Have renamed this thread for 2010 (was a 2009 thread). I will restart the list of characters that people are going as for next year. If you went to the photoshoot please post the link to your pics I would love to see them.

I think the photoshoot is a good idea. When do you think we shoud do it? I have a Death Note photoshoot the first day so it will have to be the 2nd or 3rd. What do you guys think?

There has been an Offical Photoshoot thred started and I wanted to put our shoot up there put I need to know what time and day you guys where thinking about. I was thinking Sunday morning so we could do it before the Cosplay Competition.

Well, I'm about 75% done with fixing my Cornelia costume. After seeing the photos of me from KCon '08, I noticed that it was actually too big in the shoulders and the waist, so I grabbed my seam-ripper and scissors and resized the jacket. Oy vey, I think resizing a costume (I left the zipper in and the lining partially attached during this resizing adventure) is a far more difficult project than making a costume from scratch. If I had more of the same fabric, I would've simply made a second one of same costume and sold off the other one to some other person. I do have more of the pants fabric, so I am going to remake the pants. The pair that I made for last year were OK for standing/walking but because the fabric didn't stretch as much as I thought it would, they feel a little short when I sit. I also took apart the gloves and boots I made. I'm thinking of simply attaching the white bits from the gloves to the sleeves and going with that - I have discovered that I can't stand wearing gloves and any time I want to touch something I'm always having to remove the gloves anyway, so it would be better to simply skip them altogether.  And, no, I'm not doing Cornelia's cloak - the jacket & pants are warm enough - and I don't want to waste time making something that I'll want to remove immediately because I'm too warm.   

Oh, do we have a time for gathering? I'm trying to decide when I should put on each costume... can't decide what to wear for Cosplay show yet... Oy

Yes, the hotel has beautiful stairs that are perfect.
The only problem is, we're not allowed to just randomly block everyone from using the stairs for a few minutes. xD
Another option, like Seraph said, is Pioneer courthouse square..

If you look at the map that was posted on the forum by "Tomthefanboy" the one that the hotel information on it. the park is not that far from the hotel about three blocks. I am pretty sure that is what "Naruchan" was talking about when he said park blocks.

I finished the redo of Cornelia.  It fits MUCH better. I wound up taking out about 1 1/2" from the width of each shoulder and took in the waistline and hip seams about 1/2" each. Also, since I HATE gloves, I cut up the gloved I'd had and simply attached the white bits to the sleeves - and on one side, it's got a zipper so I can store my credit card & license in my sleeve. I also redid the boot covers - I turned them into socks and will wear clear shoes over them as the soles. Far more durable than the shoe covers I had before (I tend to cross my feet when I sit and would trash the footwear so quickly it wasn't funny....

So, when are you guys dressing as code geass gang so I know when to plan to wear Cornelia? (I'm running cosplay so I'll be occupied a fair portion of Sunday)

I have Suzaku's casual wear (the blue coat!) and his school uniform.

I was the casual Suzaku on Sunday of Kumori-Con last year. I was often seen with a Euphemia or at the Sakura-Con booth.

Trying to make one for up coming Sakuracon and it's just not turning out. I think I have a little over a week to figure out this mess >.<!
