Title: The Copyright Panel Again for 2013
Post by: iceytina on September 27, 2012, 08:48:25 pm
Who went to the 2012 Copyright panel?
Who found it interesting?

As a novelist who pays and has artists sign contracts to produce cover art for me, I found this panel really useful.
A lot of people could benefit greatly from it again.

It was one hour on the 2012 round, and I felt it needed to be 2.
It's just way too intense to go over Fair Use, the Bernes Convention, Creative Commons, Public Domain, and contract stipulations like distribution, licensing, or work for hire. Not to mention intellectual property, wherever that applies, or some of the reasons and causes for people suing others. Oh, and learning about some specific lawsuits was really insightful too.

Well, I felt it was really worth having, and would like to see it again in 2013...
