Come one, come all to the K-CON LIVE Charity Auction Monday, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. right before closing ceremonies. Your most excellent auctioneer is the wondrous Mr. John Krall (Sakuracon convention chair's alter ego). A full inventory of items is forthcoming, and we know there will always be some surprises (who can forget the 75 cents that went for $3 at last year's auction!) but we will have everything from ...
- A HUGE Kumoricon 2006 poster sporting our awesome mascot, signed by all Special Guests!
- Plenty of manga, cds, DVDs, videos, games, wall scrolls, figures, cosplay items, art etc. (some new, some used, some hand made - all cool!)
- HUGE Kingdom Hearts 2 two-panel adhesive-backed vinyl (aka - those giant stickers you see on video rental store windows)
- 2-panel vinyl sticker of Onimusha 3
- Tickets to the Japanese Gardens in Portland
- A make-your-own sushi kit (fish not included :D ) and other assorted edible Japanese goodies
- A special surprise from Pocky Club!
- A special surprise from Goggle Squad!
- Sakura-Con Charity Guest of Honor Badge for 10th Annual Sakura-Con. http://sakuracon.org/
AND we will auction off BADGE #1 for Kumoricon 2007!
Be There! You don't want to miss it!!!
Note -- Kumoricon is proud to support p:ear, a Portland based non-profit that aides transitional and homeless youth through art, education, and recreation. For additional information, please visit http:// http://www.pearmentor.org

So does this.

BlackjackGabbiani: Yes! We will be taking donations at the con! We will have a table in the vendor room / exhibitor hall – sooo look for us and you can drop off anything you would like in the auction – thank you!
Squall: I think we auctioned off some BakaZoku-balls last year. Whatever you would like to donate this year would be grand.
anime_fan810808: :D I will try to post some images soon - hope to see you there!
Washougal_Otaku: the coolest thing about the badge auctions is that as the bids increase, we add stuff to the prize, up to and including 2 nights stay at the Con hotel! Should be way fun.
* We are also planning on having the Auction Table (which is also where we will be selling Kumoricon Merchandise) in the exhibit hall be covered in paper, and we'll have markers etc. on hand for people to draw / leave notes on. Sort of a graphiti wall / message board for the con (Megacosplay did something like this last year) - We'll probably auction that off too!
-
So many things I wish to bid for! I will have to bring much cash and spend frugally throughout the con...
-
Don't be scared of Pocky Club!
We've actually got about 5 suprises in the works for the Charity auction. Heh heh heh!

A Gunsmith Cats cold cast resin statue -- value = $150.00

Can I bring them to the bag stuffing party on Friday? Or do I have to bring them during the con itself?
-
BlackJack - I will be dropping stuff off at the bag stuffing party, but not staying (have to finish my auction invantory!) - so if you are there early, I can get it from you. (between 7 - 8:30 I'm thinking)
Trumby - Great! Just let me know.
Now on to more images! Sorry about my crappy camera. These are much prettier in real life -
The Kingdom Heart's 2 vinal -- as stated, it is like two huge (6"x3" approx.) stickers. In this pic, they are clipped to a bamboo pole - I'll try to get a better shot up soon.

Everybody great job on the charity auction!
-
I really wish I could find out how much money the Pocky Club items went for. Pocky Club has a little fund raising rivalry with Goggle Squad. I know that their stuff is going to be pretty high so I'm eager to see how we measured up with our Mystery boxes and the autographed poster.
-
Aw man, do I wan to start a war...?
Of course I do!
Goggle Squad Kick Ass Sweatshirt - $21
Goggle Squad Utility belt and $1 - $20
Goggle Squad signed poster and T (and peacebonded gatorade) - $20
Pocky Box #1 - $9
Pocky Box #B - $8
Pocky poster and Pocky Box #3 - $16
Now this is not including what MEMBERS of Pocky Club donated in addition to the club-themed items. For instance, one of these items went for $60.

How do those donations compare to other related clubs or groups. For example the company sponsoring the repair station
-
Special thanks to the girl who bought the BakaZoku "teabag" for a whopping $45! :)
(btw...that thing wasn't even our idea. A girl cosplayer I met kinda went around finding and hitting us all in the face with that thing LOL, but Im glad it fared so well in the auction. XD)
