So i think we should have our first meetup next month. November seems like a good time amirite?

So does anyone know of any good places we can meetup without getting rained on?

I know a really spiffy parking garage that would be a good place for a photoshoot, but that might be a bit wierd.

Post your opinions ftw.

Saturday, Novermber 14, 2009

1:00 PM
Meet at Pioneer Courthouse Square

Between 1:30-1:45
Move meetup to Clackamas Town Center(?)

Bring food, or money for food, as we may be out there for a while.
Bring a DS if you have one, and if your costume is done, come in cosplay!

Lets make this a fun day everyone!

Well here is the deal.
after having conflict with security guards at both malls in the past, i would much prefer lloyd center in terms of strictness, and meetup-ability.
even if we just meet up there, and then go somewhere else.

but pioneer place could work too, i would just have to talk to mall security beforehand.

Its not too big of a deal if your cosplays aren't done yet, you will at least get to tell people about them.
the idea is to meet up, and hang out.

Taking pictures is a pretty big part too, i guess.

I would go even though Ash isn't done...He hasn't been done for about a year now xD but I'm not sure if I can. It really depends on where and when...

im thinking it will probably be the second saturday in november, and we will most likely be meeting at lloyd center, or pioneer place.
i need more opinions though.

so does this mean you are, or aren't going, because we will most likely be inside most of the time.
if we meetup at lloyd center, we will be inside most of the time.
if we meetup at pioneer place, we will be inside until we get kicked out for loitering.

I think it would be offensive for me to be somewhere like that in my costumes so it's a definite no from me if we are going to be inside. I'd just help get you guys kicked out faster

There's a good chance I will have nothing done at that point, but the Lloyd Center is cool with me.

Maybe we shouldn't worry about costumes this time, since it will probably be too rainy for a good photoshoot and few people have anything. We could bring them though, to show off, or get tips and comments on or whatever. I just think that would work better this time, so early in the year. (New year meaning after K-con, since that's obviously all that matters.xD)

i don't see any problem with it.
in fact, i think its better that you show up without a costume, rather than to not show up at all.

if you do not want to be a part of the group, you are still more than welcome to come hang out with us and all of our tom foolery during the meetup.

I wouldn't mind.. My brother is a maybe as well, and I only have one cosplay planned at the moment. Not sure what I would be yet though. >o< It'd take me a while to put together whatever it is that I decide to be since I am flat broke. TT^TT

Yes, but pokemon gijinka cosplay is fun! Cosplay is fun in general...

i totally do too.
my friends who aren't into pokemon, or are just nice, often give me there old pokemon toys and such because im somewhat of a fanatic.
its pretty cool.

Well, I feel like the reason I got ignored at the picnic was because no one had heard of her, like that somehow made *me* inferior or something. Bear in mind there was someone there who had no idea who Cyrus is, despite him being a primary villian.

*Warning* Lloyd Center does not allow cosplayers.... they have been have a lot of trouble (stabbings and shottings) and if you meet up in a big group you will need a permit/ permission... Also if you come in even a small group no mask, weapons, a ton of make-up. It is a lot of hassle! I suggest Clackmas they are super nice about things just call a head and warn them... Thank you!

its pretty doubtful that we will be going there though. like i said its a hassle.
unless everyone wanted to meetup beforehand, and then go there. it might be fun to ride the max with a bunch of folks in cosplay xD
