Title: Costume Progress?
Post by: Neko_Chan on July 27, 2005, 03:34:29 pm: Heheh... Neko-chan has 5 costumes... and only 2 left to do! >D -dances-
Although, only 2 of them needed to be sewn. /: The others are store bought altered or pre-made (School uniform)

Sooo, beacuse the Con is about a month away, I was just wondering how much progress everyone else has made. ^_^ (Or no progress at that!)

Also, good luck for everyone. :D I hope we all get our cosplays done on time!

Yah we have an overall 20 costume total for 4 people. Right now we have about 4 done xD. While 10 are half-done. Aaaaand then there's the ones we still have to start. Oh well *waves hand* Plenty of time to finish.

Heh... never said I don't have a panic attack xD

My mom and friends help a lot though. It's a team effort which really makes it go quickly. ^^'

We're trying to get a headstart with starting 2 monthes before the con instead of 2 weeks! whoot whoot!

Ebay while you still can!

Also, what Goodwill has in stock changes all the time, so you can keep checking (but it's a risk).

You might also check at Target and cheap places like that, especially if the boots and belt could conceivably be worn with other outfits (and you can therefore justify spending a little money on them).

I do one costume for all three days. That way if people go Sunday but no time else, they get to see it! Plus, Im kinda poor... :wink:

Phew! I have the belt, and I think I'll just have to wear black shoes for the boots though as those are a hard item to come across.

We're having guests over tomorrow, and well - they're going to have to watch me wrap the tsuka whether they want to or not! LOL!

(best I found was Rust-o-leum Chrome Metallic) I made my friend's Xianghua sword out of a bokken because she didn't want to have her sword be sheathed. It took me like 3 weeks to do it and my kali-yuga(diff paint of course :P), but turned out fabulous :D

Just a helpful hint.

And my Lupin robe and wand are ready. I just need to ask for a used old suitcase, add some wizard "bumper stickers" on it and I should be good to go.
