I took a lot of pictures that gave me multiple chins and now I am very conscious about what my neck looks like. I always make sure that my neck is stretched out. Also if I have a noticeable characteristic that I think I did well then I show it off. Like with Temari I loved the way my hair looked so I often took pictures from the side or at a slight angle. I also tried to have my fan out most of the time.I know how you feel about that. I tried to make myself as slim looking as possible or not do a bad expression. things I noticed I did was not have enough emotion in my face. :/
I like having groups of cosplayers from the same thing, it just seems to get people's attention better.yeah because then they wonder 'what the hell is going on?'ha ha ^_^ personally though if you have no idea how to pose it's always nice to have someone to give you a quick little thing to do so you don't look stumped.
Unfortunately, I couldn't ask her if it was OK to take a picture or not. Was asked not to, because I didn't have her permission.
Also got a kick out of the Macys pics of the Sand Village ninja posing with the manequins. Those were just priceless.
