is it too late to put in a new event ?

i would like to host a Swasher fighting fun time what do i need to do that with this Con ?

a Swasher is a child safe sword used in http://www.heros-experience.com/ its what i do as my line of work and i have fun demoing it as i will be out their working as staff i would like to do this too

What i am saying is i would like to use a room at the con to play group sword fighting games and have more swords than just for me so others could play with me

I see, I do think that it's too late for you to sign up for your own panel, seeing as how it's so close to the con, you may want to regester for next year's kcon.

That's just my opinion, most panelist/vendors book a year in advance.

Just a quick question, is this anything like the SCA that your trying to do? Or anything medival? if it is, you might want to try Orycon.

As a con veterin, medival things might not be the best thing for an anime/manga convention. But that's just my opinion.

Yes, I have to agree with you on that point.

However, it's far to late to turn in an application for a panel/vendor spot. You'll have to register for next year.

Again, you may want to try Orycon for this. It would be more of a hit with them over there. What your trying to do with sword fighting is more orientated for them and not us.

I'm not trying to steer you away from Kcon or anything... Just that it may not be very popular here at Kcon.

It says on the panel forms that they need to be turned in by June 6th. I'm pretty sure that you can still request one. n.n

As GenkiIchigo said, it is not too late to submit a panel request form.  That being said, I don't know that your idea would be a fit for our convention.  One, you would not be able to have a room for an extended period of time.  Two, I'm concerned about the safety and liability issues that could arise from bashing other people with swords, even if they are child safe.

If you are still interested, you need to submit a panel request form with alittle more detail than you've given, and I will consult with the rest of the board on whether or not this is a viable panel for us.
