Title: Video camera issues... Halp plz?
Post by: LtCommanderRichie on May 22, 2008, 05:39:56 pm
So here's the shtick! My video camera, Cid, is being a bitka. And the problem is, that I can't figure out a way to download anything from Cid to Lappy, my laptop. The cord I'm using has the same number of pegs or whatever as the port I need to put it into, but whenever I plug it in I can't download all my video from Sakuracon.
(https://www.kumoricon.org/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv359%2Fstaticgirl%2FWebCam_20080522_17321.jpg&hash=16fe6d7bfb66e035951f31e7f7fe989eb1f0001a)

Anyone wanna give any insight? The cord isn't the problem, I use it to transfer files to and from my calculator, and to and from my PSP. The picture is included so that someone with a bit more know-how than me can tell me just what the hell it is I'm doing wrong.

... I got the USB cord with my calculator. Could the problem be that it's not a camera cord?

I had a similar problem with my video camera.. turns out one of the pins on the firewire cable had broken off. Maybe take a close look?

Laptop?  Check for digital media ports!  If your laptop can read your memory card directly, you can forget cables and live a long and enjoyable life.

Oldvideocameraisold, though. Like, 2002. Nothing saves onto a memory card, it all writes onto little DVC cassettes. Believe me, if it saved onto a memory card then I would be a very happy Richie-chan.

Speaking of Camera issues....I have a M883 Kodak Easyshare....But when I try to upload videos, they won't go onto Windows Movie Maker for editing/music....Pictures work just fine, but not videos...
