Looks like there was so much interest in Guilty Gear cosplaying for 2010 that conversations have started popping up in other threads. I make this now so we can stop derailing things so much.
Anyways, Guilty Gear? I'm in. I'll be Lady Ky Kiske for sure and I'll be makin' Lady Axl Low if my boyfriend wants to be normal Axl still.
Post here with your plans and conversations.

Guilty Gear - I'm in (finally)! And I will be Bridget for 2010.
Ordered what I hope to use for the white dress part a while ago, I'm just hoping it'll be long enough... I suppose there IS a pair of bike shorts I get to wear under it... but if the measurement listed is correct it should be fine.
And I find it rather cute that we have a thread here for 2010 before con 2009 has happened. We're that ahead of the game! B)

Totally. We will probably have PLENTY characters.
One of my friends told me she will be fixing up her Baiken costume for '09 and she'll think about bringing it for 2010. I'm also going to try to convince my friend Torei who will be muh Lady Sol and my little sister who cosplays as May to bring their costumes to '10.

PLENTY characters? That is so awesome!!! Haha, just start a check list, eh? =P And ya seem to have plenty of people to rope into cosplaying GG characters - very cool. I've tried to get my little sister into cosplay, just not her thing, unfortunately. Perhaps it is better though that she isn't... I'm one of those overprotective brothers and the ONE time she wore a skirt for a cosplay I flipped out... >>;

I am excited~ I can't believe I'm already starting on Bridget stuff for 2010, but maybe if I get most the clothes stuff done this year then the props and stuff can be my main focus before the actual 2010 con during summer. I loooove working on props, yay!
Plus, I can actually try on the dress thing early and see if I have the cojones to wear it, haha!

... I thought everyone knew that... Hence all the "turner" and "trap" jokes. ^^;; But I have seen odd theories that Bridget was MEANT to be a girl but due a typo became a boy... not sure I buy that though.
Real question: How many people know that I'M actually a guy?

About the dress, I'll get back to you on that since it slipped my mind. My mom was more involved in the dress then me but I can ask my sister to take out her dress and take some pictures for me.
As for the anchor, I was a big part in that I can help you there.

So there are a lot of things that should be fixed with that, but my handcuff was my first prop and my sis's anchor was her's so it's a good first shot!
Anyways what we did was we bought a bunch of upholstery foam and used that for the top circle, the the long thing (name slipped my mind!) and the lower circle thing. You just cut out a basic shape you want, then you use a crap ton of masking tape and tape it up so you get a more rounded shape if that makes any sense. Then you go over each part with brown packing paper and glue (just use it like paper mache). For the actual bottom part I can't remember if we used more upholstery foam or cardboard but I'm sure either would work. If it's upholstry foam, just do what I said earlier. Anyways, as you can see her anchor looks lumpy. She rushed on some parts of it which cause it to look gross. I suggest going over it after it dries with layers of gesso and sanding it the hell down.
I know this is a little confusing but I can pm you with a more thoughtful tutorial if you'd like.

lol thanks, so basicly a boffing weapon with papermache? sounds easy enough... to be honest i think the actual outfit will be harder for me then the weapon

Lol they have to be tiny I'm only 5ft! Syd will be my Ky if she gets him done in time. LOL but the girl version of sol and Ky will be taller then the men versions! XP cuz you be taller then me and Syd.

We can have our own table with microphones or those headset ones and we'll make commentary! I can see it now!!! We'll sell tickets and there will be a stadium that pops up out of no where, concessions will be served and at half time - dancers!

Are ya talking about 2009 cosplay? 'Cause, no, we don't have a day for this because we're talking about Kumoricon 2010 and that's quite a bit away... I haven't seen much buzz for 2009 Guilty Gear.
But if you are cosplaying this year I hope I can find you and take some pictures!!! >w<;

B-b-b-b-b-bump it up.
So my GG bros and ladies, I come to you with a question. I've pretty much hit the last straw with doing overly sexified costumes (1 too many creepers for Victreebel.) I like cuter costumes anyways, so I don't think I'm going to be doing Lady Ky anymore.
BUT I still want to do a GG costume. I'm just not sure who....

Personally, I like Baiken, more. And it would mean, you'd get to buy a wig, that ISN'T blond.
Plus, I think you could make a great Baiken. :3

Well mass opinion makes it Baiken then. I might be making that ahead of time for Sakuracon or be doing an Alt. color of Bridget.
