So, I've already posted about this, but I might as well do it here too. I am planning an informal Cosplay day in Portland, October 28th, 12-7:30ish. May end at pizza place, I will keep updates on locations. We shall all meet at Pioneer Courthouse Square, I'll be a neko in a tiny top hat. The infamous Black Star will be joining us as well. Cosplays/costumes not required though encouraged! I hope to see you all there!

I'd be interested in coming if I have enough of my outfit finished in time. I've been reworking my current outfit to make it more accurate, but it's taken a lot longer than I ever thought it would...

I'd totally join Blue Leader with the Star Wars fun, but since Kumoricon I have dyed my hair from red to black so no Mara Jade right now :(

Do you mean at the actual courthouse, the mall, or Pioneer Square it'self?

The square, like where the glomp circle was during Kumoricon 2010, with the bruck steps and stuff.
And I'm making the "Free Hugs" game, where when you are huged, you give the sign to the person who hugged you, and they give it to the person who hugged them, and so on and so forth.

One thing I might keep in mind is the weather that for week and how much traction your footwear will have. I've learned when it's wet and rainy the bricks tend to be slick sometimes. So in the case of rain, we could move the circle to an unoccupied park where traction and trees might keep us a little more dry.

i have a friend who'se not a cosplayer but wants to wear shibuya gal clothes, and im trying to drag her to this meet up coz she's too shy to wear em and needs friends that can understand her desire to wear unique clothes-- sadly i cant join you guys since it's a friday, i have class in the afternoon and tutoring in the evening... but maybe i could introduce her to you guys--

Plus I don't really have any of my new cosplays done. I was trying to get either Halloween Town Roxas or Pokemon Master Red done for Halloween, but now it looks like I won't have time to complete either of them... T T

I'll be there a little late as well. I have to go to Lloyd to give a wig to someone at noon, and then I'll be heading back.

Looking down the home stretch to this meet, the events I hope to go to including this one make for an exciting week and a perfect conclusion to a good month, with the great costume-flexing candy hunt called Halloween to finish it all.

I shall try and post on here if we move. Im planing on being at the square for a few hours. Also, if you want to bring a "free hugs" sign with the backside saying rules to a game. They are "Once you are hugged, hand the sign to the person who hugged you." It can even be a piece of paper!!! Then, bring PLASTIC water bottles for a glomp circle! *is excited!!!!!*

Funny thing is that I used to always try to get meet ups for days during the week and not the weekend but now I want them during the weekend. I am working Friday until 4 and I have dog training at 6 =/

It is 12pm to 7pm, but I have to drop off my brother at hiss school at 1, so Black*Star, a pixy, an OC and I will be showing up like 1:30 to 2. That does not mean you don't have to show up till then, but don't go looking for the adorable neko you see in the picture, or Black Star.
We will be doing some walking around, so dress appropriately, and we will be having lunch at the pioneer courthouse food court. Bring money, and an awesome aditude!
I'll also have a mini survey for those who come, there is a lady in my public speaking class who is doing her speech on the Otaku culture! Represent!!!

Was wondering why I didn't see you in the group when I popped in for a brief time. Followed the crowd to the mall exit but got distracted by an old friend and fell behind. Just as well though. I couldn't have caught up in the current weather with my current footwear. Worn out sneakers and slick bricks don't mix. I'll keep an eye peeled for another opportunity to gather, heck might even throw out a possibility myself.
