No matter how much sleep you get, how awake you feel, everyone experiences tired eyes and dark circles during a long con. Here are some makeup tips and home remedies to help you out~
If you have anything, please reply and I'll add it to the first post~
For tired eyes:
- Put a cold wet cloth over your eyes every time your eyes start feeling drowsy. (though kind of impossible with makeup)
- Try a series of eye exercises to wake yourself up.
For dark circles:
- Cover with concealer! I prefer boi-ing concealer by benefit. It's $18 for a pot, but worth every penny! Best concealer out there.
- Try using a white pearly eyeshadow/eyeliner on your waterline and tearducts. This will bring in more light to the eyes, making them appear brighter and more awake.
- Apply a white shadow to the lower lids, with a dark eyeshadow (brown, purple, or blue; black will look too overwhelming) for the crease.
For puffy eyes:
- Try to get a concealer with caffeine as an ingredient. Caffeine treats puffy eyes. I prefer e.l.f.'s Undereye Concealer.
- Cold cucumber slices over your eyes. Make sure they are cold.
- "For puffy eyes, instead of cucumbers, I like using chilled caffeinated tea bags (green tea works well)."
For red eyes:
- Rhoto V Eyedrops to clear redness. Not made for constant use, so only use it if you absolutely need it! Use 15 minutes before wearing contacts.

Thank you! Where could I buy the dark circle remover? :D

For puffy eyes, instead of cucumbers, I like using chilled caffeinated tea bags (green tea works well). I dunno if anyone else has had much success with this method, but it works pretty well for me.

I have like perma dark circles. They're not TERRIBLY visible, but they're there. ALWAYS D:

None of the concealers I have tried have worked- they don't go on smooth and the effect is worse than no makeup at all. I don't know if I just have exceptionally smooth skin there or if I need to buy a very expensive product (which I won't do unless I can get just the right color). Light eyeshadow almost works, but it's too shimmery and the powder leaves cracks where the dark shows through.
So I just live with them. And when short on sleep, I have dark circles AND tired circles!
