It has not happend to me yet (I just take photos so it's a bit easier to steal)

DA is the perfect place to get your artwork stolen.
(yes watermarks are a beautiful thing)

It's happened to a couple of my pictures.  But they never claim credit for it and don't charge money for it so I don't get upset.  However, if they did, that's another story.

No one's tried as of yet for me. I'm hoping it never happens. But I try to be on the look out.

I've had someone use mine on here, but whatever.  Would like credit, however minor, but if they aren't selling or use it for anything it doesn't really matter.

A long time ago I ran a Sailor Moon fansite, with a large and dedicated fanart section, with a lot of my own work in it. One day I received a fanart submission that was an exact copy of one of my drawings on the site. I put it up anyway, but damn!

I've not gotten anything stolen, to my knowledge at least.

I do it from time to time, myself, but usually if I post the image on another website, I do point out the account user by name.

I took someones pic to show people it, they had there signature on it so, otherwise I wouldn't have.

I've never been stolen from that I know of, but I've personally caught people ripping off my friends. I was livid. I've also had a really old image of mine turned (for all practical purposes) public domain because I didn't think to sign it in any way, and I used a public upload site. -_o

As a matter of fact, this reminds me that I need to add the usernames of the artists who drew my signature images. (At the very least. I should probably go ask them for permission, as well. I planned to make every image clickable to their original submissions, but signature character limit stopped me.)

Nevermind. I removed the images instead.

That happens annoyingly a lot in "rp" areas, like on GAIA and stuff.

Someone on dA took a picture of mine in black and white, photoshopped a bunch of neon colors on it, watermarked it, and claimed as their own. I mean come on, I have the negitive of the photo, I have the original print of the photo, and still they wont say its mine. dA wont do anything  either.

If you have the photo up there all you have to do is look at the dates they were put up.  Unless you took your picture down it will be pretty obvious as long as you make a proper petition to da.
