Check-In
All attendees, both those who have pre-registered and those registering at the door, need the following to check in:
- Photo ID
- Parental permission form if under age 18
If you are pre-registered, then you also need:
- Your badge/membership card, if it was mailed
If you opted to have your badge mailed but it was not mailed or not received due to a problem, don't worry—you can pick up your badge at the convention (you won't need to buy another).
Convention Policies
Kumoricon convention policies – All attendees and people at the convention must follow these policies.
Minors
A minor is anyone under the age of 18.
Minors ages 13 to 17 are required to have a signed parent permission form in order to attend the convention. Download this form below. This can be mailed to us in advance, or brought to the con during check-in. Minors between ages 13 and 17 no longer require a convention guardian to attend, though we do encourage parents/guardians to come enjoy the con with their family.
Minors age 12 and under must be accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian who is also a paid attendee of the convention.
Your age on August 31, 2012 determines what type of registration you need to purchase. If you turn 13 or 18 during the convention, you can swap out your badge for the upgraded age type during the convention, starting on the day of your birthday, without any additional cost, but if you intend to do this, please contact us in advance to make arrangements at registration@kumoricon.org.

Other Types of Registration
People seeking to attend Kumoricon as staff, panelists, Artists Alley members, exhibitors, press, or industry should not register using the instructions on this page but should instead register separately.
Staff Registration
Please pursue the staff membership process by seeking approval for a staff position, or speaking with current directors or staff to seek out a position that fits you if you are unsure.
If you have already pre-registered as an attendee, you can change from an attendee to staff if you decide to become staff later and are approved. This is an upgrade, and in that case, the difference between your attendee registration fee and staff dues will be refunded to you.
Panelist Registration
Some panelists are eligible for a discount, pending approval. Closer to Kumoricon 2012, instructions for applying for a panelist discount will be posted. Persons seeking the panelist discount should apply as a panelist rather than registering as an attendee.
