Title: 2013 Art Show
Post by: Jamiche on July 20, 2013, 11:20:09 pm
The rules and sign-ups for this year's Art Show are available here: Rules (http://https://www.kumoricon.org/art-show-rules)  Registration Form (https://www.kumoricon.org/files/forms/2013/art_show_2013_registration.pdf)

This is a separate event from Artist Alley... you do not have to be part of Artist Alley to participate, and being in Artist Alley does not exclude you from participating in the Art Show.  If you are unable to part of Artist Alley, this is a good opportunity for you to be able to display your work at the convention.

Artists will be able to display up to 10 pieces, or whatever will fit on a 4'x4' board.  Attendees will be able to bid on the artwork, and any artwork that has received 4 or more bids will be auctioned off Monday morning.

Once again we offering a Print Shop, were you can offer copies of your work for purchase... please see the rules for more information.

Registration forms can be submitted online, or via mail.  If space allows, they will also be accepted at the convention on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have any questions, please post here or email artshow@kumoricon.org.

There will be tables as well for items that cannot be hung on the boards.  Just mention on your form or in your email that you need a table.

Thank you for answering my questions in the Early Bird thread, lol!

I have been wanting to enter for years, but I am interested in the possibility of their being a charge for someone who would just like to showcase their work and not sell. I may like you said, decide to sell at least something but I am more interested in just showcasing and having people see my stuff. =)

So, how does it work? I would set up some of my dolls with a sheet that has the bid spaces on it right? Then Monday they get auctioned off, but then what?

So are prints alright or does it have to be the original work to hang in the show? Because a lot of my fanart I have digital copies still and I can get them printed at Walgreens or somewhere else, but I cannot find the actual original.

Also, if I have more than ten pieces but they all fit on the board, because some are larger or some are smaller am I allowed to do more than ten. And one of my drawings is of sailor moon nude, but its tasteful like an artistic nude, not detailed, and here hair is covering the bottom half of her and front of the breasts, would that need to be in an 18+ view folder or would it be okay to display?

Anyone please? I've been ready to choose my pieces and submit my form for for a bit now.
