Title: 13 Year Old: ID help
Post by: Syd-chan on August 30, 2007, 11:18:21 pm
Now how would a 13 year old go about getting an ID? Would it be from your school or is there a place to sign up somewhere by your hometown or whatever? I'm going to 2008, so.....yeah.

Your school ID, if it has a picture of you on it and your name it should work fine. It's what I've used the past two years. :>

or you could take a parent and some paper work to the DMV and get a state ID. There are pretty much good anywhere in the state.

Just guessing here, you're under 18, but your parents were there checking in also and vouched for your age bracket?  As all legal responsibility is theirs anyway, and you couldn't be out after hours or visit an adult event, it wouldn't really matter IMO, and probably in the actual policy's position.

Be sure to have your school or state ID for next year, as Gaming will once again have a strict policy on game and controller check-outs requiring official ID. A lot of people didn't have theirs, and state law (For WA and OR) requires you have your ID on you at all times. Good luck!

I agree with everyone else.  Student body cards should be fine, so make sure your parents help you get that once school pics come around this fall.  If you are afraid for whatever reason that school id isn't good enough, Oregon (Washington as well, I believe) issues state id cards for people of all ages.
