I had an idea, we should get everyone who wants to pose for yaoi and yuri pics to meet up somewhere during the con. It'd be awesome. Like a yaoi fest. : D

We tried to set up a yaoi photo shoot last year, but most people said that it just happens at all the photo shoots if people ask for it, which is true. Not to shoot it down or anything! I still think it would be fun! ^^ It does complicate things with scheduling, though, like if people want to be there, but won't be in the cosplay they want to be in for the shoot that day etc etc. Actually, I think a better thing to organize would be to have someone at each photo shoot who is there specifically to ask for yaoi/yuri pics! XD Even if we do a specific yaoi/yuri meet up, we should still make a "yaoi brigade" or something! XD;;

Yeah, we could do that, or just have a certain place picked out where we'll hang out whenever we aren't doing something esle where we can just have people there to do fan service. :P

I say this is a great idea. I am a total Yaoi fangirl, and even though I expect I will be able to get some cool Yaoi shots at the KH photoshoot, I'd like to see some cross-over Yaoi and partake in the fun-ness of watching Yaoi from other series.

I have nothing really planned except for Slightly Anime Dating Game, Cosplay Contest, AMV Contest, and KH photoshoot. Any other times would be rad =)

I posted this in the Kingdom Hearts thread here and totally spaced the idea of putting it here, too....
So on the Sakuracon forum, the Kingdom Hearts thread suggested doing a pajama party. Me and my Sora decided to do Yaoi! pajama Sora + Roxas. So, I think it'd be SUPER fun to do a Yaoi/Yuri Pajama Party!! ^.^ I know some characters have official pajamas, such as Roxas, but it could also be fun to just do a pajama cosplay of what you think the character would wear. Heck, I even saw a Crack! Zexion pajama cosplay once where he was wearing a pink bunny footie-style pajama costume XD
Anywho, yeah. The idea would be to meet preferably in the evening, or whenever everyone feels comfortable doing it.
I think it'd be lots of fun ^_^ I'd step up to organize this if need be, like keeping track of what times are good for people or something.

The only problem that I can possibly foresee with a yaoi/yuri pj party is the whole under-aged thing. Not that we'll actually do anything, just like in the photo shoots, but I can definitely see people worrying about that. Not to rain on your parade or anything! Just something to think about. ^^;
I think if we did it somewhere where it was more public it wouldn't be as much of a problem. Like if we made it an actual event. I know they have pj parties at the con, but they're mostly after the 17 and under curfew at 11pm. Maybe we could organize a 17-and-under pj party before curfew or something. ^^

When anime started to get really popular more and more parents started bringing theyre small children.
Once they saw that the majority if anime is really not 'child friendly" they got all offended and rather than saying 'oh this is not for me' They threw tantrums and demand Sakura con MAKE it for them.
For some reason SC decided to placate the parents. Now we have a 'family friendly' "anime convention"
SC is the only convention that puts such a huge emphasis on family friendly.
Its likely this happened due to WA states heavy ' Father knows best' policies but Oregon isnt too far away. I worry that the same parents will try to take it over too.
All they need is to hear are the words 'All ages" and "yaoi/yuri party", maybe even just 'party' and its all over.

Talk with the Director of Programming. He might have some idea. I've had some conversations with him about the dance contest I'm thinking of holding. He's really helpfull!

"She" thinks this is fine idea.. we've had slumber party type events before with the Sailor Moon slumber party. If you are interested in making this an official event, come up with some guidelines for it, fill out a panel/event form and send it to me at programming@kumoricon.org.
We are also a family-friendly convention, but I firmly believe you can have "yaoi" and "yuri" and still be so. And considering that you are looking at pre-curfew for under 18's, I think the strongest you're looking at is shounen-ai and shoujo-ai... but we can work something out ;)

If there are no other volunteers, I can try to head up sending this to the "powers that be".
I think that I would prefer it be 18+ since I'm 20, will be 21, by the con. I am not saying I'd try to put the moves on anyone (I have a boyfriend), but I would especially not want to be suspected of being some.. creepy person that likes under-agers. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I think I like the idea of if it is an event open to under-agers, it'd be Shounen-ai, Shoujo-ai. ^_^
SO, now that's out of the way, any ideas for games or stuff we could do? I suggest maybe general silliness and taking pictures (Cross-series pillow fights? XD), and maybe some type of cute games, like duck-duck-goose or the pocky game (Not sure how appropriate this would be?)

Hah, I like the idea of Truth or Dare, I'm just not sure if that would get out of hand and people would disapprove... Maybe state before we play the game to keep the truth's/dare's PG-13 (IE: Can't dare so-and-so to kiss so-and-so unless it's like, on the cheek. No showing inappropriate body parts, ahem ahem XD)
Also, I kinda agree with TheifsKingHier. I think the idea I like best is starting this as all ages, then when it gets later make it 18+ that way everyone is happy =D
Oh yeah, Sugarlat, if you want to do some research (or I might, your post intrigued me :P) and post the rules for the game here, that'd be super cool! =)

I agree with nearly everyone above. XD I do think that, after the main 'party' or what not, the 18+ people should be able to go and have their own kind of thing together without parents whining about their kids being out too late. (I'm a minor, btw, so I'm not complaining, just merely stating)

It's not really that hard. You just walk around in a circle around one person and sing the song. After it's done the person in the middle guess's who it is and if there right they switch. [My Version]

OH! I know of a GREAT Japanese game that even has a freaking AWESOME movie made after it. It's technically like Japanese tag/hide-and-go-seek, but you have to wear masks.
There are four or five taggers, all wearing different Japanese demon masks, and one main god, wearing the fox god demon's mask. The people who are able to get tagged wear fox masks. Whoever wins the game, the last one standing, gets to be the fox demon god. =o

My only concern is that if we decide to have this be an actual event, we'd either need a really big room for a game of tag, or move outside or something, which could result in people going "WTF where'd the PJ party go?!". If we do hold it outside, I'm not sure if K-Con would list it as an actual event. XD I like the idea of it, I'm just stating the possibilities for problems could could arise.

I think just having a room of any size would be fine. Cuz even if people think it's an awesome idea, that doesn't mean all of them will be able to show up, especially since a lot of cool stuff happens at night. If it does end up being really crowded, then we'll know if we ever do it again to get a bigger room! ^^ Or we could maybe set it up in the same room as the yaoi/yuri activities that take place after curfew. The problem with this is if they need to set something up before hand etc etc, but it would make a bit more sense, I think. But I honestly don't know if that would work at all, as I don't know what all goes on after curfew. XP

I'm trying to plan this as an actual event, I've just been crazy busy with Sakuracon planning n stuff. You fill out a Panel form thing, it's in PDF format though so I can't copy/paste the sections, so that I can get your guys advice/opinions before I submit it. You submit it to an email or through the mail, haven't gotten that far yet. But yes, it is in the planning stages!

It is a Sat, Sun, Mon con. XD;; S'fine, I always get that mixed up too. I'd prefer it on the first day just cuz everything seems to happen on the second, and the third obviously doesn't go late enough. : P
A couple things on the forms: I'm not positive, but I think under Department you should put Event and under Event/Panel you should put the name. Not sure though. But it seems strange that there's no place for the name. >.o Also, I think you should put the rave under the list of events it can't be the same time as, cuz I think most of us are planning to go to that, and I know I would choose it over the sleepover if they happened at the same time. ^^;

Does anyone know if they do the "rave" dance both nights? Cuz I was looking at last year's schedule, and I know the masquerade is only one night, and it had regular dances both nights. If that's the case, it may not matter as much what night the sleepover is if we can go to the dance both nights. ^^

The current plan (subject to change, of course :)) is to have a "rave"-like dance one night, and the masquerade followed by a "rave"-like dance another night.
As for the sleepover part of your plans, please keep in mind that the con closes at 2am, and that includes panel rooms. If you are planning to make this event a panel and having it in one of the panel rooms, you will need to be out of that room at 2am (you can always move to a private room). Unless the plan is to have it in someone's room anyway, in which case, nevermind. :D

Yes. right now it's a light brown with blond highlights, by the time the con comes around it will be blond. I just didn't want to go too light in one trip, however my hair handled the bleach very well.

It really sucks that you can't do a lot of things.
But the REASON the rules are so strict, is because everyone is so protective of minors.
All though I am a STRONG advocate for letting people learn from they're own mistakes, the majority of parents do not, and when they feel they're kid is in danger or simply sees something they're parents don't want them to, ( No matter HOW ridiculous) they complain and more and more restrictions are put in place.
As far as me 'not caring cuz I'm not going to be there" I would LIKE to attend, but If I do I'll be held responsible when something goes wrong.

I don't see how you would be held responsible. Just because you are over 18 doesn't me yo are WATCHING the minors. If a parent isn't present or their parent allows them to do this stuff you WILL NOT be blamed. Thats just the way it is. Unless you are held responsible for a minor during that event you can't possibly be blamed.....I guess you could be if you are the drunk one causing the commotion.

You might be able to take a picture with handcuffs on then take them off but you wouldn't be able to wear them walking around. Not only could you hurt yourself but you could close line others x.x

Alright, so question. Handcuffs not allowed, but what about Manacles? I mean as long as the fuzzy black leather manacles aren't connected, they are allowed right? Because, for part of my Iruka-Sensei Cosplay, for at least the later afternoon, I wear fuzzy black manacles. I have a collar as well that goes with it, and it has a metal ring. As long as the collar and manacles are not connected, and the leash with them... It should be alright, correct? The only time the manacles and collar would be connected, is when I use the leash for Posing with Kakashi...

At Kcon it had to be outside. We were upstairs but we were too loud, and it was too dangerous.... too small and such.. but they can't get you in trouble outside, the con is inside so if you want to wear handcuffs you gotta be outside.

Not to brag or anything, but while I'm sure I've made everyone think I'm a total prude, the games outside at SC was my doing.
SAS tried to tell everyone that games weren't allowed because of the Con centers ' no running' 'no throwing' to touching' rules.
I pointed out that Freeway park does not abide by the con centers ruels becuase it's public property.. They tried to argue, but I proved them wrong.
That reminds me, you guys just have to be smart about the rules, know thine enemies, you know?
If you were to..I don't know look up the rules for the park near the con cneter or hotel, you may find that you can do a lot more there..but I didn't tell you that.

It may be a good idea to start out at the con then move somewhere else if you are planning on going longer than the con is open. That way it can draw more people in and the event will be on the schedule. You don't have to tell the others that you are moving somewhere else.

anime tends to use stereotypical characters over and over and over from what I seen. so which is likely why you ladies have a hard time finding a girl you like. Most the guys I see are either too macho and stupid or just plain wimpy and weak willed.

it was in a online chatroom that also used for role play. I typically did female characters and seem to do well enough to earn that comment from one of the girls in there.
reminds me of when I was playing FFXI as a mithra.....everyone considered me a girl. even the few people that knew my true gender as a guy.............and had an event similar to sekitan in that I actually pretended to be a gf to someone and had someone admitted feelings for me.

I thought that cosplay was a decent one. while I did the wig myself, the actual cosplay was made by my mother. after that, all cosplay are either commissions or made by me.

I do have a 1/2 done Himeko cosplay from kannazuki no miko(a yuri anime). I dun plan on finishing it however as it really loses its appeal without a Chikane. I think my cosplay plans are after stuffed as it is.

I dun believe Temari in a yuri pairing is that popular. Most same sex pairings for Naruto is usually Sasuke and Naruto. Maybe a Gaara. ......I like to see more haku/ and isn't zabuza...that just seems wrong to me. As for yuri, I think sakura/ino is kinda common.......I've seen one female naruto hinata...or it hinted at that anyway.

Something I just remember is the series my avatar is from, Ar Tonelico 2, did have a yuri ish pictures. There isn't any acutally yuri in the game, but the some of the pictures of her and the other heroine seem like yuri fan service. However, its not something I'll wear til next year at earliest due to how complex it is.

one thing I like about the series is the two heroines is they have various cosplay like outfits you can have them wear. For those two, there is a wedding dress(blonde is western style while black haired is japanese wedding kimono), one has a witch, schoolgirls, and various others.

bascially, I had asked about the yaoi/yuri that consists of gender swapped characters. kashimashi if you will. I had asked what people thought of gender swapped kyon and itsuki. an alternate universe that has taken a life of its own often has fem itsuki lusting after fem kyon(who isn't interested).

I think a room at the event would be a good idea. I would love to stay the night but I know I am going to be driving people home and I am not sure if people are going to be staying at my house or not yet so I wont be able to stay the night.

This may be just a guess on my part but it if has something to do with yaoi or yuri it may be an 18+ event if you try to clear it with the convention. You may want to keep that in mind see how the majority of the people in this discussion are under age.

Good. Last year we waited in line to make mask for the masquerade ball and by the time we were done everyone was in line for the cosplay contest and we didn't get to go in v.v. I really love watching the chess though....also seeing how I am going to try to be in it as well : D.

Thats good. I ran out of glue for one glue gun and I started to use another one that got really hot. I am glad that O glued most of the pieces to the glove already. The last few peices were really hot when I was gluing them on. I got a little glue on one of the claws and I stupidly whiped it off with my bare finger x.x

We talked about making a PG-13 event, and then after curfew for minors turning it into 18+. We just didn't have anyone 18+ who wanted to do it. : P

Not really. After all you did want to do things that are 18+ Your only doing 13+ and up because you have to. Of coarse now that's it's an official event I guess someone will have to be watching and it will be safe for adults to go without taking the rap for anything illegal.
What's wrong with an 18+ event? You can still go to your 13+up event. An 18+ wouldn't be until after midnight. Nothing else to do at that time.
At Fanime they had 18+ Yaoi bingo" it was pretty damned popular but too many of the squealy-type fangirls.

Eventually word would get out and the convention will have to secure more BS rules and no one will have any fun. That is why SC is the way it is.

Oh wow, this kind of blew up. XD;; Anyway, in my opinion, I still think there should be two events. We (as in me and the other 17 and under attendees) will do the 13+ one and anyone 18+ who wants to do the 18+ one, can. The two groups don't even have to have anything to do with each other if we don't seem to get along. XD Again, this is all just my opinion.
As for actual events at the 13+ event (dude, that's even shorter to type than yaoi party! XD), I do agree that the activities need to stay PG13 and under. Not that I'm saying anyone was planning otherwise, but as the people running the event, ya'll need to make sure that there are rules set about those things and then enforce them. Again, not that I think you wouldn't, just trying to help with the planning. ^^ I personally am a fan of really lame games like Fruits Basket, Duck Duck Goose, etc. It is a "sleepover"-esq party after all. X3

Naruchan, calm down... I was saying there should be two events. To be fair to all participants. Seriously, you can't tell us to leave a forum, I am still interested in the normal Yaoi Yuri party for those under 18. But I think it's a good idea for those older then 18 to have a small party of their own. Even if its only on Pre-reg night or something, seriously... it will still be a great con. Calm down...

Thanks, Iruka. DX That was a really stupid argument no offense. I think that was a really good idea Iruka. :] Now back to our planning, I've decided so none of the adults will worry I am going to make a contract with rules that everyone needs to sign before they enter. Unless for some reason your older than 18. I'll post the rules as soon as I type it up and you're to sign with your real name (last name is optional) and badge name. Sound good to everyone?
And I'll start making the sheet things as soon as I'm un-lazy again. ^_^;

Show you have some maturity, and are willing to be at least adult like in your actions. Besides the only reason I suggested another event for the 18+'s is because we might wanna swap animes, or watch more risque animes, which we can't with minors around.

Not to rush anyone, but the event registration forms are due June 15, which is this Sunday. Just so everyone knows (though I'm sure most of you did : P).
I think Truth or Dare is a really fun game, but like you said it's hard to be creative without it getting not-so-fun/legal in our case. The hat would be a great idea! Oh, and Would You Rather is another fun game. We could even make it anime themed! XD;;

Gasp! Is it too late?! DX Well if anyone is still gonna do it, it is "Shoujo-ai, shounen-ai party." The description will be something along the lines of; A sleep over themed party, where you dress up as your favorite character for shoujo/shounen-ai. There will be a photo shoot, food, and games! It will be 18+ after hours.
(Just in case anyone does come to ours 18+)
times wanted will be saturday 7:30 saturday 8:00 and Friday 8:00 I think, and it can't be during the rave. I heard there will be two, so I dunno about that.

don't need any assistance or yojiba or whatever it was. set up time 15 minutes before, take down time would be probably around 10:00.
It's a panel.... event length 2-3 hours I think.

Just email the actual info. Not the form, just the answer to all the questions on the form. Type them out in an email and send them. They have the forms. They just need the answers. ^^;
And if you can't see the form, and that's the issue, email them and ask them what all is on it. Again, you don't need the actual form. You just need to know what is says.

Yeah, I mean you could always take pictures through the whole thing but we'll probably have a set photo shoot in the middle when most people will probably be there. As for games, truth or dare is one for sure. Other games- glomp circle if there is room?- A story thing where you pass the story in a circle and each person adds a part?- Have you ever? Just a few random suggestions.

Okay, so basically were just gonna have a mini photo shoot in the middle somewhere probably for very light yaoi and yuri. We'll also play cute party games and have food to snack on. It's supposed to be a pajama themed party, but I don't think I could wear a pajama cosplay and make it obvious that I'm Kairi so I might just get a sleepy hat to wear or something. : POf course, dress is optional.

I think it's just a shaping material that's edible. They use it on ace of cakes. It's like frosting only tihicker and smoother. IF that's wjhat I'm thinking of. And I personally don't want it to be loud inside or out because the loud bothers me. I get irritated very easily with loud noises. >.<

no, invader spleen is the one that sent in the form....and well its out of our hands if we don't get a room, and I'm not even sure how long it will drag on the party, there are more questions.

I'm sure we will have a room and it will be no big deal. And the event will drag on for as long as we are scheduled. If we want it to go longer then we can move to the park outside and continue.

It will start at the hotel (I don't know for sure but that is my guess for now) and then if we want to continue past our given time we can move to the park.

I have no idea. I am just guessing. We wont know who big of a room we will have till the schedule comes out. And even after the schedule comes out you can look at a map or go to the hotel to see for your self. Or we will have to wait for the con to see how big it is. I'm guessing we can get about 100 people in but there wouldn't be much room. I'm sure it will be in one of the smaller conference rooms.

Should we do, like, rotations if we need to and there are too many people? I'm trying to think of options to use if we are faced with the problem of too little space. I suppose we also could always just go outside for half the people and stay inside for the other half.

I think taking a few games outside would be the best idea. We can plan on keeping some inside and some outside. I would say keep the glomp circle inside so it doesn't get mixed in with the other ones (unless that is what people want).

Randomly popping in again to say that we've discussed game options several times in this massive thread, so it amuses me that it keeps being brought up. XD It is a massive thread full of chatter (shame shame : P) so I understand not bothering to read through for the game discussions.
Anyway, I think someone should go through this thread and just write down any and all suggestions that pertain to the actual event and sort it all out. Cuz we had some really good ideas way back in there. We just have to find them again. ^^

My internet was tweaking out all week, I kinda stayed away from the actual internet for a couple days but I'm back now! Basically, we have duck duck goose now and truth or dare, kagome kagome, when I looked through what I did look through I saw a few ideas rise and fall so now it's just a party to remind everyone. If you have Pajamas you can bring em if you want but it's not themed anymore. Ummm, as a reminder for Kagome kagome the lyrics are;

So if you want to play Kagome Kagome start memorizing them. I might have some sheets to pass out with the lyrics on them. Other games suggested were the have you ever ______ game, where you say you have done something and everyone who has gets up and switches chairs, and then the 10 fingers game which is the same thing only you have ten lives and you don't use chairs! Another game suggested was Otokoyo, a.k.a. tag. We'll see how big our room is before we do that. In snacks, someone was interested in getting pizza delivered and some people volunteered to bring food. I wanna start that over. If you wanna take food tell me or message me saying what it is. I might need a room to store it in, but I have a friend who lives around there that could store it if he really needed to. We can get pizza delivered but I'm gonna want help to pay for it if we do. ^_^; I'm thinking if it's two hours long we'll have a photo shoot for a little bit to begin with, have a free-time play games thing, then play hide and seek or something. XP I wanna play hide and seek there really bad if we can. The glomp cirlce will either need to have people taking turns or just more than one smaller circles. Oh yeah! Dating game too. That sounds fun. :] What do you guys think? XD

You will be fine to order your own food at the Doubletree, as far as I understand there is no rule preventing this. Especially if this is a party you're doing on your own rather than an official event sanctioned by the con. I will remind you all of one thing though, if you want people to go to the yaoi/yuri party, don't put up any paper advertisements or anything like that at the hotel, as we will have to request you take it down due to rules against acknowledging room parties (it could be construed as such).

Well this is an official con event. It is going to be in the schedule. So people will find out about it that way. Do you know if it is ok to put of posters for events that will be outside of the hotel?

I got a rough draft schedule cause I'm the event planner, were on at 9:00-11:00 PM On Sunday. I will take fudge if mom agrees to make it, and if it's okay to take amounts of food then please bring what you can. XP Not too much though. Since I know the length, I could either make a schedule for what to do at what times, or I could decide to make areas where specific events take place in the room... or just make an outline of what we want to do when, but I think for hide and seek, and tag, we could take out the last 20 minutes or so and go outside if you guys want.

It's a minor party, and I clearly said that so if they kick us out at 10 that's gonna be pretty odd, plus last year I always left con at around 11 so I think the curfew is probably around 11. I haven't looked at it or anything though.

We got over the pajama party because of noise and curfew I think, so we are just doing a during-con meetup in some room we can get, and it will be in the con schedule so a lot of people will be going. Depending on how many we have will decide if we split up into two or not.

The pajama thing is optional, a lot of people found it was a problem to make pajama costumes so we decided it wasn't strictly a sleep over, but it still sounds fun.
The party is Sunday from 9:00-11:00 PM and it's basically gonna be a blob of fun stuff. :]

That's one thing people just don't get. Liking another gender DOES NOT mean you are always looking for someone to go out with or someone to sleep with, it just broadens our horizons. I don't have to be Bisexual to know that. ;)

Yeah, for the most part it's the chances of just hurting yourself or others around you, I think. Kinda like how they don't allow mock battles inside or let you run around without shoes on. :3

Chains/handcuffs: With these, you can accidentally clothesline people, or if one person falls, the other will as well, and could lead to some pretty bad falls down stairs. >3< I've heard of people doing that.
Shoes: With portland, it's smart to wear shoes. XD You know, broken glass, gum, and whatever gross things that probably shoulden't be mentioned on the ground. No one wants to step in any of that.
Mock fights: This can just lead to tripping and falling if the floors are marble and such, leading to a few cosplayers getting concussions or hurting a wrist or ankle. (Con stories can be scary. Oo )Plus there's the chance you could accidentally hit and hurt someone who was just walking by. I think poses are just fine, though. :3

Outdoors is the best for hide-and-seek. Maybe we could somehow buy glowsticks for everyone to keep track that they're with us and be able to see them when it gets a bit dark?

Clarification is here!!! The party is from 9:00PM-11:00PM, it's PG13 content. We aren't letting any kids into this, a lot of people would make their ears bleed I'm guessing. We'll have games, a little bit of snackage maybe, photo shoot thingy, and hide and seek outside possibly. I am pretty much the person planning it with Nikki being my consultant. Ohh I feel official. XD And look at those big words I use such as "Snackage" and "thingy". Anyway, that's the main summary. It was posted as a sleep over but we kinda threw that out. I'll message Jaki. So pajamas aren't necessary, just optional.

It's an actual event so everyone has to leave at 11. It's a minor party. So if your over 18 your welcome to leave anytime when the 18+ starts but minors have to leave con at 11 anyway.

I haven't read gravitation. For being the main person in this forum I really haven't read or watched yaoi or anything that much. I mostly made this cause I knew a lot of people would enjoy it and at the time I was a complete fangirl. I'm less of a fangirl now, more of an oh lets look at this since it's here person.
And about more people here, it seems that more people that actually really love and enjoy yaoi and yuri appear to be minors. Maybe it's just not popular on the forums. :-\

I am very much a fan of apples to apples, though it is much harder to play with people you don't know very well. Makes it more interesting, though. ^^ Also, if you aren't playing to win, it's a good game that people can jump in and out of whenever they want. I usually just play til I get tired of it, then read off the adjectives I get. Sometimes you get some hilarious combinations. XD
For any sort of dating corner we have, we should have a lot of little scraps of paper and pens for people to exchange emails etc. Or just put them anywhere, but it would prolly make more sense in the dating corners. Not that it's necessary or anything, but I know I'm always looking for things to write on and with when it comes to exchanging contact info. XP

its not really game you win at....cause it takes a REALLY long time but its fun if i can remember right(havent played in like forever) someone draws a red card and everyone else gets 5 green cards, there's a word on the red card and everyone picks which one of their green cards descibe it best, it doesnt even have to make sense but they put it all face down and the red card person shuffles them(so he/she wont know whos card is who's ) then picks one of the cards they like best an whoevers card is chosen gets 1 point. you can do this with up to 30 cards for a time limit or just go through the whole deck of cards. there are probly more rules but its 3 am i cant think lol

Im the Dib that Goatchild is bringing along for her Zim! So, we were thinking we'd come in PJs, but our Rave outfits are a bit more complicated, so we were planning on leaving early to change and then come back, just to make sure were ready to get into the lines for the rave afterwords XP
Yagi mentioned that there was going to be a PJ Yaoi/Yuri photoshoot, an she really wanted to be in the PJs for that, so do we know a time within the party that the photoshoot was going to be? We really would like to be in it~

Well so far we've decided not to have a schedule, but depending on how big the room is we'll have sections in which you can do certain things, like one part of the room will be photo shoots, one part will be various games etc., even if we did have a schedule the photo shoot would be first thing so you won't miss anything.

Am I the only one that thought this ended up not living up to it's epic potential? So me and my friends were there and we kind of just sat around and didn't really do anything. We didn't even have the yaori pj shoot!
We did leave like an hour early though, so maybe things got better but I know at least the first part was pretty disorganized :D

I will be attending the meeting future meeting to talk to Programming. I really have lot's of Ideas so I really want to try to make a great Shonen-ai for under 18, and a great Yaoi for 18+ ^-^
I intend to run the 18+ party again next year. It was my first time ever hosting a panel and I really enjoyed it.
Since people DID show, I didn't expect anyone to, it was kind of a last minute thing, I'm going to make an extra effort to plan early and make it turnout much better.
Truth be told, I wasn't happy with it either. I wanted a 'party' not just viewing.
I wouldn't mind splitting panels with you like, you can take 18- and I'll do 18+ again.
Or if you intend on just doing yaoi, I can do yaoi + yuri again.
I honestly do not like yuri. It isn't even that I'm not a lesbian so much as it's so damned cheesy and unrealistic, but I don't mind doing it.

This is not a competition, or a "my idea is better than yours". Panels are supposed to be fun for all of those involved... if two people have the same idea, why can't we all work together to put on a great panel?
That being said... panel forms aren't being accepted until after elections in October, so you have plenty of time to figure out what you want to do. And preference is not made for staff over attendee, or vice versa. I've heard a lot of great panel ideas that didn't pan out, because no one made the effort to submit. You can't claim "this is my idea, you can't use it"... everyone has equal rights to panel ideas. Working together will go a lot farther than fighting over it.
Now, please keep the discussion civil or I will lock this thread.

I so the talking, Yes I did talk to the Operations Director that is still in charge until the do voting. I was on the Rant, and Rave after the con. So they are a lot of people that heard me, I might have even gotten film...so a video camera pointing at me.. O__O...

how long are panels usually? i could try to reorganize some party games to probly fit 3 hours, and maybe contests~ maybe we can name it the yaoi party panel, so no viewing >< we'll, there will be viewing just not of dvds, and of course a yuri panel.....you know what? screw it i'm not talking anymore yuri >< i cant think of anything good, well i can but nothing that seems appealing or well no other input on it since most of us currently posting are yaoi fans, hmm.....
That is why I was considering doing separate panels.
Yaoi/yuri has something for everyone and while I'm not a fan of yuri I know I can tolerate it a little better.
So if you guys do not wan to have any yuri at your party, I don't mind doing both.

I seriously have no idea what is going to happen. I still need to wait until the meeting to see whats going to happen. I wanted to make a Shonen-ai, but I also wanted to make a Yaoi for 18+, but it seems that I wont since I really don't want to fight about it either. Either way I still will see if there is a space for the panels in 2009 for Shonen-ai, and Yaoi if someone else is wanting to make one...Even if I'm not part of it I'll see if I can be on shift for those two events.
