Does anyone know about the cosplay hunt? Its like a scavenger hunt for people hunting down cosplayers...one of the staffers told me about it...how do I sign up to be the hunted? :)

I see. I'd love to sign up for this! 8D It would be nice if people could hunt down Geisha-roth, which is what I'll be for one day.

I would sign up for it but not if I had to cosplay a specific character :P

We are running the Cosplay Scavenger Hunt again this year. If you are interested in being one of the 'huntees', email programming@kumoricon.org with what your cosplay is, and what day you are doing it.
Because people will be looking for you to complete their list, you will need to a) wear that cosplay for the majority of the day, and b) plan to be in and around con space (they can't look for you if you're in your room or on MAX on the way to the mall.)
We will contact you and let you know the particulars :)

I was involved in this once before at a convention a long time ago but it kinda went down before it started, so this should be loads of epic cosplay fun! xD

Hi guys,
We got quite the turnout (more than I expected, actually) :) My wonderful assistant has compiled the list, and we will be emailing you soon to let you know if made the hunt or not.
Thanks for everyone who volunteered... we wouldn't be able to do this without you guys :)

I wish I could help you, but if I were in your situation, I would email them now. And if you don't receive an answer (perhaps they're super busy!), then you should go to the programming office when you can. :)
I got an email the other day and will be participating as a huntee. Super stoked!

Alright now I'm curious.
Is there a time/place where people who want to do the 'hunting' can pick up whatever is needed to add their collected stickers to? (Some kind of score sheet I'm guessing?)
Do you have to preregister to be a hunter or can you just sign up as you arrive at the con?
If theres a page detailing this somewhere please inform me, it sounds fun and I've never heard of it...

Is there a way to give the participating cosplayers little buttons or something? I tried this on Saturday, and ended up asking tons of people that weren't actually involved, which must have annoyed some of them if there were a lot of people in the scavenger hunt. And I think I only found 3... didn't even know who half the characters were. Most were nice enough to tell me what the character I wanted looked like, but that didn't help much since I didn't find them.;)

I helped out at the info booth this kumoricon and they had the sheets out on the table but no one seemed that interested or didn't know what to do with it... I would suggest something more efficient.

It is happening, but I don't remember how to get a hold of the person who is running it. If she or someone who can get a hold of her don't see this by the meeting on Sunday I'll bring it up.
