I got mine the other day my badge number is 399 how about you guys?
Added a clarification to the thread title, to try to minimize confusion about which thread is which so that this thread can continue. ~randompvg
-
Had mine for a bit, I'm number 76
-
I'm 201 I think or somewhere in the low 200's
-
your always there :D at the first peoples.
-
Since I'm staff, I won't be getting mine until Day 0 of the con. The lowest number I've ever gotten was #003. That was kind of funny, because I recommended #026, and superjaz wanted #003. I got it instead, and I think she got what I wanted. (I think this was in '08, but I don't remember for sure).
-
I got mine the other day as well. Number 362. Excitement~! ^.^
-
Finally got mine, it's 301.
-
I got mine like 3 days after I paid! LOL Talk about timing! I'm #629.

NICE XD
-
I got mine about two days ago! :3 Mine is number 749.
I think we ordered the day right before the price went up to $40.
-
Ps. I think you need to change the topic name of this to "Badges and have you got yours?" XD It says "Bandges" which makes me read it as "Bandages"
-
Lol I didn't notice :3 thank you for telling me
-
Also...yeah I haven't received my badge yet, and I won mine as Cowboy!America before registration was even open I believe. OTL I messaged the K-con staff about it and they said that it should be sent out next mailing period. Like a week ago I sent them a message asking when the next mail-out will be but no one has gotten back to me yet.
FFF just ranting..sorry.
-
Got mine a while ago. I'm #103. I registered at 11 at night the day before the price went up for the first time. :D I had no idea they'd come so early (first time pre-regging) so when it came I was all EEEP! BADGE~ :DDD There may have been dancing involved. *shifty eyes*
-
Ps. I think you need to change the topic name of this to "Badges and have you got yours?" XD It says "Bandges" which makes me read it as "Bandages"
I was thinking that, too, but I'm getting sick of being called a nazi.

I would never call you one wash :3

I haven't gotten mine yet... *Sigh* Guess I should contact someone about it.
-
Just got mine the other daaaay~
:33333333
Am excite~
-
Me and my fiancé have not gotten ours yet. Who is the person we contact to ask about the status?
-
The e-mail to contact is registration@kumoricon.org
please note that badge mail outs typically happen on weekends, once a month as far as I've noticed, and are quality checked, so if there is an error, sometimes they have to come back another day and fix a computer/human glitch! With the unprecedented number of early badges we are receiving this year, expect our wee reg team to be working round the clock to get them out to you ASAP. I know it absolutely sucks to wait to get that sweet sweet badge... the symbol of your Kumoricon Adventure (Yes, I once said that to my friend with full dramatic pose, and she agreed I am way too cheesy for my own good) and that physical proof that you really are going. But trust in our little reg monkey's and be patient with them, they are people too... well... kinda. :)
Just kidding, I love the reg team, but they are seriously on another level with how hard they work. But if you have questions or concerns e-mail Brandon or Brian and I am sure they will get back to you lickety split.

When emailing us, please remember to put in the names of the people we're looking into, so that we know who to check. You'd be surprised at how often this information is left out ^.^
-
I hope I did not sound impatient, I did not mean to! I am just super excited for y first KumoriCon! =D
And I would like to thanks to the people working on this for making it possible! I can't wait to get my badge! =D

That makes me happy, Jacob, but others do, and I find it sad and disgusting that some would compare people who can speak and type correctly to those that would kill millions of people just because they're different, you know? Thanks for being a decent human being, by the way...
-
Got mine a few weeks ago. I......am number 69. XD My year is made.
-
<_<.....>_>..... ;D
Nice, Fangs. When did you register? You may have one of the lowest numbers reported yet, heh.
-
XD *dances* Yay for 69! lol
Um....I registered at an Uwajimaya festival. They always have one like....RIGHT after kumoricon, and I usually register there. I think it's the first chance to register after Kumoricon itself.
-
I ordered my badge yesterday! X3 I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL IT COMES!
-
This is my first time attending Kumoricon, I can't wait! I ordered my badge April 15th, when should I expect it ^_^;
-

-
I've been wondering when mine will show up.
hugs D: hopefully soon !
-
I just ordered mine :'D I'm so happy~!
-
Ordered mine at the end of may. It came in the mall just today. Mine's number 1096. It's my second year at the con, and my first year pre-registering. It's also my first time cosplaying. :)
-
I ordered mine on new years and I still haven't got it, is that not good? D:
If it's bad, what do I do?
-
That was fast! I just got mine today :'3
-

New Years oh wow :o. umm probably could email registration@kumoricon.org since it has been a long time, I know last time I helped out they're were working on some mis-prints. also dont forget to tell them your name they get emails where no one puts their name. ^^"
-
Also, i have a question about the badge i got. I remember in 2009 when i pre-registered (I didn't do that in 2010), i got a yellow badge with a chibi version of the mascot on the front (Because i'm under 18). This year though, i got a blue badge with a full-size version of the mascot on the front.
Have they stopped useing different colors for the teens badges, have they switched the colors around, or was this a mistake?
-
Got my badge and my friend's badge today after ordering them last week. Contacted registration though as friend's badge came in a different color than mine (mine was blue) and we're the same age. LOL.
-
you have an adult one that is not right I think you may have to contact reg it's a missprint
-
Alright. I'll have my mom contact registration later about it.
-
yay, i got my badge today! I'm number 1022. it will be my first time with a blue badge! as it was said in the Kcon rules video 2009, "I. AM. OLD ENOUGH!!!"
i do have a question regarding the badge holders though. Can you buy your own thing to hold your badge, like a plastic card holder on a lanyard, or do you have to use the one they give you/buy the kcon lanyard?
-
Hooray!!! Me and my fiance Blake got ours!!!
But I got a blue one and he got a red one with a chibi of the mascot...does that mean he got a kid badge? Cause he is 20 lol!
-

yup, that would be a kid badge XD looks like someone isn't quite on the ball this year.
-
I emailed reg and turns out my address didn't go through right or something... hopefully that'll fix everything and when I get mine it's not the wrong color o_o
-
ahhh just received my badge today <3 so happy.
-
got mine finnally o.o but I should of gotten it sooner then what i did >> becuse i orded it last december
-
what numbers I want to hear them :3
-
gah i think it's like...9 hundred something.
-
gah i think it's like...9 hundred something.
407
-
mine is 905
-
still wondering about the whole lanyard thing though. :/
-
still wondering about the whole lanyard thing though. :/
last year they gave you the lanyard at con
-
yeah but i was wondering if you had to use the lanyard provided for you of if you could bring your own.
-
that is actually a very good question i think we would have to ask the staff about that
-
i had a post on the last page about it. i am always paranoid about my badge falling off and getting lost forever with the small clip on badge holder they give you at the con DX and i don't want to purchase one of the kumoricon lanyards that hang on your neck. i was at hot topic the other day and saw a Gir lanyard that hangs around your neck and i was like "This would be perfect for my kcon badge!" but i don't know if you're able to bring your own.
-
I have seen people with their own. But as i said might have to ask the staff.
-
yeah. who would i pm?
-
I emailed registration a few days ago about my fiance's badge and I have not heard back, he got a kids badge on accident and we need to know if we have to send it back or not? It seems a lot of people had this problem, did anyone get an answer on theirs?
And my badge number I believe is 961 lolz
-

Yeah, they told me to go ahead and mail my friend's badge (she also got a youth badge on accident) back to them and they would fix the mistake.
As for badge numbers, I've got 1129....I think. Too lazy to go to the other room and look. LOL.
-
I dont use a lanyard i use soemthign simular to it so i can pull it out from the side so people can see it
-
for me i fear getting my badge stolen it has happened twice for me already.
-
You've had your badge stolen at con? Or before? Either way, that is low. Who would do that? It's not like they could use it, or sell it...or really do anything with it.
-

Stolen at con twice so that's why i keep with the lanyard it hasn't gotten stolen when I have had it.
-
wait so if you are minors and you got your badge. But it has a full version of the mascot (not Chibi), is that a ms-print?
-
if your a minor and you did not get a yell badge with a chibi on it, it's a mis-print.

I'm just really REALLY paranoid that my clip badge holder is going to fall off and be lost forever. especially somewhere outside the con space.
-
I personally don't like the clip badge to cosplay for myself because my badge has been yanked off and stolen. So a tighter more secure lanyard might be best.

If it does fall off, please come see the Lost & Found people. In general, your fellow attendees are so conscientious that we usually have stacks of boxes of stuff left over every year. Seriously. :)
Try hanging out with the L&F people for a little while during con, and you'll see a steady stream of people coming in all day... because they really care about their fellow attendees and want to make sure someone's driver's license, expensive camera, badge, important memorabilia, new iPhone, etc doesn't get lost. If it gets dropped as opposed to being yanked off and stolen, it's almost sure to be turned in.

I'm really sorry to hear this has happened to you. If you want to bring in your own lanyard, please do so - the only thing we really care about is that people keep the badge's face easily visible at all times (except during photos, of course).
If a line is really crowded and people have to stop and rummage around for a badge, it holds things up. So it makes the yojimbo's lives much easier if a lanyard makes someone feel more secure that they can keep their badge out without accidentally dropping it or having it yanked off and stolen.
-
Ouch, double-post. I shoulda thought to add this to the last one...
It sounds like most of these questions could be better answered by the Kumoricon registration staff, who do keep an eye on the 2011 Registration FAQ/Guide/Answer Topic (http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=15259.0). If you have a question or comment that doesn't directly pertain to the registration process, what kind of badge you get, etc, then please do leave it here - but otherwise, it'd be better to let the official reg staff handle it.
(If you already have tried asking in that thread but the reg staff haven't seen it yet, please feel free to PM me and I'll give them a poke.)

Thank you very much for this information it is very helpful to me to know. Also Are you guys giving out lanyards this year or no?
-
Sorry, I don't know... that would be a great question for the reg staff page (http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=15259.0), though.
-
I actually dropped my badge last year while waiting in line for closing ceremonies. Someone found it and I got it back before I knew it was gone. But that's just my personal experience.
-
Badge 1293 <.< such a high number XD
-
I got the wrong color badge =[ I'M NOT A MINOR NO MATTER HOW MUCH I LOOK LIKE ONE! ><
-
So i got my re-sent badge the other day in the right color(yellow because i'm 15), but it has the mascot on the front of it in full size and not in it's chibi form.
I'm curious as to weather or not they still put the chibis on the front of the 17 and younger badges or not, or if this is another mis-print.
-
Saddly they only put chibis on children and teens in my experiance you only get the full mascot when you come of age.
-
Until I was 18 I always had a chibi on my badge. :/
This being my second 'adult' con (My birthday is the month AFTER con. DX) it is my second time with an adult mascot. Both times before I had chibis.
But I got my badge today/yesterday in the mail and ordered the ones for Griff and my brother who will be going to con for his first time this year! :D
-
I ordered my sister's just a couple days ago. she got 1410. :D
-
My fiance got his re-sent badge yesterday, he is glad he has the correct one now! Excited for the con x3
-
I haven't gotten my badge yet, and I'm getting really worried. (I ordered my badge before the April deadline) :/
-

have you e-mailed them? maybe they messed up a little on the info.
-
I got mine a while back. I think I'm 629.

...excuse me while I go do that and bash my head against the wall. (My god, I'm an idiot! I didn't even notice the email they had...((and my lack of attention doesn't help either! DX))
-
I got mine the other day, on the same day as my boots no less. #1267 represent! And blue, haha.
-
#628 lol
-
1190 reporting in!
-
Don't remember my number, but I got mine a little while ago. BLUE BADGE AWWWWWWWWWWWWWYEAH
-
I got mine months ago... like, February. Badge #221. Fifth adult badge, makes me feel old. XD hahaha The only trouble about getting it so early is keeping track of it until con.
-
Got ours. One Red and one blue.
It's funny because my boyfriend has the blue one and I have the red one, but with him cosplaying Kurogane and with me cosplaying Fai, the colors are switched XD.

Ummm.. I hate to say this but I think you may have the wrong color.
The red ones are for children 12 and under. :(
My girlfriend had to send her back twice cause they sent her 2 red ones and shes 20..
They seem to be having a lot of issues getting everyone the right color.
-
I'm 88 :D
-
well i got two V.I.P. badges but had to send them back because they were the wrong ones
-
Just realized last night that my badge is a child (12 and under). I guess I'm really going for accuracy with my Madoka cosplay lol :p This isn't really all that great though, as I'm 20...
I emailed registration and I hope I hear back from them...

Yeah! To update, I emailed and they got back to me pretty quickly. I'm getting a new one in this last mail out. Make sure to check your badges if you have them, people! :) :)

I got my badge today, but after reading the previous posts here I'm a bit confused. It is a *yellow* badge (the background is yellow), but it has the full mascot on it. Is it the right one or not? >__>;;
-
not right you need a chibi on the yellow badge.
-
What kind of badge did I get then? o_o
Apparently, that's what the teen badge is supposed to look like this year...
-
I got mine today #1572 and its the right color. My second time going as an adult. :)
-

I don't remeber getting anything that said a teen badge would have a adult mascot on it a teens has always been a chibi mascot with a yellow background
-
I really wish a mod that knew about these problems would weigh in and explain the situation... My badge is fine, but it seems like a lot of other people's are messed up. Or at least not clarified as to if they're right or not.

Yes that would be really nice if they would clear up some things because i don't know what is going on with the badges this year all all and it seems like they are changing something or not at all and it's confusing people.
-

Yay for being the few that got the right one the first time. :3
It's an exclusive club apparently. X3
(3rd year first time I even got my badge at all. Last year they lost it in the mail, then again at will call.)
-
me and my moms are here have been for a while I am just worried about all these miss prints....
-
Hi all,
I'm not a mod, but I work in the registrations department. Just to hamper any confusion on the last few posts I've read, the youth badge this year is yellow in color, but has the adult mascot on it, not the chibi. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Oh gosh thank you so much i have been confused with all the yellow badges with the adult mascot because I was always used to the yellow badges having chibis
-
I'm just wondering why red child badges were necessary at all? Just to make sure there aren't children running around without guardians or what? Seems like it just made everyone confused.

Thank you for coming in and clarifying... ~please~ feel free to pre-empt anything the mods would say, 'cause you actually know what's going on. We only know what we've overheard at meetings and suchlike. (^_^);
I'm just wondering why red child badges were necessary at all? Just to make sure there aren't children running around without guardians or what? Seems like it just made everyone confused.
I'm not one of the experts, but you nailed the main reason already. Chibis (kids who need red badges) need to have a parent or guardian with them at all times to be safe.
There's a thread elsewhere talking about a (alleged) pedophile/hebephile getting busted by the police at another con - that kind of stuff is why we take it seriously. We'll do our best to protect underage people from human trash, regardless... but by far the best way we can protect the chibis isn't anything we can do directly. It's by making sure they keep a parent or guardian with them at all times. For that, we need to know who they are.
-
One thing, though... for a fast/accurate response on badge questions, the official registration thread is the best place to go. I'll be glad to answer questions if I know (and I'm sure the other mods would as well), but there's a lot about registration we don't know.
The best people to ask are the registration staff - either directly (registration@kumoricon.org (registration@kumoricon.org)), or in the registration FAQ / thread (http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=15259.0).
It's fine if people want to talk about the badges, what their numbers are, when they got them, new ideas for badge designs, etc... but badge questions really should go to the registration thread.
-
Woot! Got my Badge today, #1798. You guys mail them out pretty fast.
-
Got mine today - 1741. So excited, this will be my first con. ^.^
Just stressing that my costume might not be here in time.
-

Hello everyone.
First off, I'd like to say on behalf of the Registration Staff, thank you for your purchase for Kumoricon 2011.
This year you may have noticed people being more vocal about their badge errors (and we like that!). However, because people are being more vocal it may seem to some like there has been an explosion of badge errors this year, especially in comparison to previous years. This is not the case.
Out of the 2100 or so pre-reg badges we've processed so far this year, only about 100 have been shipped by mistake. Mistakes happen, but the number of badge errors we've shipped this year is about where we expected it to be. Do we wish we were perfect? Of course! But we do make mistakes, and we fix them as soon as we know about them.
I hope this clears up some of the confusion about badge printing out there. If you have more questions, you can email us (registration@kumoricon.org), talk to us at the next general meeting, or even learn about it first hand by signing up as staff!
Thanks Again!
Chris Blackburn
Assistant Registration Manager

Since I'm staff, I won't be getting mine until Day 0 of the con. The lowest number I've ever gotten was #003. That was kind of funny, because I recommended #026, and superjaz wanted #003. I got it instead, and I think she got what I wanted. (I think this was in '08, but I don't remember for sure).
If it was 2009, you can blame me for not enforcing deadlines ^.^

That's okay, we just blame you everything regardless. Sometimes it's even true. (^_~)

Hey sorry but i have another question ^^; You see, i don't have any type of ID with me, but would it be alright if i used my dad's ID(he's going to be there at the con in person to show his ID of course)?

No i don't. I go to an online school so they don't need ID there.

Just want to let everyone know. We (the reg staff) don't really check this thread too often so if you have any questions about badges or registration then please post in the Registration FAQ thread: http://www.kumoricon.org/forums/index.php?topic=15259.0
Let's make it easy for the mods and keep the posts on topic about receiving your badge. ;D

Who has the lowest number?
-
Since I'm staff, I won't be getting mine until Day 0 of the con. The lowest number I've ever gotten was #003. That was kind of funny, because I recommended #026, and superjaz wanted #003. I got it instead, and I think she got what I wanted. (I think this was in '08, but I don't remember for sure).

After a certain point we couldn't mail out anymore badges and sadly this included replacements. :(
Any badges we didn't send out will be held in Will Call but please send us a email as soon as possible to confirm that your badge is there and will be ready for you to pick up (No fee!).
