Okay, so, this is kind of a lame game and you don't win anything other than the PURE, UNADULTERATED SATISFACTION OF KNOWING you are the biggest dork in the whole thread. Anyway, it came to me suddenly, and in the future it could prove to be a nice resource to people unsure of someone they want to cosplay...
So, every day at Midnight until the first day of con, I will name a new theme. It could be something like, "Blondes" or "Musically gifted," and all you have to do is come up with as many characters from any anime, manga, or video game (or well, anything else that people might cosplay at an anime convention. So Harry Potter and Doctor Who might count while, say, Runaways wouldn't, as much as I love that comic. Yes, this will be subjective, so I expect all of you to be mature little posters). You can make as many posts as you want until 11:59:59, though it may be to your benefit to include as many as possible in one post, because if someone else names it before you, they get the point.
I guess to make it a little more fun(?) you could include a picture of a character for an additional 4 points for each individual pictured character, though if it stretches my screen (and I have a large monitor) you lost a million jillion points. Individuals can be in grouped pictures, as long as you can clearly indicate which is the one you're referring to.
All the points are reset once a new theme is named.
Since I'm given a little advantage naming the themes, I'll only post characters I can think of after at least 5 hours have passed. Original (non-canon) characters DON'T COUNT, and any theme consisting of two or more characters will be one point for each couple/duo/trio/group. Pictures will still be only 4 points, even if it's two pictures of the characters, or a picture of the group. Though if it's a group picture with a bunch of individuals, the picture counts for every individual one that fits the theme. I hope this makes sense...
Anyways... Onto the first theme, since it's close enough!

NON-WHITE CHARACTERS!!!
"asians" don't count if they could pass for american characters with ease, unless it is specifically referred to that they're a minority. So no, you can't name every single character from every anime you've ever seen. Please don't cheat and look up characters just for this.
Oh, and please say it in the form of "Katara - Avatar: The Last Airbender" or at least include the franchise it's from, and there you go, first poster gets a freebie. Try to have fun!

COUPLES!!! (MUST be canon or at least have a very strong indication that the writer intended to imply them. I'm not going to count Light and L, or any mix of characters that have a fanbase with no...canonical base. Each couple is only one point, and pictures can only include the couple but may be fanart for this round if necessary. Male/female, female/female, male/male are all allowed, but for my sanity's sake, please mark girls with pink and boys with blue. Yeah, there is some room with this one. Be realistic, I ask? Oh, and you can use any color you want for neither girls nor boys, if we're just not quite positive.)

Today's theme for Saturday, August 29th, is....
OVERWEIGHT CHARACTERS! And overweight is just a vague term, by this I mean any character with a little extra pudge to anything wider. BIG BEEFY MUSCLEMANS I'll count, just because there are so few legitimate overweight (or, you know NOT A STICK) characters.
...I can only think of two, so I know I probably won't win this one, but good luck to you more dedicated anime fans!! And from now on I'll try to be on time, I've gotten the bulk of my cosplay work done now. :/

characters with physical problems because my finger hurts so bad... Any kind of injury (or disability) will do for any length of time in the show/game/etc, and i do know of a dating sim revolving around handicapped girls... Pryce and Agatha from Pokémon both use canes, but they're also, like, older than the molten core of the planet. In one comic continuity, Pryce is in a wheelchair and can barely stand (unless he has...assistance. And I won't say anything further because it's a giant spoiler).

SCOTT THOMPSON - CRAZY HAIR. Because those are all the same characters. Likewise, after you named Scott Thompson, someone else can't say "Scott Thompson - Jester hair." That's what I mean. It's the same character every time, even if they do undergo changes throughout the show/game/whatever.
