I'm looking into starting my own plus size cosplay panel for next year.
Due to some things I became aware of, and after months of thought and talking myself into it, I finally decided that it was time for an ONLY Plus Size cosplay panel.
This means that I will be offering advice and tips for cosplaying with a body type outside the normal or average size. Sizes 12 and up for women, and sizes 2XL and up for men. Larger bust sizes, and larger hips problems will also be addressed.
Subjects that will be addressed will include :
Cosplaying for your body type
Concealing and Extenuating certain body parts
Healthy dieting and work out tips
Make up and wardrobe tips for both daily wear and cosplay
How to deal with bullies and harassment at cons and in life
More subjects can and will be added as the planning goes on, so please offer all ideas and please don't hesitate to ask any questions!

I request addressing broad shoulders, as there are times where I try on something and Hurst the shoulders are ALWAYS tight or short feeling... Makes Mr feel like I have foot ball player shoulders
-
Indeed. I'm thinking about a whole section of altering clothes and cosplays for all body types, which will include broad shoulders.

Is there a weight limit or is it only based on clothing size? I don't look over weight but I carry a lot of my weight in my face and wanted to learn some more makeup techniques.
-
No no no, not at all! I am basing it mostly off clothing size.
I will be continuing my work on the current Plus Size Panel that happens at Kumo, but it will have several make overs, so to speak, and will be very much improved! So please make sure to stop by ^-^
We also have a facebook group here as well : https://www.facebook.com/groups/122977381153744/

Ok! Hopefully me and my sister will ^^ she is a first time cosplayer who is self conscious about her weight and I don't really know how to help her :/

If she's on the forums, she is welcome to message me with any questions, comments, or even if she judge wants to rant, I'm free to listen. Same goes for you as well. Its hard for those of us that are on the side of "you can't cosplay because of..." just because we're different. Its not fair, and not right.
