So I got the scythe today! It's really big!! I'm about 5 feet 6 and it's way taller than me, so I think it's about 6 feet ish and the sickle piece is about a yard wide. HUGE and slightly heavy. LOLZ Thiiis should be fun...

I made my pouch pretty much by eye. There wasn't any real thinking or planning behind it except making sure i had enough pieces. three out of four tries i forgot the bottom piece so i'd have a front, back and two sides. hahaawesome! what's you dA?
but the one I have now is a little big, but it's really nice. I lined it so I can put stuff in there to a certain degree. i mean not really heavy stuff, but my phone and cash. I used really tough leather like vinyl though, and it took it's toll on one of my needles... LOL

Crying might help your stress, and help you calm down, but you'll be fine, I promise. I haven't started a lot of my cosplays, either; heck, I hardly have any idea who/what I'm doing. Just take it a day at a time. I'm sure you'll make a great Xiggy; just take it piece by piece. Before I make/work on a cosplay, I make a list of things I need to do/make, and sketch out the designs, and such. If you do that, I think it might help you feel a little better.

One way that I do change the color for other costumes is to put elmer's glue on my eyebrows and once that dries paint over it with acrylic paint.

If you have the money I strongly suggest getting a coat from http://orgxiii.org/ that have great coats. But you are looking at around $250 just for the coat and shipping, not including lining and the beads.

I am going to trim the fly away hairs so it is a little neater but I am quite happy with the way it looks. And I made the front spikes lay down more so they aren't sticking strait up as much :P
