I saw this on The Feed the other day, and yeah, I'm pumped to find out about it, too. I hope it's not going to be a disappointment, cause that would be awesome if it were real.

I wish it would be real but the pictures look too much like a costume....
-
Well it's been on some pretty trustworthy news lately, so people have yet to think it's a hoax, but I guess we'll find out in about 12 hours!
-
Yeah I guess so. I think it would be really cool if it were true. I hope it is.....but I don't like it when people try to trick me >_<
-
I want this to be true so badly! But at the same time I'm jealous of Georgia for taking the bigfooted glory. *shakes fist* Georgia!
-
stupid Georgia. woooo 11 hours cant wait
-
They never specify; is it Georgia, the country, or Georgia, the State?
The skepticism is strongly reasoned - Georgia is an odd place for the body of a large animal to be found for the first time in history. Most of the large hard-to-believe-in mammals known or believed to exist or have existed have been traced to areas that are more remote, such as Alaska, the central United States, northern Canada, far east Russia, large mountain ranges, inland Mexico, rainforests, and the ocean.
I'm not saying this is fake absolutely - there are many reports of mammals that walk upright and have properties fitting within the primate and pilosa orders in the Western Hemisphere, but most of the factual large upright land mammals in the Americas have been extinct much longer than humans have been present here.
I did a little big of looking around, and this[/img] may be relevant if it's the Republic of Georgia and not Georgia, USA. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_georgicus)

That is certainly intriguing and I would love it if it were true. The picture is semi-convincing, but theo ne area of the carcass that has me skeptical is the eyes. They look so inconsistent with the rest of the face. Maybe it is real, I don't know, but those eyes looks like eye holes with a much paler/human face beneath it. That may not be the case, but it is really hard for me to see that as anything but a mask with that flesh inconsistency.
But yes, it'd be amazing if this were some real find.

It's Georgia the state.

Actually, it's said to have been found in Northern Georgia state, which is mountainous. Not really so odd.
I would expect if we are going to find anything strange and unusual in the United States, it would be in a forested mountainous area.

It's Georgia the state.
yup. although there are reports of Yeti in the Himalayas, suppose to be like relatives to the Sasquatch.

-
well guys for now its dubbed a scam *sigh* stupid people not showing the body ; _ ;
-
Ah, that's not surprising. There have been so many hoaxes now, I imagine it would at least take quite a while for any scientists to admit something is just straight up newly discovered or real.
-
ya.... apparently they didnt want to show the body cuz they want to "protect the species" or something like that
-
I'm more interested in the Chupacabra - aka Goat Sucker:

They say it's a pitbull, but really. There have been a number of them found and they all look so much alike. Some scientists think they're dogs, some think their coyotes, etc. etc.
Plus, there is a Troma B-movie about them!
