I've had a hankering to re-watch Trigun for a while now. I haven't watched it in literally years, but own the box set. :P
Any past or classic series you've had an itch to get back into?
-
Ummm.... Gundam Wing and Outlaw Star!!!! Bring back the old Toonami favorites!
-
Maybe I'm a little too old school, but things like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun just don't seem to be "classic" anime ^_^;; But I guess it depends on how long you've been on the scene? I dunno, I feel like anything out after 2000 just isn't old enough. Or maybe you mean classic as in "everyone loves it?"
My dad watches Captain Harlock whenever he gets a chance. Now that's my idea of classic.

Samurai Troopers FTW Ill be suprised if any of you actually know what it is.
Too bad its so old that the only thing to 'get into' is the anime itself. ie no artbooks, fan gatherings, DJs, ect. *Sadness*

Anyone remember Project A-ko? That was a good series.
For those of you who do know of it, do you know how A-ko even got her powers, since they never say it in the anime? (I know, I know!)
-
Cowboy Bebop.
It's been playing late on Adult Swim again, I don't know why I judt don't pop it in the DVD players I own the box set....O.o
Trigun again of course
Tenchi Muyo
And I reallly wanna watch Ranma 1/2 and Cardcaptor Sakura again.
Thing with Cardcaptor Sakura is, I wanna watch the late episodes with the Clow Cards as Sakura Cards but I haven't seen the anime (In all these years wow... O.O) in it's original uncut form, so I wanna watch it ALL again from the beginning in Japanese but, it's werid to go back and re-watch an anime that's long... like watching Sailor Moon from the beginning, just cause you've been with the story so long and watched all the episodes tell the end, and then you visit the beginning again. Werid...
I've never seen Project A-ko but I should.

Lupin III. Need me some Lupin dvds.
And I just bought the Gundam Wing box set (well, it's two boxes) from amazon last night.
Because I am technical like that: both Trigun and Cowboy Bebop were done before 2000 :P
-
Classic doesn't necessarily mean old....At least not to me really.
I wanna watch Lupin III too!!! :O

Haha I knew someone was going to bring that up. It's classic to me because it was the first anime I saw (outside of DBZ ;P), which is kind of a milestone for me. Like you said, just depends on how long you've been into anime I guess. I first saw Trigun in high school, back in 2000 or so. It feels like ages ago.

Project A-ko is worth a break from Ranma 1/2. Not saying it's better, necessarily, but it's still worth it.

Anyone else notice Death Note on Adult Swim now... *blinks* O.O

I actually haven't seen any Lupin III but I won a dvd of it at the suncoast cosplay contest.

Okay, thought I'd spill the beans on how A-ko got her abilities.
In the original manga, it says that her parents were American superhero characters Super Man & Wonder Woman.
Seriously.

Can you say alternate universe? o_O
-
The Fun alternate universe! We always knew something was going on, Batman was too damn depressing for a princess like her. Takes a farm bred corn fed type like Supes to up her ante!
Man, all I can think is Speed Racer.
-
Goodness, I haven't seen Speed Racer since it was still fairly new.
-
Didn't it originally air in Japan in the 60s? Because I saw it in the 70s, when I was around 12 years old. Can you say Ramblin' Rod?
I still think that people should watch Urasai Yatsura. That was a classic series. But pretty much anything after disc 80 is going nowhere. The franchise ran out of steam, trying to keep everyone the same. Too bad.
-
Is it really that old? Man, I thought it was the late 70's, at the most!

Man, if that would have been on TV here then, it would have been Speed Racer before school, and the Green Hornet at night! That would have been perfect!
