So.
[/cough cough]
I was thinking we should have a giant Hare Hare Yukai dance, completely synchronized, and we could get some people to videotape it?
I think it's a fun idea, especially since we'll have all these random cosplays that have nothing to do with 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.'
Plus what type of anime con doesn't have one.
Thoughts?
Rehearsals are:
Four days straight, from the twenty fifth to the twenty eighth.
It'll just be normal attire, but we'll have an 'dress rehearsal' on the twenty eighth.
The actual performance will take place on SUNDAY of Kumoricon.
People participating:
~Jukie_pop (Doll~)
~Athina (Suiseiseiki AKA DESU)
~Grace (Some other person from Rozen Maiden. - w -;;)
AND OTHER PEOPLE~!
-
It is a great idea! I would go (once I learn the rest of dance *sweatdrop* ;D) It should be held somewhere big, like Pioneer Courthouse Square!
-
Pst, I have a cosplay group that's doing this as a skit -nudge nudge-
-
I will not participate... However I may videotape... With your permission of course...?
-
to get people we eed to practice and have a time/date and a cut of what song dance spec, the reg haruhi dance or the extended version?
I have always wanted to do somthing like this :)
-
Music wise, I have both versions. but the techincal means to play it I don't have that.
-
Well, I think that it'd be better if we didn't do it as a skit, but at a place where everyone could see. And near the Hilton. But, yeah, we could make practice times, if you all were interested.
: D
And, I think the regular version is easier, or we could do an adaptation on the dance and teach it.
In that case I need choreographers.
And, I can get the music. And a boombox, or ipod speakers.
; D
-
But be careful~ some people will be cranky etc.etc.
But they should just go along with it~
-
I'm in if this happens : D
-
I'm in, if it's not a skit. I know the dance in full so I can teach the dance.
-
i'm in but it depends on the rehearsal dates and times.
-
Yeah, this will not be a skit.
We're not asking everyone to participate, but I want a lot of people.
So, how many rehearsals do you think we should have?
Two, for the people who can't make the first one?
We could do it by waterfront, so it's convenient for everyone?
Or at the Rose Garden. They have quite a big stage, and it usually isn't used until evening.
They also have a lot of space around there?
As for the choreography, I thought we could do it like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDe7Xqw4rWY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDe7Xqw4rWY) Where we split into five groups? We could have some Haruhi's upfront. ;D
-
lets do a count, (for doing this NOT A SKIT)
location you are in (for planning pratice)
day time avability

Why not more than that? It'd be a waste to gather up all those people just to do the dance two or three times. That akihabara group you linked to; I was guessing they went around the city doing most of their performances on the same day. Why not do something like that~? :0
On another note, someone should plan to take a group around during Kumoricon, off of the con space of course. Or maybe on the day before Kumoricon? It could really help promote |D

Actually, that's an excellent idea.
We will, of course be performing at Kumoricon.
I need a group of choreographers to meet up with me beforehand, so we can work out the dance.
Any takers?
You just need to be intelligent, and know the whole god damn dance.
But rehearsals, are for learning, not for performing, lol.
Are you guys free... say July 25th?
-
I'm still learning the end of the dance, but I'd love to do this! It sounds like a ton of fun!
I'd have to know dates though, staring monday, I'm gonna be busy for three weeks straight TT_TT (not including weekends though :3)
-
I'd love to do this! I won't be on cosplay though...Is that ok?
I'm only free on weekends.
-
I am interested. Depending on the dates, of course. ;p
-
Argh, I just found this thread! Will you guys still be doing this?
It would be the regular version, correct? I personally don't know the dance, so, I'd be a student...;D
I live in Portland, and my availability is basically whenever, because I'll probably be able to make time for this whenever I'll need to.
-
I am totally in.
However, 1, I am not cosplaying this year, and 2, I dont live in Portland, but I kinda know it already, and do para para, so I am not too worried. Could we perhaps all meet the night before the con so we can go over everything then for those of us who live out of town?
-
i would love to be apart! we use to dance to this song every day in our drama class in High School. so up for it
-
Okay, so I am going to construct a list of people who want to participate.
Just say if you do, okay?
I'll edit the first post, etc.
Anyways, I thought it'd be easier if one week before Kumoricon, we did it, four days straight, from the twenty fifth to the twenty eighth. However, I want to mention that these are weekdays.
I personally want to avoid the crowd on weekends. xP
It'll just be normal attire, but we'll have an 'dress rehearsal' on the twenty eighth?
Lemme know if you can't make it.
:3
-
I will not be doing this, but I will gladly come to videotape this.
You should edit the first post to have the dates and times of the rehearsals and then date/time/place of the actual preformance. I'm guessing this will be done on the first day?

No, I was planning to do it on the second day actually, when Kumoricon is in full swing.
If you want to videotape it, I will love you forever.
xD

Okay. Just give me a time and place, and I'll make sure to be there!
