Ello Sync fans~
A group of us are wanting to get the whole group together from the cast of the Vocaloid PV: Synchronicity for the Cosplay Contest 2012.
If anything, we'll just do a quick walkon and do a mini fight. But we are wanting to do an actual skit where we'd do a dance as if we're fighting and sort of act out the PV.
To do this, we need to get most of the main characters (at least a Rin and Len) to want to participate.
So, if you're interested, please state who you'll be cosplaying, and how available you'll be.
And remember to be apart of the cosplay contest, your cosplay has to be made by you or credited to the maker. If you just can't make it, we'll see if you can just not be included in the judging but still be apart of the skit.

yea she doesn't >.< i wish she did though. would make it easier to force him into the crossplay <.< but his costume is exactly the same just with tights XD (well not soo tight cuz that's just o-e)

So guys...I don't think a skit is going to work. Right now I know Doe, Nick and my plans at con are already looking pretty busy. And I think I'd just rather do a simple walk on.
I mean, looking at some of the walk ons in the past, they do more than just walking on, posing, and walking off. A lot of people do a mini skit to really show off their outfits.
I think we could do that. Especially since it's looking like we wont have that many people. Do a walk on with some quick mock fighting.

Hmm...Well... I wish we had a Len. He is pretty much the main person. We can do without a Rin.
What about that one Len that was there this year? Anyone know her? Maybe she can join us and then it would at least seem like an actual scene.

So....Don't kill me guys. But I have a feeling that I wont get Sync done, or at least as done as I would want, so I'm kinda thinking of pushing it back a year and doing it for 2012...You guys could still do this, I don't care, but you probably wouldn't have me...
Though, if we do push it back, we could actually do a skit and probably get more people!

Well, I'm actually thinking the same thing.
But for me, a lot of my cosplays depend on a lot of things.
Since I just got a new job, and I'm going to be moving out again and such..
Maybe it'll be beneficial to push this back, I don't know.
I still have to see.

Yeah...
For me, I want my cosplay to pretty much be prefect....So I'm gonna want to put A LOT of time into it and a lot of money is going to go into it as well.....
So, I'm gonna wait another year to do Sync.

So I'm gonna update this for 2012.
Though I have a feeling we'll just make another one next year...But oh well...

So...Doe may not be our Gumi...She's planning on moving next year, so 2011 will probably be her last Kumo......Sad...But I messaged her and we'll see how she responds >>

Doing it for 2012 sounds like a good plan. I will probably have more sewing skillz by then, my dad is forcing my mom not to help me with my cosplays anymore since she needs time by herself. So I have to make all my costumes now.

So...
Break down of Sync:
Len and Rin are separated.
Len goes to find Rin.
Len passes all the significant people on his way.
Luka and Gakupo fight. (Luka wins)
Len threatens Luka.
Len and Meiko fight. (Meiko wins)
Ruko attacks Meiko/Len. (M/L flee)
Kaito saves Gakupo.
They all run off together to save Rin.
Luka/Ruko order soldiers to attack the group. (Group wins)
They fight Miku until only Len is left.
Len passes out and then wakes up.
Len breaks Miku's mask and jumps off a cliff.
Meanwhile...Rin seems to have died during this whole thing.
That's about the break down of main events, yes?

That sounds good, I think though if we can get a Rin that should be a moment with her and Len when he is passed out like in the video. Although if we didn't show Rin before it mihgt be a bit confusing for those non-VOCALOID fans

Well Im thinking like in the start they are seperated across the stage and Rin drops her necklace. Then Len comes on and picks up the necklace so you get the connection.
I have it in my head and when I get home Ill write it down more.

We can take the first two songs and splice the sections in that are relevant and toss out parts we dont need.

@wrath: yes :3 i'll be working at disneyland in their college program :3 so right now i'm going to pcc to get my grades back up the way they were and getting myself out of my stupid depression :P so hopefully if i can save enough money i might be attending 2012 :P if it's in portland that is ...

Yup, yup!
Idea for skit without great detail. (As in...I'm not writing out all choreography or where it would go, just the main flow of how I see it.)
Lights up on Rin and Len together doing some activity. (Can be figured out later. Their outfits should be different. Such as Rin in different dress and Len just without his jacket.)
Miku comes onstage and beckons to Rin from the sidelines.
Two men appear from behind Rin and Len and grab the two, dragging them in opposite directions. (Rin towards Miku.)
Rin drops her necklace as she is being dragged off.
Len slips his jacket on from offstage and runs (in a very fancy, dance way) to get Rin's necklace.
As he picks it up and looks out in the distance, the others enter stage to simulate the movement of time and place.
Everyone disappears off except Luka and Gakupo who have a battle dance.
Gakupo goes down (Chains...?) and Len jumps into the fight. Luka slips out and Meiko comes in.
Teto dances around like a memory.
Meiko beats Len. Ruko jumps in. Meiko and Len flee and Ruko and Luka leave the opposite way.
Gakupo is freed by Kaito and soon join up with the others.
Battle comes with Miku. Everyone falls but Len.
Rin dances like a memory.
Len falls but gets back up. 'Shatters' Miku's mask.
'Jump's off a 'cliff.' (mimic jumping off stage...?)
So basic outline good...? Bad...?
Feel free to add or destroy anything. XP
Gumi would be in the group scenes and could join in the fight. I really don't know what to do with her cause she shows up once. |D

hm well i really don't see how gumi fits in there at all... seeing as you guys want the main story and gumi is just in there as a sorta filler/prop just to make fans happy -_-" (in the video) so i doubt you'll need a gumi at all.
but if you want to fit in a gumi, you might want her to just walk by going the opposite way gakupo is going as he is going to meet the others (after the part where "Gakupo is freed by Kaito and soon join up with the others"). and it's just a quick scene, just like in the video lol

i used to mix music for hobby (and still do) i used ACID music program and it's the only one i use XD so if you need someone with music editing skills let me know cuz i'm your gal XD

I think later in the year (next year) we should try to have a meeting to talk more about this. See what we can do and such. And maybe we'll know who we'll have as well.
I don't think we can have the necklace thing, mainly b/c no one will be able to see it.
But I like all the dancing/memory stuff!
And the fact that I have to save Gaku's sorry ass -w-

Still hoping to do this of course! And I figure we can start making plans once this year's Kumo is over.
Especially once I've been in the contest and know more of what goes on.
And I thought it'd be awesome if we made a video to go along with it that can be porjected onto a screen on stage to be the backgrounds and such. That'd be a good way to get the dragon in there...So if you're crafty with that kinda stuff (aka: not me), then please tell me, and maybe even start working on it, if you want!

Huh...that would be pretty awesome to have a dragon projected back there. We could also use that same kind of idea to be more in depth with some parts.

I'm ok with video editing, I just don't have a video editing program on my computer right now..

~Since there's so much time, I could probably work out an animation of a dragon or something. I've been working on making vocaloid animations in GIMP so I could try my best.
*I've started gathering materials for Len cosplay... but I don't know if I'm going to grow during the next year so I'm gonna postpone making it right now.
Also, Imma ask my friend Casey if she can come up here to do Rin.
And I'll see if my sister could be Meiko or Teto.
~Unless other persons pull through to be Rin/Meiko/Teto *shrug*

Okay guys!!! Kumo '11 is over and now it's time to plan for '12!!!
Are people still wanting to do this? I'm hoping to finally finish Kaito.
But I need to know who still can/wants to do this! We need the main characters at least (Miku, Rin, Len, Gakupo, Luka, Kaito, Meiko) and if we get the others that'd be awesome as well.

I would if I don't have to make it. Also if it's a skit you don't have to make the outfits. So we should be good if people can't or don't want to lol like me XD

I'll ask, but I think we can have it judged as a whole skit and then those of us who made/want to have our cosplayed judged can do that as a group. I know I want to have mine judged b/c I'll have to make most of it anyways.

Sadly, I have a feeling that this is kinda dying...Who knows. I'm still planning on working on the cosplay, but I just may not bring it to con, unless we're doing this....
I'd like to get a group to at least do a walk-on...Though, it'd be nice to do a skit since they've been having problems getting skits. If you guys want, we could probably think up a totally different skit...?

i was just looking at my cosplay list, and i think i can actually fit it in since i have 4 costumes. and i may have to stick with the original gumi instead of my Original design since my design has a lot more details than the original x.x

Though, we're gonna need a lot more people to do this..
Do we just want to get a different skit together that involves less people needed?
I mean I loved the idea of doing a dance thing to Alice Human Sacrifice, but the costumes are just so simple...
We could even do a totally different series, if we wanted...
I just want to finally do a skit, and since they have been needing skits it'd be nice to do one, instead of just another walk-on
