There will always be newbies. As we got older, the younglings will seem younger and younger.

And, of course 'we were never that young / dramatic / immature'.

Whenever it was that I first got my account, I kept being scared off by kids and drama and a general sense of WTF?

Me too... but there has been a large influx of people since after con last year... and they are like "the new ones who i don't know"
I don't know how many there actually are, mostly because i don't post outside of the spam forum... i don't even LOOK outside the spam forum ><
New people do sometimes make things a lot more fun though ^^

They have already been substantially angered, actually. I was banned there for a while, but then it got undone.

That was not intentional, but a side-effect of a possible misconfiguration of the SMF forum permissions (we have a somewhat complex setup) involving the permission to post to each forum area. It has happened before by accident when we've added people to the staff group, or changed group memberships, when we've done it slightly wrong.
