Check out medical supply stores, the kind that sell wheelchairs and medical uniforms, or look for a uniform store in your town, those two places are ware I used to get scrubs (or goodwill in Halloween season). Even wallmart has had scrubs. But white is out of fashion and so are the long ones. If those don’t work check out the local fabric store and look for scrub patterns or a nurse costume in the pattern catalog.
I dont think it's a coat, it's a dress or smock in the old style, they never wore them at work I only seen a box of them when I cleaned out a store room and I took one home with the gieger counter and...
a little search and some sites recomend using a A Line dress pattern and shortening the hem and adding the collar
Nurses ewwwwwww been there done that, any aunt in nursing school wont get a call back

What Vondan said.
I got my medical coat for my Seta cosplay at a medical store. They shouldn't be too expensive.

Last time I got a scrub shirt at a supply store it was like $25. A Coat/Smock/Dress will be a bit more. Wall Mart or Costco would be cheaper but they would only have the modern trendy colors Thats why I would check good will for work shirts and costume parts and once made a deal with SVDP and got any thing I wanted the day after Haloween for $1 each including scrubs for work

the scrubs are the kind of things you see the doctors on ER wear, generally an off color such as green or blue. The nurse coat your looking for...well its not called a scrub, but good luck.

It's a type of scrub called a smock that is way out of date, places that sell the modern collorfull ones ones might have or know ware to get a white smock. or find a pattern for an old style nurse outfit
